We initially bought this Nintendo Switch for our kids because they love to watch Mario Party MiniGames on Youtube. Best Controllers

We've had our Switch for 2 years now and the original set of controllers lasted until now. Luckily I had a Target circle offer and purchased a new set for 30% off. Nintendo offers a free joycon repair program and costs you absolutely nothing. So they will be fixing our other set which is fantastic. Any other gaming console you have to keep buying new controllers when they fail and they offer no repair programs. For how much our controllers get used and they are shaken around a lot from active games, I'm surprised they lasted 2 years. I love that they're slim and lightweight so your hand doesn't hurt from holding them. Besides buttons slowly stopping to work after 2 years of everyday use, I'm very satisfied with them!

Great controller for a great price will definitely be buying more of these as the months go on. Hopefully from the same seller?

This is one of my favorite controllers of ALL time. I have been playing my Switch for what seems like days and I barely ever have to charge this thing. It connects very easily once juiced up. I am absolutely buying more of these for party games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate so all my friends can come over and we battle it out using these amazing controllers. Thank you, seller, you've brought a ton of joy into my life, ALSO thank you Nintendo for creating such a beautiful controller.

Great to have a spare set

They're joy-con. Love 'em or hate 'em, they're exactly as advertised. It could be my imagination, or maybe the fact that I played with my original ones for hundreds of hours before getting a second set, but these seem to be even more well-made and slightly more hefty than the ones that came with my Switch. I don't know if there have been any hardware changes to the Joy-con since I bought my Switch last March, and it very well could just be in my head, but they feel nice and it's great to have an extra pair around when I have friends over to play ARMS. It's really nice to be able to keep a pair connected to the Switch and have another pair to use when in docked mode, since some games feel really nice with the joy-con rather than the pro controller, and I can still just pull my Switch out of its dock with the other pair already attached. It's a great way to keep all four charged too, since they charge on the Switch in its dock as well as on the separate base.

Joycons are inherently bad

I love the colors. If you want to play any of the fun multiplayer and nintendo exclusive games, get the joycons. If you would rather have a better experience on any solo/first person game I recommend the holi-split pad (same price? And turbo mode). Joy cons make my forearms ache. If you have stressed and strained wrists from work, dont get joycons for single player handheld gaming. They also have less game hours on average in their life span than any main console controllers on the market (hundreds vs thousands).

NOT an Official Nintendo Branded Joy-Con!

Very disappointed that we received a GENERIC BRAND Joy-Con and NOT the official Nintendo brand controller that was shown in the pictures on this listing.At $56, this is a very good price for an official controller but quite expensive for an off-brand device.We presume the controller works as well as any generic joy-con controller, but for the price paid, there are cheaper options that do the same thing.We are retuning this item as we wanted the extra features (new Motion Control Update) only available on the Nintendo brand controllers, which are required for things like Nintendo Switch Sports.If the seller ends up sending us the correct controller, we will update our review and add a few more stars.

Not authentic - do not buy

DO NOT BUY THIS LISTING. I ordered these without reading the revirws, and I'm sorry I did. As many others stated, they are definitely not authentic. It even says it on the box, " this product is not designed, manufactured, approved, sponsored or endorsed by Nintendo." Check out my pictures. I have reported the seller to customer service and will return these, hopefully they can give these guys the boot. It's not cool to list an item as authentic when you're really selling a 3rd party brand. Who knows, they Maybe great controllers, but it's not what I wanted to buy, and that's frustrating.

These Joycons are KNOCKOFFS.

The Joycons are KNOCKOFFS. No etching on the bottom of the controller. I ordered them and didnt realize it until i bought Switch Sports and was prompted to update all my controllers. These controllers will NOT update like my LEGITIMATE controllers did. I ended up figuring this out after researching it online. True Nintendo Joycons have all printing on the back of each Joycon. Dont be fooled like i was. I spent $80 for knockoffs packeged up in legatimate looking packaging. I'm now looking into recourse action with walmart to fix this counterfeit company using their platform.

I was immediately suspicious when they arrived because they were not in a Nintendo box. Very similar looking but nowhere on the packaging does it actually say Nintendo Switch or Joy-Con. At first glance, they look almost exactly like the real deal but just picking them up and pushing a few of the buttons quickly gives them away. They are much lighter, the buttons and joysticks are pretty rough, and they just feel cheap in your hands. I would give these zero stars if I could. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated. These controllers are trash that are nowhere near the quality expected from Nintendo. I will be returning these and purchasing replacements from another retailer since apparently, Walmart is so desperate to become the new Amazon they don't properly vet what is being sold on their website.

You need em but they should do better

These joysticks start getting drift and becoming non responsive way faster than any other controllers I’ve had from different consoles. Playing crash bandicoot is difficult because I don’t feel they are as sensitive as PS4 controllers. For the price point, it seems like we are getting ripped off here. The only good thing is that you can send them in for repair which Nintendo does very quickly in my opinion.I like that they offer some fun colors in these and that they are very easy to use. I do wish they made bigger ones. I’m pretty small (5’2) and sometimes my hands cramp up I’ve I’m playing animal crossing for too many hours. Overall, I’ve owned a switch for almost 5 years and I’ve gone through 3 pairs and had them repaired through Nintendo.
