These were a great buy. I had wanted a pair of 16x50 binocs for a long time but theyre a little pricy for someone on a fixed income. This pair popped up as an open box and the price was about half off of retail so I jumped. Nikon makes great products and these are no exception . Very sharp and clear with good eye relief. Our yard is full of birds which was my main reason for buying them. Im very glad that I did.

I have owned two previous binoculars. But I have found the optics in these binoculars to be amazing. I can clearly see objects like birds through these binoculars with out the aid of my glasses. Yes they are little rugged to carry. But with the included straps. They can be efficiently carried in the outdoors.

Awesome binoculars at a reasonable price! These are typical Nikon binos with crystal clear quality optics no disappointments here! Tri-State Camera shipped quickly and packed item well. Thanks for the new zoom binos that I intend to use for star gazing!

I was expecting a better binoculars from Nikon. I have Prostaf scope, D850, D7100, D90 and Z50 cameras and lots of lenses, all of them very good. This binoculars are not well protected as the cups flying easily from the optics. I have some Avalon which are better designed. The glass is not HD, and only the left eye can be adjusted. Lack of luminosity. Don't like them too much so far.
It was slightly less robust than the Bushnell Legacy WP 10x50, and, I assume, the discontinued Bushnell 8x42, and the warranty is somewhat less helpful. However, this Nikon Aculon 8x42 binocular's quality for the price can not be beat by any other available model. My wife finds it easy to use. The case is junk, wo a strap, and too small to add closed-cell blue foam/ensolite padding to the inside. Find a strapped shoulder bag with a real zipper (not spiral type) AND a flap/strap with a clip to backup the zipper for safety. Use a Ziplock bag inside to keep the binoc dust free. The binoc strap plastic adjuster is NOT secure, despite my very careful following the installation steps. Experiment (carefully) to find the best length for you, and sew the strap to that fixed ... MoreIt was slightly less robust than the Bushnell Legacy WP 10x50, and, I assume, the discontinued Bushnell 8x42, and the warranty is somewhat less helpful. Experiment (carefully) to find the best length for you, and sew the strap to that fixed length with durable thread. The eyepiece cap is good. The objective caps are useless because they can not be fixed to a cord/the binoc, and will soon be lost.
Not perfect, a little hard to get the adjustments right at maximum zoom. But brighter than I expected, and better at anything less than max zoom, particularly if you pick one zoom setting and stay with it. Zooming might mean you want to spent a little time adjusting the eyepiece setting to get both eyes to focus perfectly together. However, even in the worst case, this is a slight issue. I would buy again.
Sharp lenses. Silky smooth focusing and adjustments. Absolutely like new at a very good price. Guaranteed with a two warrantee. What's not to like?!
Thank you so much for this great product binoculars. I brought these for my darling adult son who suffers badly with mental health issues. They are so crystal clear and so easy to use. I’ve sneaked them out once or twice on my backyard bird watching times. My son is so happy with them. He’s been wanting a pair of binoculars for a few years now and I put it off because I like good quality and didn’t think I could afford any. But when I found your deal I was so happy. I’m now after a decent microscope for my horticulture and Conservation trained daughter. So would once again seek your recommendations. Thanks also that it arrived right on time also. Bless you
Most avid deer hunters know there are certain hunting essentials you don't skimp on when it comes to price. "Optics", in most hunter's minds, definitely fall into that category. The old mantra, "you get what you pay for" is generally the rule and not the exception regarding hunting gear. Not so in this case. These Nikon Aculon binos absolutely deliver way more than you expect them to deliver at such an affordable price. Most hunter's would argue that if your scopes, range finders, and binos don't cost you north of $300.00, then they're quality and performance will be inferior at best. While this may be true to some degree regarding those items, every now and then an optics manufacturer surprises us all with a fantastic high quality item at a ridiculously low price. ... MoreMost avid deer hunters know there are certain hunting essentials you don't skimp on when it comes to price. Enter the Nikon Aculon line of binoculars. These guys offer incredible image quality, durability, and superb ergonomics AND at a price nearly every hunter's budget is happy to oblige. I've owned a pair for many years, now, and they remain, to this day, one of the absolute best purchases I've made in 26 years of deer hunting. Just to give you an example of the Nikon Aculon's pedigree, some hunting buddies and I conducted our own little optics "shootout". The 3 contenders included a pair of Steiner binos that cost well north of $200.00, a pair of Leupold binos that cost north of $400.00, and my Nikon Aculon binos that came in at a meager cost of just under $100.00. While the Steiner and Leupold binos certainly offer incredible quality and performance, all of us agreed that, in terms of image quality, ergonomics, and construction, my Nikon Aculon binos more than held their own against 2 high quality manufacturers in Steiner and Leupold. In fact, with the exception of a tinge of peripheral blur in the Aculon, it was almost impossible to truly distinguish a clear winner in image quality and clarity among the 3. So, the final verdict? You can absolutely get amazing high quality optics the higher up the price ladder you climb, but you will certainly not be compromising high quality at an insanely affordable price by choosing from Nikon's incredible line of Aculon binoculars. Well done, Nikon.
So far it has been a great set of binoculars for sunny day trips to do just about anything! For me that means camping, hiking, the occasional sport event, and maybe to the park if I am feeling it. Camping and hiking are my most common activities personally, so it was important to measure just how effective are these binoculars?Immediately I caution against wet trips. The internals will not be able to handle any moisture, so ensure that the set remains dry at all times. They perform very well under bright conditions, as expected from Nikon optics. However, the real test was under low light conditions and this is where they struggled. Finding a proper focus using the thumbwheel proved very diffifult at even 80 yards with some modest lighting. Essentially, the binoculars lose focus at closer distances the darker it is. With some steady hands and some keen vision, however, one could possibly identify larger objects or creatures even under low lighting. If you can take care of these binoculars and have no plans to use it in incliment weather... it will perform up to most of your needs if not all.Pros:+ Tight loop on the back of the case for more secure tethering+ 5.75" (14.6 cm) height, 7.25" (18.5 cm) width is large enough to feel comfortable in my hands.+ Carrying strap is strong enough to support casual climbs, would not expect to survive hardy use.+ Very good clarity in sunny conditions.+ Adjustment knob is smooth enough to make precise adjusments.Cons:- The case has a weird loop for attachment. Not very convenient so i will opt for a better case.- Vulnerable to wet conditions and is not structurally durable. I will have to be very careful with it when hunting. Will have to invest in a better binocular for those tough weather days.- The observing end of the binoculars feel somewhat small personally. Would rather have opted for a x50
