Fantastic step forward to the Kirby Franchise

This game is definitely a much needed step forward for the Kirby Franchise. I have played Kirby games ever since the 1992 Kirby's Dreamland on Gameboy, and finally I get to see our pink puff ball get his adventure in 3D, officially! (Yes there was 3D Rumble, but that was mini-game like, IMO)This is very enjoyable especially with a 2nd player as Bandana Waddle. The graphics are colorful, vibrant, and some parts are breath taking, like several entrances to stages. The reason I am marking this game 4 out of 5, is a couple of negatives. First off, no online play, so you can't co-op with someone/a friend online. Second, while Bandana Waddle Dee is great as a 2nd player, its a bummer that they didn't include a few more options for Player 2 to choose from. Second, while Bandana Waddle Dee is great as a 2nd player, its a bummer that they didn't include a few more options for Player 2 to choose from. Player 2 will always be locked to "Spear" Ability for the game's entirety. Kirby has a collection of different movesets, and can upgrade them even more powerful movesets. So that's why, Waddle Dee only for Player 2 is not my most favorite. If fan favorites like Meta Knight, or King Dedede also became playable, like say you unlock them, that could help bring at least some variety for P2. Just look at the variety of playable characters in Kirby Star Allies, that game was fan service central with ALL of the characters that were playable. Now in a graphical sense...it is sad that such a jump forward for Kirby is capped at 30 frames per second. Because games like Kirby RtDL, Kirby Triple Deluxe & Kirby Planet Robobot were all Kirby adventures that ran at a smooth 60 FPS. So its a bit jarring that 30 fps is the standard for both Kirby adventures on Switch.I did enjoy the inclusion of Amiibos. (I am a big Kirby fan, can you tell by my attached picture ;) ) Its nothing ground breaking, but every level, you can scan the same amiibo once per level. I liked how they gave you bonuses based on the character. Like for Example, scanning Kirby gives a Life Up to increase your max health temporarily, scanning King Dedede gives you a Attack Up for 200 seconds (Very useful against bosses giving you a hard time), and these items you can keep in your inventory as you adventure so you can keep a hold of it and use it when you want.In conclusion, this is a fantastic game, and you and a friend will have a good time exploring and finding the cleverly hidden secrets!

The post apocalyptic levels shown at first are just the tip of the ice Berg. You have multiple places you get to explore, and upgradeable power up to wrench havoc in those places. Now the bad (for some, since I play every single player.) The multiplayer seems like an after thought. You're able to play all levels with 2 players, but 2nd player is forced to play using a waddle dee with a spear. So no copying abilities.

since the original Kirby's Dream Land on the Game Boy (yes, I'm that old), played several of the titles since, and I think this was the best one yet. It's a little more mature and better suited for an adult who just wants to play a fun, light game, but still presents a challenge.I played it all the way through to 100% completion on the harder mode. In order to get that 100%, you have to do some pretty challenging tasks, like defeat every boss without taking any damage, including the final boss, serve food at the snack shop in town to angry, impatient customers (much harder than you'd think a side mini game should be), catch a giant fish, and go through the hardest setting in the battle arena. a great game and kirbys first 3d game at that. It goes in all the right directions so it's hard to point out anything wrong with the game. the only way it seems it can go from here is up, hopefully a sequal or DLC will improve upon this great franchse. there was some glitches like one of the mid-bosses not takeing reduced damage when it spawned and could be defeated before spawning. plus the arena online times are a bit that way due to no rules, unlike star allies which allowed you to have separate times for powers without being able to change abilities mid run. on another note I would like to see other ways to get rare stones in the game as it gets boring farming the arena for them. they have an English theme for Super Kirby Clash but not for this game? A good game is when you’re unable to drop it, and Kirby the Forgotten Land is definitely one of them. Kirby the Forgotten Land is based on a powerful puffball, exploring a mysterious unexplored world from structures of a past civilization. While exploring, you can copy enemies abilities or play with a friend in co-op play. The Enjoyment is immeasurable The gameplay - It’s relaxing, you don’t really need to worry about the enemies around you. It's more of discovering the secrets around the world, which is rare in most games in the industry. The enjoyment - as you play the game, you save fictional creatures called waddle dees, and meet a new companion. Mini games such as baking, and playing with friends make this world come to life. The graphics are cartoonish, and easy appealing for the eye. The game is absolutely worth it, especially if you're wishing to change up your play style. This game is appealable for all audiences, as its new formula presents a more lax playing style; rather than the more popularized heavy duty games. No needing to repeat the same level again or again, unless you wish to explore a bit more… As even then Kirby offers extra quests to fulfill the consumers' need for more. The unique Style New Formula - It strays off the normal classic game produced by Nintendo with a different art style than others. It is also not a demanding game, as the average consumer could be able to beat it with little to no trial and error. However, there are difficult side quests for those who wish for the challenge. Easy to follow - The gameplay is easy to follow- if you were to drop the game and pursue something else (which is highly unlikely, due to the addictive nature of the game) you could easily catch up to what you were doing before. This intriguing game pleasantly has its own unique style, which is beguile yet captivating. You’ll get trapped in exploring the game for all its little easter eggs, making fascinating enemies to defeat to save the waddle dees. The twist is that it is open world, and you are not binded to a specific path throughout a level. Go wherever, and still have something in store for you. Fear not, as if you drop the game and manage to forget what it entailed, you can easily pick it up and learn in the first 2 minutes. You may be thinking, “The price isn’t worth it” But, if you’ve ever bought another Nintendo game, you’ll be proven wrong. If you’re in an area near a gamestop, or go on their website, they give full refunds if you recently bought a game. And, if you prove to them that you’ve bought another game, and are a recurring consumer, you may get up to 25% off! Or, you could trade another game that you disliked for Kirby, the forgotten land! Comparing Kirby, the forgotten land to other expensive titles (60 dollars), the deal isn’t too bad for a game who won't let you drop it. In conclusion, if you want to grab a game and relax, consider snatching Kirby, The Forgotten land for its immeasurable enjoyment and its unique style.

It's like Kirby meets Nier Automata haha.Still highly recommended and this is a solid game that would benefit from a Switch Pro if they ever release one, one day.

There are 6 worlds and 6 stages with the 6th one being a boss fight. Like many Kirby games, Kirby jumps, floats, and suck up enemies and objects to acquire a copy ability to use against tough enemies along the way, unlike Kirby’s 2D counterparts, Forgotten Lands is now in a 3D perspective which you can fully control Kirby anywhere you want. While finding Waddle Dees, you will find star coins and objects that require as missions, whether to find 5 tulips, find a secret room or not to get hurt once. Another big feature in Forgotten Lands is Mouthful Mode. Similar to the copy abilities, Kirby can suck up big objects that gives him new modes such as a car, a lightbulb and so forth which helps Kirby progress through the level.PresentationWaddle Dees are not the only things to find, there are many special items to collect such as star coins, scrolls for a ability to upgrade and missions to complete. If you manage to rescue a lot of Waddle Dees, The Waddle Dees will build a small village as Kirby’s hub world filled with extra mini games such as fishing, lunch serving, tilting maze and arena. You can also use star coins to purchase health power ups, copy ability power ups and capsule toys. Find more Waddle Dees, and the village will grow more with new areas to explore.Once you complete a stage in a world, you will find a crakes portal that gives you a challenge on the required ability, complete the training under a certain time limit, and Kirby gets a great Star. Getting enough of them will allow Kirby to upgrade the copy abilities to be more powerful that will be easier to defeat tough bosses. You also have an option to choose two difficulty modes. Spring Breeze Mode is easy mode if you want play the game for fun. And Wild Mode is normal/hard mode which give you 10 star coins after completing a stage. Whichever difficulty you play the game on, you will still have the same fun experience.OverallForgotten Lands is a terrific Kirby game that brings in new ideas for the pink puffball. Like Super Mario 3D World and other open world style platformers, Kirby and The Forgotten Lands is a brand new experience to the series that can give HAL Laboratory new gameplay ideas for Kirby to do. Get sucked right in and enjoy the new Forgotten Land!9 out of 10

The stages are absolutely GORGEOUS!!!My favourites so far are the tropical levels.Kirby wearing a floatation device while swimming in the water is ADORABLE.The gameplay ramps up as you progress in the game. However, I don't think it will ever become super duper challenging, since it is a Kirby game, but we shall see.The levels are pretty easy to beat, but I end up playing them multiple times in a row in order to achieve all of the missions listed for that level. The Kirby Lunch Rush Mini Game is INSANELY difficult on Frenzy mode, but beatable.I get motion sickness when playing 3D games, so I can't play this game on the TV, but in handheld mode it is fine. I can play for hours in handheld mode without any issue.10/10 highly recommend if you are fan of Kirby ... MoreThe stages are absolutely GORGEOUS!!!My favourites so far are the tropical levels.Kirby wearing a floatation device while swimming in the water is ADORABLE.The gameplay ramps up as you progress in the game.
