Recently, i got delivered my pro controller. It looked great when i unboxed it, but after a while of usage i started to notice a couple of things. The controller looks and feels well don't get me wrong but i noticed white chipping slowly coming out of the joysticks, then i checked the back panel of the controller, the Nintendo logo was off. It looked different than the actual Nintendo logo. Afterwards i checked the box, it doesn't show the Nintendo quality of seal which to me is very strange, it should have it. Looks can be deceiving, and for sure the controller did deceive me for a bit but i soon figured out it was a fake. I can't check if it has amiibo functionality since I don't own any amiibo myself. Purchased Nov 30th, 2022.This review isn’t for the Nintendo product itself, but the retailers that Walmart uses to fulfill the order. I purchased from two retailers Cocatos and KosasK which were both shipped using Chinese shipping companies. I believe that the products shipped were fake. You can tell because the spacing on the words used on the box were spaced differently than authentic box. Also the image quality was a little blurred. The controller looks and acts identical to the actual controller. Even has the Nintendo labeling but I don’t trust that these are genuine Nintendo products from these marketplace sellers. Buyer Beware.
Seems some people who have more recently bought this item say it's real, but when I ordered this in March of 2022, I thought it was too good to be true. And I was right. When it came and I went to use it, I noticed it didn't quite feel right. Upon doing some research and opening it up, there were some clear signs it was fake. Like the battery contacts being completely different from an official one and there being no HD rumble, just on or off which was very off putting. While I was given a full refund and told I could keep the controller, I still feel the need to let others know. It worked fine as a controller for a while, but started drifting as all controllers nowadays seem to. Walmart allowing sellers to sell fake limited edition controllers should be investigated.

Really hope Nintendo makes this controller compatible with whatever their next thing will be, I'd hate to sunset this controller whenever upgrading. Bought it specifically for Tears of the Kingdom (as my joy-cons developed significant stick drift right before its release), and I really wish I'd gotten it sooner.

I absolutely love this controller. The versatility this controller gives me between different games is amazing. I can set up the controls differently as needed. It's very easy to set up. I am not really tech savvy and I figured it out quite easily and quickly. It's very sturdy. I have dropped it and it's no worse for wear. The joysticks pop off instead of flat out breaking off, which is very nice. I do take issue with the ridge around the joystick top area where your thumb sits. It hurt my fingers, but you can get covers for them relatively cheap. In future designs maybe not make the ridges so big. All in all, I don't know how I ever gamed before this controller. 5/5 hands down.
