The multiple levels of blades make this possible, and create the perfectly blended consistency every time. No more chunky smoothies!! Most of all, the SAFETY of this blender is the number one reason I love it. You can’t even begin blending without the lid securely in place. If the lid comes off during blending, the blender immediately shuts off. It also has a timer on each blend setting so it won’t be left perpetually blending if you have to step away to deal with kids or pets. Highly HIGHLY recommend this blender if you want something safe, consistent, long lasting, and the highest of quality!!

Disappointed customer

Very very disappointed!!Had heard good things regarding this product purchased it on the 15/4/23. Has since completely stopped working 10 days later 25/4/23. As I work 12 hours a 6-6.Have literally just moved house today being the 30/4/23. I’ll be bringing the product back to Jbhifi Bundall where I purchased this item. I would like to add I have purchased many products over the years with this company let alone this store especially the last 6 months. I have had great success with these items. Apart from a Haier washing machine. I believe it only fitting to receive a compensation of some sort for this inconvenience. Especially to remain a content loyal customer moving forward.

I have used many different blenders/smoothie makers in the passed and nothing has come close to the efficiency and versatility of the nutri ninja blender! It is a great addition in making this product so versatile. Looking at the nutri ninja range on their website I would like to be able to purchase more accessories like this - such as the food processor. It would then mean that this one product would replace many in my kitchen. I like that it's neat and looks good on the side so I can leave it out permanently- this means I am much more likely to use it that something deep at the back of my kitchen cupboard!The negatives to this is definitely the noise and if someone is asleep in bed I would not want to use it - but I guess this is because the motor is so powerful which really makes a difference to end results of smoothies. It's also a lot bulkier than other smoothie makers so if you are just looking for a small compact smoothie maker this is not for you - for me this is not an issues as it is so much more than just a smoothie maker - especially with the addition of the pitches and if you can include other attachments. I would also like a bigger recipe and ideas book to come with the product - I've gained most my inspiration from the Internet their website has some great ideas which would be good if they were included in the product booklet.I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone.

When you attach the pitcher or the cup with the appropriate blade, the options available for that particular blade will light up on the base unit meaning there is very little chance you can break it through error (good for those of us who get a bit carried away in the kitchen!). The handbook provided tells you which settings to use, e.g. use the pureesetting for soups and sauces; use the auto IQ blend setting for juices. The blender has a lock safety function, meaning that it wont fire up unless you have locked the cup or pitcher in correctly which is an excellent feature. So far I have used this blender to make: soups, curry sauces, cake batters, bread dough, chocolate mousse, cocktails, juices and protein smoothies. Initially I was unsure about the auto IQ option, I thought it was just a gimick. Having used the auto IQ options for a variety of sauces, soups and drinks I can say I have been suitably impressed by these options! Everything I have made, even my curry sauce which I thought was already quite accomplished, comes out the perfect consistency. The blender takes ice, nuts, spices, powders/flours, hard fruits and veg in its stride; nothing has turned up lumpy or proved too difficult for the blender to handle. This is due to the 1500w motor and the super sharp blades. As far as blenders go, this is the best one I have ever had the pleasure of using. Maintenance and care: The components are a dream to wash, just run them under the tap immediately after using. I am a bit of a germ-a-phobe so I do a follow up wash in a sink of hot soapy water. The base unit is easily kept clean with a damp cloth or anti-bac wipe. The components are also dishwasher safe for those of you privy to such luxury. Cons: Whilst this is an impressive bit of kit, it does have a few cons as would be expected. The most notable would be the noise it creates, this thing is LOUD. However I do believe this is due to its powerful motor which is so powerful I have to hold the base unit still as it tends to travel across my kitchen side, another potential downside. As someone with a small kitchen I do find the machine somewhat cumbersome and all the various parts take up space, some kind of "stackability" would improve the experience. The inability to use hot ingredients is a drawback when pushed for time although not a deal breaker for me personally. Overall I am absolutely thrilled with this machine, I can't imagine life without it. I use it every single day.

I love how quick it is to blend smoothies, milkshakes, and thickshakes. I am keen to try making other more exotic items as it shows in the recipe booklet provided (homemade hommus, yum). Versatility is also important to me as I don't often need to utilise the full pitcher, and rather just use the small nutri Ninja cup for my Optifast shakes, Having a no spill lid is also conveniant as there is no need to dirty one of my glasses. But, with a little common sense and careful handling, cleaning them is easy-peasy. The IQ functions are fantastic as you just prep your ingrediants, load the lid or Nutri Ninja cup, and the IQ setting blends at different speeds and intervals so that everything is combined uniformly. I would definately recommend the product, especialy to families. My older children will have a Nutri smoothie for breakfast on the go as they travel early on public transport to school and timefor a sit-down breakfast is at a premium. BUY IT, TRY IT, YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED!!!

Have been looking for a super powerful blender that doesn't cost a fortune, and this one is perfect. The triple blades are amazing. I use it for some tough blends - raw nuts etc, and it works really well. Also not very noisy, especially considering the power. Highly recommend.

Misleading but good blender

I thought long and hard about purchasing a blender. I wanted a powerful blender but did not want to spend $200+ and my interest was mainly in making smoothies. After countless hours of research, I settled on the BL642 blender. In every search performed, it is advertised as a 1500W blender. Imagine my surprise when I received a 1200W blender instead. The pic of the blender on Macy's is misleading as it depicts 1500W. Yes, the description reads 1200W but how is the consumer to know which is correct when all other research, including the ninja site, reports that the BL642 is a 1500W blender? What was even more confusing is that the manual for the blender actually says BL640 when it arrived. Is it a BL640 1200W blender or BL642 1500W or 1200W? Again misleading. Smoothies turn out best when the fruits are frozen and blends pretty smoothly. I like the individual cups that allows you to take fresh smoothies to go. I plan on getting an additional two 12 oz. individual cups. Blending is quick and it's loud but not more than any other that I've used. The blades are very sharp, so take extra care when handling. I already received one cut attempting to dry the blades within the first week of ownership. Overall, I am satisfied with the blender but I still wished it was 1500W like I saw in the pic and what I know the BL642 is. I was disappointed by the fact that I was shipped a 1200W blender. Macy's should update the site to display correct picture and description of the item being sold.

The 2.1l jug needs improvement

I bought the blender in October 2019. We are using the blender every day for our smoothies. I use the large 2.1l jug so I can make the smoothies to everyone in one go. The quality of the smoothies are ok even though it’s not completely smooth, there are small pieces of pulp in the smoothie. I started to make the smoothie one the cup instead of the jug to make the texture more creamy and smooth it worked very well for about a month and then the Pro-Extractor Blades broke down. So I was back to using the large jug. Now the jug have become so damaged that about half a cup of liquid is leaking from the jug when I use it. Very impressed

I've had my blender now for a couple of weeks and have used it every day for smoothies. I'm really impressed with how well it does its job! I generally make green smoothies and my hold blender basically turned everything into mulch. So impressed with how smooth the Ninja gets everything - I use the blender jug for this. I've made smoothies for my kids using ice and frozen fruit (mostly using the Nutri Ninja cup) and they turn out amazing! It's all really easy to use. I follow the instructions in the book for the order in which to add everything which I find really helpful. I love that it has a range of different settings all at the touch of a button.
