It’s so amazing, highly recommend. Having gourmet ice cream at home and soCheaply. The recipes are great and can use them as a guide to make your own. Recently made mango sorbet and gelato cookies and cream and frozen yogurt none of them lasting long. Also what’s great is you can control the sugar content so having delicious ice cream that isn’t packed with sugar. The containers are pint size which is awesome cause we don’t have a lot of freezer space. It’s worth it, if you love ice cream and don’t want to keep buying it, especially that it’s usually jam packed with sugar and un necessary additives, but not compromise on flavour this is the machine for you.

A definite add to your kitchen!

I would definitely recommend the Ninja Creami for ice cream and desert lovers! It is fun and easy to use and lives up to the Ninja brand. The machine is about the size of a coffee maker with a heavy duty motor in it. The machine comes with three pints (if you need more for your family, Ninja does sell them) and lids so you can freeze different types of bases based on your families preferences. It also comes with an outer bowl and lid ,and the creaming paddle. The quick start guide is easy to follow with picture examples to follow the written. There is also a recipe book with several recipes and some lite options. Not with the Creami, the containers that come with the Creami are pint size and do not take up a lot space in your freezer. You do need to plan a bit ahead by freezing your base the day before, but it really isn't a big deal. Take out your cup, toss in your treats and select one of the built-in programs. It allows for the freedom of multiple options instead of one large container of the same type of frozen treat. A great addition to our kitchen

Unfortunately, it only makes a pint at a time, but it does come with two containers and lids, perfect for my husband and I. If you want to buy more, the company offers a discount upon registering your product. Having extra would be nice since most of the mixtures need to be in the freezer for 24 hours before processing. Plus, the pints and lids could both be in the dishwasher because they’re safe on the top-rack. This appliance is quieter and much easier to use than I had originally anticipated. I am definitely appreciating all of its yummy capabilities, and I’m anxious to check out other Ninja products now that I’ve tried this one!

Easy to Use and Clean

The Ninja CREAMi is really pretty amazing. When I got it, I was excited about the possibilities, but also figured it would be a big hassle to clean. I couldn’t have been more wrong. I tried it out with something simple, with fruit I already had on hand, and made banana sorbet. In the pics you can see how creamy the sorbet turned out, so much so that I could eat it with a plastic spoon. And I’ve shown in the pics the only parts that need to be cleaned afterward. The paddle rinsed cleaned easily, and the top lid that holds the paddle also rinsed clean easily. The pint container that the ice cream, sorbet, or whatever you make has an airtight lid that snaps on, so you can pop it in the freezer if you don’t eat the entire contents right away. And it’s just a simple plastic container, so will be easy to clean once empty. It does come with an extra pint container in case you want to make something else before you’ve emptied the first one.It comes with a recipe booklet, and you can literally make the most indulgent ice cream or even frozen alcoholic shakes, as well as healthy fruit sorbets or light ice cream. And it’s so easy. With all of the recipes, they involve mixing and adding the contents to the pint container and freezing it for as many hours as the recipe specifies. Then you put the pint with the frozen mixture in the machine and creamify it on the proper setting. It took but a few minutes to turn my frozen mushed up bananas in the pint, into the creamy sorbet you see in my pics. I was truly amazed. And of course because it’s a Ninja product, you know it’s good quality. And also, it’s quite beautiful to look at.I don’t have anything negative to say about this product. If you like frozen treats, and especially if you’re someone like me who wants to make light, lower calorie treats, you definitely want this!

Easy to Use! Works Well When Following Recipe

This machine is extremely easy to assemble and use. There aren’t a lot of pieces and the instructions are clear and easy to understand; unless you need troubleshooting for things that don’t exist. The first thing you do is wash the containers, lids, and blade. Then you proceed to browse the recipe guide and pick one out. For my first one I chose the No-prep inspiration chart, the brewed coffee and coffee creamer recipe. Since I don’t use sugar or sugar substitutes, I just used plain heavy cream and coffee. This absolutely did not work. I froze it for 24 hours as instructed on a flat surface, I made sure my freezer was at the right temperature (-7 to 9 degrees). I proceeded to use the machine; it’s super easy to place the lid on and lock it into place and then place the entire bowl into the machine and lock that in place. But the machine did not like what I chose at all. When the blade got to the bottom it fell off inside the pint. I later learned that if your sugar or fat proportion is too low (or too high) it will not work correctly. The end result was extremely powdery and crystalline and it was very hard to dig the blade back out. I later re-spun it by adding milk and using the milk-shake function and it was delicious but not the texture you would expect, still crystalline. For my second attempt I decided to follow a different recipe using the substitution guide and following it very carefully. I used their Dairy Free Pumpkin Ice-Cream recipe on their website. I swapped out oat milk for regular milk and coconut cream for heavy cream, and did use maple syrup as a sweetener so I could ensure it would work this time, since the ratio does matter. This time it worked, the blade didn’t fall off but I was left with super crumbly powder, so I re-spun and it turned into ice cream! Super delicious and creamy. This machine is very tall, deep, and heavy, but not wide. It looks very nice sitting on the counter. I do like that it comes with two pints and two lids. If you have the ability to eat everything in the recipe and are able to follow it exactly then this machine is definitely a win. It functions well when you follow those fat and sugar ratios, but if you veer off the path and freestyle a recipe you will likely end up with something that doesn’t work or isn’t the texture you planned. All in all, this machine is very easy to use and it works well if you can eat everything in the recipe and you follow it exactly. I thought custom creations would be easier and that is not the case. So, if you have no dietary restrictions or limitations, I would absolutely recommend it!

Great machine room for future upgrades to perfect

So how does the ninja creami compare? I would say it’s the best but not perfect. Ice cream quality on all of them is fairly similar with the edge to the compressors and the ninja but the ninja is more easily served because it comes out of the machine at serving temp no need to freeze more afterwards or wait to thaw after being in freezer. It takes up the least counter space of all models. The 3 pints in comes with equals exactly 1.5 quarts so capacity is as much as most machines smaller than some but can be expanded as much as u want by buying extra pints which is nice but pints do seem overpriced to me machine price seems fair considering closest competitor paco jet is in the thousands but plastic pints are just plastic so seems pricy. While I think ninjas price for the machine is fair compared to Paco jet closest competitor it is much more than other machines available mostly because it’s new. U can get new freezer bowl machines for much less and pick up at goodwill all day for 5-10 dollars used. Compressors are more but at goodwill can still easily be acquired for 50-150 so this is your most expensive non commercial option but that will probably come down soon. The storage space in freezer is slightly better than freezer bowl as the pints are easier to fit than bowl but worse than compressor which requires no space unless u have leftover ice cream. It’s nice having option to make a traditional 1 quart or more recipe and fill multiple pints or make smaller batches in different flavors of just a pint. Do have to pre plan 24 hours but once you get started most people eat less than a pint a day so you can easily keep an endless supply on hand ready to go in just blend time but if you want to make and eat same day compressor wins and freezer bowl takes even longer since u have to refreeze after. Having different texture settings for gelato ice cream etc are nice but have to be careful u buy one with all the features since they sell both. Build quality seems very low end mostly plastic for this price point so I have longevity concerns but it works so far at least but feels like it could break easily and looks like my cheapest machine while actually being most expensive would love to have option for metal pints etc. Included recipes are nice as a starting point but u will get much better ice cream using traditional recipes ninja only included no cook and very basic ones to show how quick they could make prep time but in general if you want premium and if u don’t why are u making your own ice cream use better recipes. Ninja can make ice cream and sorbet out of things regular ice cream makers can’t ie can of pineapple and better less icy dairy free ice cream. Machine has limitations ie no ice or water in machine limits the smoothie option so a blender is still better for a regular smoothy and unfortunately no option for shaved ice. Need to freeze level and level leftovers for remixing is a bit of a hassle. It’s undeniably annoyingly loud but only for about 2 minutes per pint and compressor and freezer bowls make noise too quieter yes but for much longer. Use ear plugs or walk in other room and come back it’s worth it. If u have a ninja blender this is about half as loud as that so people are overly complaining about noise. You will quite often need to use respin button if it’s crumbly but after respinning it’s fine they aired on side of less melted because you can respin but you can’t refreeze quickly and adding mixins is essentially a respin so they didn’t want your ice cream to be too soft plus everyone’s freezer temp is a little different so you may need to play with your temp a little or respin. So overall my favorite machine so far but would love it to be quieter, lower cost, better built ie more metal less plastic, and stronger ie able to shave ice etc so I could throw anything at it with less worry of possibly breaking it and not having to wait 24 hours would also be nice but currently I still prefer it over my compressor machine for convenience and counter space even with the wait time.

My favorite I'd have to say is the Sorbet option I was very surprised amazed of how a can of fruit can be turned into something so delicious. I did try the ice cream option which is a very big deal for this machine for my personal taste I'd have to say it was a so-so. The reason for my answer is because when I tried the ice cream it did have a texture like eating a cloud if that's even understandable, it was soft it felt different than normal ice cream. My daughter she was fascinated she loved it she didn't care about anything she just wanted more and more and more. We made our own mix of mocha coffee ice cream mix with whipped cream a spoon of cream cheese, but when I ... MoreTo start this is amazing depending on what you are using it for and what your favorite dessert is. My daughter she was fascinated she loved it she didn't care about anything she just wanted more and more and more. We made our own mix of mocha coffee ice cream mix with whipped cream a spoon of cream cheese, but when I was eating it I felt the whip cream in my throat I could taste only the whipped cream I don't know if it's because I omitted the sugar but my kids enjoyed the ice cream so I guess that's what matters. The point is to make your own natural ice cream with the most healthy or the worse ingredients you can find and by worst I mean lots and lots of sugar of course haha. You have to be a bit careful it is a bit heavy you cannot manage it with one hand I learned that the hard way but it did not fall. It comes with two small jars with lids which is very convenient and helpful, I did think that the size of the jar was not going to give me enough ice cream or sorbet but I was very wrong it can feed my whole family we are a family of four. But we are all different we like different servings different sizes so for others this might be a bit inconvenient but you can always purchase additional containers to feed the size of your family. I must say this machine pays for itself because of all the ice creams outings we tend to do or purchase it adds up at the end of the year.

Powerful!

This machine is interesting. It makes ice cream, sorbet, and milkshakes. It does all of these things incredibly well. It’s powerful and works seamlessly. I think it’s a fantastic piece of equipment, and yet if you ask me if it’s for you, I’ll say maybe. For ice cream, if that’s your primary use, my recommendation is yes, absolutely. It makes one pint of it at a time, and it can make several pints in a row, provided you have the accessory containers and have prepped the ingredients in the container a day ahead. I found the ice cream I made to be creamy and delicious. For sorbet, another resounding yes. A can of mango in syrup, frozen a day ahead in the accompanying container, is amazing. I tried peaches as well, with the same result. So easy to operate, and ... MoreThis machine is interesting. It makes ice cream, sorbet, and milkshakes. It does all of these things incredibly well. So easy to operate, and fast! For milkshakes, if that’s your chief usage, I would say that while it makes delicious milkshakes with ease and power, it seems like a bit of overkill to buy it only for that purpose. Sort of like using your oven to make a single slice of toast. The directions are easy to follow, loading the container to be churned is simple, and the ingredient prep is straightforward. If you’re looking for a machine to make ice cream or sorbet, that can also make milkshakes, it’s a strong yes from me.

Tricky but works

I bought this the other day because I wanted to start making my own fresh ice cream. Waiting 24 hours sucks…lol. So I set up two pints of base to make, one was a protein shake and the other pineapple sorbet. The protein shake came out like powder, so I added heavy cream and it got slightly better, but definitely not like ice cream, but according to what I’ve read in forums, that’s because lack of fat for one and lack of sugar. The pineapple sorbet on the other hand was out of this world!!! 1 20oz can of crushed pineapple in natural juices and about 2.5 tablespoons brown sugar, on the sorbet telling, and perfect!!I will need to play around with it more to see if I can make actual ice cream with it, but I can see why some of the recipes call for cream cheese. The ... MoreI bought this the other day because I wanted to start making my own fresh ice cream. But only lasts a couple minutes.
