I have found the ninja foodi max 9 in 1 to be one of the best pieces of kitchen equipment I have ever purchased. I thought long and hard before I chose this over a straightforward air fryer. I’m pleased that I opted for a foodi max. I now regularly make fantastic yoghurt in it, pressure cook eg dried beans quickly thereby saves a fortune on tinned ones! Of course the air fryer function is just fantastic and so much quicker and more importantly healthier with less oil used an added bonus is its easier to clean than fat splatters in an oven or hob. I ordered direct from ninja and was glad I did as there was on first attempted use a problem with the pressure valve for the pressure cooker lid. The valve is designed to be loose so initially I wasn’t concerned however the really helpful instructions sent with the foodi describe how to test the pressure cooker without actually cooking anything. As there was a definite fault I rang ninja customer services and spoke to a very helpful member of the ninja team who was able to turn the phone call into a video call. As soon as she saw the problem she organised a replacement immediately. Once this arrived I contacted ninja customer services again and another equally helpful member of the team organised collection of the faulty foodi at a date convenient to myself. Top notch product sold, by ninja directly through their website with top notch after sales service and care which in my book well deserves 5 stars

I love my Ninja products and this is no exception. I have been using it for a few months and everything works perfectly. A real time saver, cost effective and very easy to clean. It stills looks as good as new. It is far superior to the Pressure King Pro that was all the rage a few years ago. This is an easy to operate, trouble-free appliance with all of the attention to detail and quality that you would expect from Ninja. The recipe book is inspirational and beautifully illustrated. It is however quite a heavy appliance as it weighs 24lbs/10.88 kgs and you will need a width of 20"/50cm on which to sit the appliance. I bought this as I wanted to make soups and casseroles and I wanted a ceramic pot. It is massive so it takes a lot of veg to basically fill it and then it takes most of the day to make the soup... Hob would have been quicker so I never used it to make soup again. Having said that it is used every day as an air fryer. It is big enough to take a smaller pizza and great for cooking oven chips in in bulk. You do have to take oven gloves to it to lift out pot and shake up the food. It's easy to wash out in the sink or just wipe out with kitchen roll. I personally put in wings in tin foil and they come out lovely and crispy. The downside is that whatever is at the back of the pot cooks faster than the rest so shaking up is important (or rearranging). 6 months in and mine ... MoreI bought this as I wanted to make soups and casseroles and I wanted a ceramic pot. A quick knock usually sorts it out but it happens most times. On the whole it's a good job if you have a big family and want to make stews, soups but I wouldn't buy again as it is too big for fishfingers alone. Cooks well though but a smaller cheaper airfryer would have done for my family.

Just bought this as everyone I know keeps banging on about how good they are, not sure I believed that but it seems I was wrong. It's simple to use (if you can work a microwave you can work this) and will do nearly everything you want it to. Makes fantastic toasted sandwiches, chips, roasts, steams everything and is quick. Would recommend it to anyone who likes an easy life. Don't confuse this with a microwave, it cooks nothing like one. You prepare your food in exactly the same way you would if you were using a stove, you just cook it using a more efficient device and the food tastes exactly the same if not better. Note: This is NOT the same as the air dryer versions, it does a lot more like baking and slow cooking as well although I haven't tried these functions ... MoreJust bought this as everyone I know keeps banging on about how good they are, not sure I believed that but it seems I was wrong. I purchased 6 months ago. I used air fryer, bake, sear and slow cook with no issues. I would recommend anyone to upgrade to another model to have only 1 lid. Having to store and mind an additional lid is annoying especially if you do not have a large kitchen. The pressure cooking function always had an error showing up and I tried many times thinking I had not put the pot in correctly. I followed Ninja troubleshooting online and completed 2 forms however never heard anything back. I then called and they offered a replacement bit it took almost 5/6 phonecalls to arrange collection as they kept putting the incorrect address or details. I asked to change to another model and pay extra but they insisted I take the same product. I would not purchase this based on ... MoreI purchased 6 months ago. For such an expensive item and brand, I would not recommend as I have had nothing but headaches and I am not looking forward to getting the replacement. I feel that Ninja do everything to make the customer experience more difficult to ensure you don't come back with issues. If people ask to pay more money for another model I can't see the problem. I purchased at full price 249.99 which is now on black Friday sale for 198, assuming they are not out any money if I changed to a different model and can't see the issue as it was a genuine fault of the product and not a simple change of mind.
If you are on the fence, my advice is get it! I dithered for a long time as I really didn’t like the smell that comes from air fryers. My husband mentioned he would like a pressure cooker and I thought ok, let’s try it. We have made amazing stew in 25 minutes, made chicken curry all in the one pot with frying the onions, sealing the chicken then switching the function to slow cooker, amazing crisping with pastry and potato products. There is a slight smell when using the air frying function but not bad at all. It’s so easy to clean too, I wipe it with a piece of kitchen towel after every use to catch any oil. I have less pots etc to clean. Not used the bake function yet, but looking forward to it.
I love using the foodi max, very well designed etc but not reliable after spending so much money. First problem started probably a year ago where the foodi kept going off even though it had food cooking in there, over time the bowl had curved up and wasn't pressing the round pressure plate in the centre. I managed to sort that out. Recently while using the foodi, the electricity mains would trip. First I thought it might be overload or some other appliance. After a few times I've realised it's the ninja that's tripping the electrics. I showed it to an electrician incase there's fault with wiring, it's the ninja that is causing a short circuit somewhere inside. Now I'll have to buy another multicooker as this one is not safe to use anymore.
I bought the largest ninja as you can cook less in the 7.5 litre as well as loads, I often batch cook, so bigger for me is better. It's only a couple of inches taller than the smaller one. Also being able to layer cook in the one pot is very handy for me as it's just 2 of us, so idea for a full meal of meat, veg and spuds. Love the pressure cooker, nothing like the old ones that would hiss and splutter at you to the point you wondered if it was going to blow up. It's a tiny hiss until it comes up to pressure, then silence, apart from the faint sound of liquid bubbling in the pot. First time I used it I thought it was broke because of the lack of hissing. The quick pressure release is easy, but I use the handle of a wooden spoon and go under the handle from the front ... MoreI bought the largest ninja as you can cook less in the 7.5 litre as well as loads, I often batch cook, so bigger for me is better. The quick pressure release is easy, but I use the handle of a wooden spoon and go under the handle from the front to the back, as one time it spat hot water at my hand when trying to open it after part natural release. I have used bake and air crisp also. Both worked well. I'm going to try the yogurt setting tonight as I make my own yogurt. The negative bits, apart from the huge footprint, within 3 DAYS of getting it and 3 USES, using NO metal utensils, ONLY silicon, and used with great care, (it too expensive to treat it any other way) and also using the trivit rack that came with it for layering foods, the non stick on the bowl is scratched in the bottom where the legs sit, so I put it down to the trivet. Do yourself a favour, get an oven safe silicon mat to sit in the bottom. I really don't understand why they don't make these with stainless steel bowls. They are much easier to clean and you don't have to worry about scratching non stick surfaces. Come on Shark, Please make a replacement stainless steel bowl we can buy. I think it's going to be difficult to clean where the top element is as the spaces under the element grid cover is tiny. I also wish the bread Pans and other accessories were in stock more often. I'm not keen on round bread
I bought this to reduce the use of my big oven. It’s slightly scary at first if you’ve never used a pressure cooker, but once you start to use it you realise his quick and easy it is to use. It has two lids, one for pressure cooking and the other for roasting/airfrying and for something like potato wedges you would pressure cook the potatoes for 5 mins and then air fry for 15 mins, so you do have to be on hand to swap the lids. I have cooked wedges, mash, home made pies, steamed veg, bacon, salmon, chicken nuggets, everything has been really nicely cooked and quickly cooked as well. I honestly haven’t used my main oven or even the hob since getting this, you can honestly cook everything in it. I would choose this over an air fryer as it’s so much more versatile. ... MoreI bought this to reduce the use of my big oven. I've always used a halogen,in many ways it's the same.I use a hob pressure cooker. Ninja pressure cooker is slow to get to temperature,on the other hand, you don't have to watch it,to lower the temperature. Certain things will be good to PC,others not. Potatoes can't be mashed properly,as you may scratch the bowl, for example.Cooks chips, roast potatoes, whole chicken really well. Has potential, but smaller than a halogen. The slow cook feature,I haven't tried,as I have my trusty crock pot,and want room to cook other fast cook things,at the same time as slow cook. On reflection,is it a good buy?Not really. For certain things,it's great, just not as big as what I hoped. Had to buy new round trays,as it's smaller width than halogen trays
