Using for severe postpartum hair loss/severe scalp imbalance. I haven’t been using long enough to comment on the actual hair loss side (6months+ use needed). But can comment on the formula for general hair washing. Very strong peppermint smell, seems to clean scalp really well. Lathers nicely and you don’t need too much product for a wash. It’s not amazing though - my hair does not feel or look that great afterwards. There’s definitely no healthy shine or amazing softness! Hopefully it works for hair thinning because otherwise it’s a really underwhelming shampoo!

I have been using this shampoo for the last 3 weeks. it is too soon to tell whether it will hold up to its claim of thicker hair, so I can’t take or add stars for that. It probably would take 6 months to notice tbh, since that’s how long it would take for hair to noticeable grow out. Anyways, there are still things that I like and dislike about this shampoo. It does an excellent job at washing all the hair product gunk out. I would even classify it as a clarifying shampoo for this reason. My hair is squeaky clean, but it does lack moisture. I received this shampoo and conditioner to try for free from influenster and nioxin for my honest opinion. I liked the peppermint smell, it smelled refreshing. I loved the lather, it lathers up so easy I could spend 5 mins scrubbing my hair. I have found that the longer that I lather my hair the dryer it is when I rinse the shampoo out. Luckily the conditioner helps that. Even though I love the smell and lather I personally would not buy this shampoo. I find it to be too drying. I prefer something more moisturizing

I think I will take this product as my occasional shampoo when I have hair loss. The texture of this shampoo is also foamy; however, I prefer the creamy texture to be able to moisture my dry scalp and hair. The smell is so gooooddd. I received this product free from Influenster and Nioxin in exchange for my honest review. I have been using this product for over three weeks and have not seen a significant change in growth. May be to early to see results. I have thinning hair in front and on the back of my head. I do see some new hairs coming in but I continue to loose hair like crazy. The shampoo has a slight minty smell and has a slight tingling feeling when applying which is nice and I like how clean it leaves my scalp. But not seeing a significant change yet with new growth. Overall I will continue to use product to see if my hair loss calms down and new growth comes in.

I received a complimentary full size Nioxin System 2 shampoo from Influenster for my honest review. I did a lot of research on the Nioxin products before using them. I was a little nervous because I was told that I may lose more of my already thinning hair. I have been using it, and yes I am losing more hair but the hair that hasn't fallen out is thicker. I am not sure if it's worth it to keep using. I have also read that you will lose before you start seeing new growth due to the hair follicles being so clogged before using the Nioxin. So I am going to continue to use and see what happens. Will have to update later!

I have an extremely sensitive scalp with psoriasis issues and moderate hair loss that prescription medication can’t seem to touch. This shampoo has literally changed my life. In less than a month of using it along with the scalp treatment in Nioxin’s hair care system, I have seen so much new hair growth. I have hair loss in patches from scalp psoriasis and thought I was just going to have to get used it to until I started using this shampoo. Dries me out

I have had pretty thin hair for years now and have tried multiple options. I used the System 2 shampoo and conditioner for about 6-8 months, but I'm sorry to say it hasn't worked out. It does clean my scalp, and I like the minty, cool sensation when I use it. However, my hair has become progressively drier and thinner (no hair loss, just losing volume). My scalp is itchy and flaking. I feel like I've lost my natural oils, and I only wash my hair about 2-3 times per week! I checked and yes, both have sulfates. Looks like I'm going back to the hippie brands.
