The mark of a truly good seller is post-sales customer service. Game Extreme has NONE with terrible customer service! I purchased a neon-colored Nintendo Switch but instead received a white model, having been informed that the neon version was out of stock. I asked for a swap when the neon version becomes available but was told ‘no’. Just a week later, I see that the neon version is available. Another call was made to do a swap and was just told to refund the item. As the item was purchased during the 6.6 sale, I would have to give up the discount voucher which I was unwilling to do. In summary, the error was from Game Extreme through no fault of mine. Shouldn’t Game Extreme deliver the correct item and do the swap without all this trouble? Package is unopened and ... MoreThe mark of a truly good seller is post-sales customer service. Game Extreme has NONE with terrible customer service! Bought this as a discounted item - with the understanding that that can mean scratches, blemishes etc.At first I had thought there was a chip in the screen, which was not ideal - a bash on the casing is one thing, but a dark chip mark on the screen doesn't do it for me I'm afraid! At this stage I did contact CEX customer support and they advised me that whilst that does fall within the "discounted" category I was still able to exercise my returns rights and bring it back to any store for a full refund. Cannot fault the customer service at CEX really! However on further inspection - resulting in me feeling rather silly - it turned out the previous owner had installed a screen protector on the Switch (Badly) and the chip was nothing more than an air bubble. One ... MoreBought this as a discounted item - with the understanding that that can mean scratches, blemishes etc.At first I had thought there was a chip in the screen, which was not ideal - a bash on the casing is one thing, but a dark chip mark on the screen doesn't do it for me I'm afraid! At this stage I did contact CEX customer support and they advised me that whilst that does fall within the "discounted" category I was still able to exercise my returns rights and bring it back to any store for a full refund. As it happened I've ended up with a matching set of the Zelda Skyward Sword Joycons which look great.Overall a great purchase and an excellent price.

ANYONE posting a review saying they were falsely advertised and got a Japanese version should honestly never write a review for a product again. id rather have a Japanese model because wouldnt you know thats where Nintendo is based out of. The console is not region locked and when you power it on it is in english. Japan and US use same chord. if you are trying to read instructions that came with a console maybe try using this thing called the Internet you can literally pull up the manual. and honestly if you need a manual to set up a gaming console you probably shouldnt be using one. It literally walks you through it. for less than $300 you arent getting any games. thats still way cheaper than retail. stop being cheap and crying and blaming the seller because you ... MoreANYONE posting a review saying they were falsely advertised and got a Japanese version should honestly never write a review for a product again. id rather have a Japanese model because wouldnt you know thats where Nintendo is based out of. OK so I got the oled switch pretty quick, but when I opened it, I could immediately see multiple scratches on the glass oled screen. Some were not terrible but a couple had gouged right in to the glass leaving a white scratch. In my opinion, this should have been sold as discounted, not unboxed because of this alone! The rear of the unit was also quite scuffed and scratched and the joy cons were in equally bad condition in my opinion. All this could perhaps be acceptable as discounted, but as unboxed, I was not happy. All of the above is quite irrelevant though, as my 1 star rating is due to the fact that there was still somebodies games and account, WITH PARENTAL LOCK, active on the system, so I couldn't even restore to factory settings without that code! I could almost accept the cex policy of "some level of scratches are acceptable on an unboxed item," only for the fact that obviously somebody didn't actually check 1) the status of the device and parental lock, and 2) the condition, before registering it as unboxed, when it was traded in, nor when it was being posted out! Returned immediately and got refund, so I still highly regard cex in general, but as a review of the product I received? Very poor!
The Nintendo Switch OLED is a major step up from the original model, offering a more immersive handheld gaming experience. The 7-inch OLED display delivers vibrant colors and deeper contrasts, making games look stunning, whether you’re playing in handheld mode or tabletop mode. The larger screen makes everything feel more spacious, enhancing both gameplay and visual appeal.Performance-wise, the Switch OLED doesn’t deviate much from the original, but the improved display, better audio, and enhanced build quality make it a much more enjoyable experience overall. The sound is noticeably better, whether you’re playing in handheld mode or with the console docked. The upgraded kickstand is also a welcome addition, providing more stability for tabletop gaming ... MoreThe Nintendo Switch OLED is a major step up from the original model, offering a more immersive handheld gaming experience. The upgraded kickstand is also a welcome addition, providing more stability for tabletop gaming sessions.Battery life is similar to the original model, lasting around 4.5 to 9 hours depending on the game, which is solid for a portable console. The system also remains incredibly versatile, allowing you to easily transition between handheld, tabletop, and docked play without missing a beat. The added bonuses make this a good value purchase compared to all the other Nintendo prices and products.
I had an absolutely amazing shopping experience at Best Buy! I went in to purchase a Nintendo console, and from start to finish, the entire process was seamless and enjoyable. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, answering all my questions with patience and enthusiasm. What stood out to me the most was how they made sure I was getting the right product for my needs, explaining the features and even recommending some great accessories to enhance my gaming experience. The store was well-organized, and it was easy to find what I was looking for.I also appreciated the fast checkout process and the care they took in packaging my purchase to ensure it was protected. I originally purchased my Switch OLED from a different retailer in January. I have loved it and have hundreds of hours on it thus far in different games. My partner has also expressed interest in the Switch, but our game tastes are extremely different. About a month and a half ago, he asked if he could download a game onto mine and I agreed!Since then, he's been raving about how wonderful the Switch is, from the portability to take it with us in our busy lives to being able to charge it with our phone chargers (we're both PC gamers with very nice rigs, but obviously, PCs aren't portable). For an early Christmas present, I decided to buy him his own Switch and opted to go with this one because our date nights are frequently Mario Kart on my Switch. For an early Christmas present, I decided to buy him his own Switch and opted to go with this one because our date nights are frequently Mario Kart on my Switch. I couldn't wait to give it to him, so I gave him his about a week ago.Since then, we're both loving our Switches even more! His was a phenomenal value--I bought mine for $349.99 and then had to buy Mario Kart separately. To get both for $350 was a no-brainer. The OLED's colors, contrast, and clarity can't be compared or competed with by the original or the lite, especially if handheld is your primary/only way of playing on your Switch! Definitely recommend. One of my/our small complaint is that this bundle for the OLED only has the white Joy Cons/Dock (mine is white and we originally had planned to get him the Red/Blue Joy Cons to distinguish our docks easier, even though they're fully compatible lol). Other than that, it's perfect! Battery lives are amazing on both of our Switches and I'd happily buy this bundle again for a loved one/myself, if I ever needed to.A bit of a larger complaint is that we immediately had to buy an SD card (we went with a 512gb option) to go along with it because within 3 digital downloads, the storage capacity was essentially out (though, granted, two of the games he chose to download are chunkier games in terms of storage requirements). But truthfully, as PC gamers, we knew we'd have to get him an upgraded SD card, so we really aren't that upset about it. With the game selection, portability, charge capacity, performance, and comfort, we would buy again if we ever needed to, and we'd buy the SD cards again.
Not sure how this is getting such high ratings I had watched for about 2 months for a sale and got it on a Black Friday deal yesterday and this thing is a total piece of crap. The graphics are so bad it's not even something that seems like it should have been made in the last 15 years.. I had no idea this is really not to be played on a big screen 4K TV until I got home with it. The lines are so blurry the three games I have are basically the games I have on the Wii from 15 years ago with the ability to hook up through to HDMI is about the only difference. The free Mario kart you get with the bundle isn't even the full game and the free subscription you get you can only do very little with without upgrading to the $60 your subscription. The free Mario kart you get with the bundle isn't even the full game and the free subscription you get you can only do very little with without upgrading to the $60 your subscription. What I demo this thing I figured it was just a TV they had it on which was a cheapo that probably had been left on for the last 6 months but no it's the player is that bad when you put it on TV mode. It took almost 4 hours to download the Mario kart that came with it and two other games that weren't even anything special. Like a total of 5 gigs. I have some of the fastest internet you can get so there's no way it should have taken this long in the eStore takes forever to load just to buy the games and see what they have.. whatever reviews you've read before this they are lying this thing sucks I am most definitely taking it back even with the big sale that I got it on. How is it stayed on the market and sold anything I have no idea and by the way if you want to look good on a 4K TV you're supposed to buy an HDMI 4K upscaler for around $100 just to make it look like something made in the 2015 time frame. I am stuck with accessories I bought since I bought them piece by piece but hopefully the new switch to the supposedly coming out in March will be better than this but who knows and it only comes with one controller for a family game player?
