Amazing machine!!!

This is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. The Ninja smoothie maker is wonderful, for so many reasons. I bought the model that has an extractor button, as well as a smoothie button. The machine does an excellent job, beyond my expectations. It is so well designed that I can’t stop telling people how great it is. I use the extractor button to make a perfect veggie smoothie, using kale, cucumber, carrot, parsley, cilantro, flax seed, chia seed, green apple, lime, ginger, celery, dandelion, radish, protein powder, and coconut milk. Delicious, and perfectly blended in about 60 seconds. One touch, and it’s done! Some reviewers think the machine is loud, but I think the noise is worth every decibel. Dare I say that I love my new toy?

I bought this upgrade from my previous Ninja. I love that there are some automatic pre-set features but you can also manually determine. I’ve been making baby purĆ©e in it and it’s so smooth! I really like the cup that’s specific for the making a spread, and it’s actually easy to clean if you do it right away. It also has a feature that it will only then on when the cup is properly locked, which wasn’t present in my previous model. I’m super happy with this purchase and highly recommend it for smoothies, baby purĆ©e, etc.

Best smoothy maker I've ever had

Such a better smoothy maker than our last Ninja, which also had a full-sized blender alongside the smoothy cups. The base of this one is way sleeker and looks quite a bit nicer on our counter. This thing is insanely powerful and makes smoothies way better than any other machine I've ever used. It comes with 24oz smoothy cups - the perfect size imo. Our last machine only supported 16oz smoothy cups and it was a struggle every day, especially when we wanted to add greens. The smoothy mode is great and it's all we've used. It pulses initially, and at the end, to give the ingredients in the cup time to settle before it starts ripping.... Only thing I would consider dinging points on is that it is **very** loud, so heads up on that! Worth it for me though so I'm ...Ā MoreSuch a better smoothy maker than our last Ninja, which also had a full-sized blender alongside the smoothy cups. I will not waste my time and will not be describing all the problems but basicly all of the above issues. I had the same problems. And the customar service pretends to be so good and favorable - after nearly an argument - for sending me a FREE replacement after only 3 months of breaking.I think they even make good money on people paying for the replacements even though it should be free for such bad product, I don’t know what else to think about it.Will never ever buy again, so far the worst experience I’ve ever had. So bad that please ninja company reps don’t even bother sending me a reply: ā€œWe are sorry, please contact us at…to talk more about the issue etc. Waste of my time and that’s how you are trying to cover or look more professional. Great machine
19 November 2021

I was really surprised with the quality of this machine. I doesn't take up to much room. The base has two suction cups so the base does not move during mixing. The blades are good quality with two smaller blades at the top that really helps to mix the frozen food. The power nutri bowl's paddle really help in moving the food around so you don't end up with chunks that won't blend. I will definitely be trying to make hummus with it. My son is looking forward to trying the edible cookie dough recipe that is in the book. It is also good for smoothies. The power of the machine makes quick work of the process. It also comes with a recipe book with some interesting things to try and make. Overall a really good maghine.

Needs pressure release valve
1 June 2023

I don’t know how to rate this product. I am just reviewing this product. It is not my intention to bash Ninja because I believe their products are good and they are attempting to find a solution for my complaint. My main purpose is to warn others to watch for this issue. I was so excited to start using this blender, SS101. It worked great and we were very happy with how it made smoothies, perfectly. BUT, it can be very dangerous. I made a mix that somehow pressurized the cup. The lid was ā€œgluedā€ shut, so I used more force to open it. The blade lid exploded off the cup and the gooey mix was all over my kitchen. Found that stuff all over walls, floor, counter, refrigerator, even clear across the living room! Found that stuff all over walls, floor, counter, refrigerator, even clear across the living room! That blade flew off and landed directly behind me, putting a hole in my tile floor. I am still so freaked out thinking about how I was so close to disfigurement or worse! It flew past my eye/face/head. I called the company and told them what happened. I said they need to add a pressure relief valve. They said the cups should not pressurize and escalated the call. I got a call back yesterday and they wanted me to send the base back, to which I said, ā€œwhat good is that? The blade is damaged from hitting my tile floor and the cup may be damaged with the force of the explosion.ā€ So, the rep said to return the whole product and they would send a replacement but it’s a different blender unit, BN801, which has worse reviews than the one I bought. I’ll call to change the replacement product. I’m terrified to use the smoothie cups, now. I’m just not sure what to do. If you have some trouble opening the cups (blade lid), don’t force it. Put it in a safe place and contact Ninja. Ask them what to do with the cup. Also, if this has also happened to you, please review and contact Ninja!

Smoking base unit!
20 September 2023

Barely had this unit 1 yr. Used 3-4 x a month. Just came back from vaca. Added my almond milk, yogurt, & fruit/ veggies. Turned it on and started smelling an odor in a few minutes. Next I saw smoke coming from back of unit. Immediately shut off and unplugged it. Placed call to their customer service. After several calls as emails they are sending out a new base unit. Hope it last longer than the first one!

Stay away and don't waste your money
20 September 2023

This blender when originally bought it I loved it. However after 2-3 months motor died and off course wouldn't work. returned got new one same story. I called customer service they have tried to sell me new one and wouldn't offer replacement or parts. Waste of money that we don't have. Shame on you. Product quality and warranty have gone to crap! I will never buy another Ninja product again

Very powerful
3 September 2020

I have tried many different types of blenders over the years and I have to say they have come a long way. This Ninja blender makes it so easy to prepare a smoothie or a smoothie bowl with its Auto-iQ programs and its lines that tell you how much liquid and how much fruit to add. It simplifies the whole process. My first smoothie bowl was a huge success. Ready within seconds. All I had to do was add some oat milk and frozen berries. It has a very powerful engine, so it is a little louder than you might expect, but you get used to it after a while. You can use the preset functions or one of the manual programs. I tried making smoothies using both options and they both had great results, with well-blended fruit. It did a great job crushing all the berry seeds, unlike other blenders I've used in the past. And the final product tastes better because smoothies don't require as much liquid as they do with other blenders.I love the size of the cups as they are perfect to make 2 small smoothie glasses. Before starting the blender, make sure to rotate the cup all the way through otherwise the program lights won't come on. While preparing a smoothie bowl you have to continuously rotate the lid counterclockwise, which seemed a bit tricky until I figured out how to do it. This ensures perfect blending. The cups are very easy to clean, but I ran into a bit of an issue with the blade attachment. No matter how good I rinsed it, there was still some smoothie residue left underneath the rubber gasket and there was no way to remove it. I had to run the blade through the dishwasher, but next time I just placed the blade in a bowl of soapy water and let it sit for about 30 minutes and that helped.Very satisfied with the product so far and I haven't encountered any issues. It blends better and faster than other products and it also takes less space on the counter.

What they dont show or tell you
14 March 2023

I like the product and it handles some heavy fruit smoothies BUT what they do not tell you is you must clean the rubber/silicon liner that surrounds the torque blades. If you do not, food accumulates and molds. I have to use a thin knife to get it out and clean around the plastic with a brush to get out the food residue. The product should come with a device to get out the silicone circle so you can clean it without having to use something sharp This is a nice smoothie maker but all smoothie makers have the same issue with the inner seal. I was hoping this one would be different for the price.
