I was gifted this for Christmas by my sister. I don’t think there has been more than two days that goes by without me using it. The grill setting is my favorite. We live in an apartment and are not allowed to have grills on our patios so this has been such a godsend for us. I love that it’s a healthier way of eating with the air frying setting vs actually deep frying foods . We love our ninja so much we ended up buying my elderly mom one for her birthday and now she’s an addict as well. We are big fans.

This 5 in 1 foodi is exactly what I have been looking for, it has replaced 3 of my other kitchen appliances. Who doesn't want to combine and use less space with one appliance?! Let me tell you this foodi is beautiful looking and adds a nice touch to my kitchen and it works great! The basket, grill, and grease splatter shield piece are all dishwasher safe and easy to clean. The foodi comes with a black grill brush to clean and to scrub the grill grate with and it works fantastic, I am hoping that when it gets worn out I am able to replace that brush in the future. It is very easy to push the buttons and set the settings that one needs for the food they are cooking, it is pretty self explanatory no confusion for me. We cannot wait to buy the griddle, dehydrator pieces, and vegetable tray so we ca continue to use this product for many other food items as well. Be careful to read the paper and instructions on what kind of oil to use, as you do not want to use olive oil because it will burn and smoke. Overall this appliance is great for many different meat items, as well as vegetables, and full meals for a small family or bigger family with a couple batches to cook, we love it! The food turns out great each time as long as the instructions are followed. The grates, basket, and splatter shield washed up great in the dishwasher with no effort at all or damage to the products.

There are a million air fryer combos out there, but this one is nothing short of fantastic. On top of that, the customer service at Ninja is amazing! After 2+ years of daily(sometimes more than once a day) use, ours had an issue where the fan wouldn’t shut off upon opening and then the timer wouldn’t run. First issue ever. We called and they walked us through the problem and are sending a new one. Just had to pay shipping. $24. Not a problem. Totally worth it. They were courteous and helpful. I will definitely be buying another one down the line. Ninja products are fantastic!

I can't express how impressed I am with this particular product! It has taken over my kitchen as THE go-to appliance. When I unboxed the grill, I was skeptical of its claims, so the first thing I did was pull out some frozen italian sausage links from the freezer (something that we generally take out to thaw a day ahead and butterfly cut to cook on our Griddler for at least 45 minutes). I tossed them in the Ninja still frozen together. Less than 20 minutes later we were eating those fully-cooked, perfectly char-grilled sausages. The only problem I have with it at this point is not finding muffin pans to fit it, though I've made some drop biscuits using the "Air Crisp" function that were PERFECTLY DONE (though a bit misshapen) in minutes. This is really an excellent product and I recommend it to everyone. Oh, by the way, it only smokes if you use a low smoke point oil OR if you get oil/fat/grease on the heating element, so clean your grease filter and it only takes a quick wipe to effectively clean the unit, but there is a learning curve to see where exactly your grease/oil/fat tends to splatter. Once you figure that out, cleaning takes seconds.
I was a little bit torn about this product, I just wanted a good Air Fryer. And the price of this one is a little bit high, but after reading reviews, I decided to buy it, and I definitely don't regret it.The Air Fryer itself works great, no different than most fryers, but with a lot more space. Also the basket is very easy to clean. And now why I'm so happy with my decision to buy it.. The grill!! I never thought I would use it that much, but my Beyond Burgers taste as good as on the Outdoor Griddle!!!I haven't tried a lot of other stuff, but if it can do burgers this perfectly, I'm pretty sure it can do everything else also pretty good.Very happy customer!!
I bought this 4 months ago for Black Friday. We only have 5 of us left in the house and for the most part it's large enough for us. You will quickly realize, especially on fries it has hot spots. Mostly on the sides so definitely toss. We have made fried chicken, fried fish, french fries, grilled chicken and steak, roasted loins, etc. Nothing has turned out badly. The steak is pretty darn good. The fried fish and chicken isn't the same as deep drying but not terribly off and much healthier. We use this several times per week so it gets a lot of use. The bad. I know it's only one thing but for it's price I expect it to last longer than it likely will before everything sticks. The finish is coming off in the air fry tray and drip pan. This does cook most things well but you do have to watch and rearrange. It would be a 5 star if the coating didn't look so bad already.
The Air fry feature worked wonderfully on frozen steak fries! Crispy on the outside, tender potato on the inside. I have only grilled steaks so far (the ultimate test for me) and they came out fantastic! Any doubts I had regarding the searing on the outside of the steaks are gone! I would recommend watching videos on YouTube regarding tips for achieving the best results from those who already own this product. It's all good! I'm very pleased with my purchase, have purchased another one to send to a relative for Christmas and would highly recommend this Ninja Grill/Air Fryer to anyone who is considering making the purchase!

Ninja is great, they're always "improving" their units... there are two more of their indoor grills that have come out since. For me, this one rocks. The size is nice and compact, the cooking "bin" is very deep, the grill part has nice weight to it and works amazingly well. I actually bought a back up because I was afraid that the company would discontinue it since coming out with two newer grills, but thank goodness, you can still buy one. I ended up gifting my extra unit because my OG grill shows no sign of slowing down..... I have a lonely gas stove which came with my house and which I have never hooked up, but use as a surface to use my electric appliances. I love new ideas. So, when tuned to the Food Channel looking to see if Guy's grocery Games had any new episodes last Sunday morning, I saw this device. I love grilled food, but am not too good determining how much coal and how much time to cook items to perfection. I also live in Phoenix, where it's often too hot to cook outside. It was an easy matter for the call center lady to get me to upgrade to the model with the smart probe plus accessories. I knew that it would be my birthday gift to myself. I was sure enough that I would like it that I asked to pay for it outright rather than in installments. It arrived within a few days, right before my birthday, and I got some hamburgers and buns and took it for a test drive. First, I grilled some bone-in chicken thighs, and the time necessary was longer than expected. 10 minutes per side on medium wasn't quite enough. 5 more minutes per side and it was a crispy golden brown on the skin and tender tasty juicy on the inside. The taste was great, and my cats crowded me for bits, and they loved it too. Then I made 2 burgers and toasted the buns. The flavor was amazing. 5 minutes per side on high was enough for a thick patty. It was a tad pink inside, but that didn't matter when I found out how good it tasted. In both projects, I used very few seasonings, with a dry onion soup mix being the only addition to the beef patties, and butter flavored canola oil for the chicken. As for smoke, it didn't make visible smoke, but the kitchen did have a little haze that I could see in the right lighting, but it didn't set off my smoke alarm. The cooking took place in the middle of the room on a work table, and i think it would be better for the device to be placed under my stove chimney in the future. One video I saw on YouTube indicated that the grill is a 1700 Watt device, so I think it would be best to run it alone on a circuit at any given time. Cleaning up was very easy. I did it right away rather than waiting. So, to sum up, I like it very much and have only begun to enjoy all that it can do. Maybe what's best is that now I can grill with little to no mess, but have one device to make the sides as well.
First of all, kudos to the smart probe. it is totally changed the way how I cook. you really dont need to check it frequently. you just follow the sound instruciton. everything becomes much easier. I dont like the newer models Foodi smart XL 6 in 1 or even the 7 in 1 because the pan is not as deep as this original model. I can roast a whole chichken with no problems. love it. highly recommend it.
