So I've been suffering hair loss for roughly 6 months now and was so excited to try this set out since I've read great things about it. After the first use of all 3, my hair had never felt so clean ever in my life!! So it started out good with the shampoo then the conditioner I thought it was going to be pretty good as well. The smell was definitely stronger that the shampoo. The best was to describe the sensation was as if someone dumped icy hot on my head and that was what I was washing my hair with. It was not a great feeling at all. After try the whole kit my hair felt very brittle and I was even after to blow dry. I did end up finally using some my normal hair care products to help. I will not be using this again. I definitely caution those with Thinning hair.

the first time i used still product you really feel the peppermint tingly on your scalp and back. Peppermint smell is powerful but dont worry your hair wont smell like peppermint the next day. It does have a natural peppermint smell. The shampoo is easy to use it lathers up nicely and remove well oils and product built up. I do feel like my hair was more shiny and healthy looking after using the product for 30 days. I only noticed a slight decrease in fallouts. If you have thinning hair i do recommend these products, i feel like it helps keep your hair strong and thick and improving your scalp health. When using all three products together, there is a noticeable increase in volume. I love the minty, tingly feeling of the product (although I know this bothers some people). I feel like the conditioner is able to increase volume without weighing down the hair. Using the treatment as well, however, may make you feel like the hair is being weighed down since it is somewhat thick and greasy. I would probably use that product on separate days from the shampoo/conditioner. It would be great for those with dry hair. I have loved this product! I must say, I have only used this conditioner along with the whole system (shampoo, conditioner, treatment), but I LOVE it as a system. I enjoyed the fresh, menthol minty smell and refreshing cooling feeling on my scalp! Though I wasn’t sure if I would purchase the shampoo alone, I would probably still purchase the conditioner because of how hydrating it was and how easy it made for me to comb through my typically snarly hair. I would definitely purchase the three step system! I did notice some hair regrowth, but I am saving that for the scalp and hair treatment.. as I feel like that was really the secret sauce! *I received this product for free for testing purposes.*

Nioxin System 3 shampoo is very gentle on the scalp, minty fresh fragrance, and produces a lot of bubbles (lather up very well for a dime size amount). I was very happy to receive another complimentary hair care set. I had already tried the Nioxin System 6, previously my hair was a lot damaged from chemically dying my hair continuously. It took a tremendous amount of work to get it back to healthy hair, I did a routine work with the system 6 to help with the thinning problem and bringing back the shine and smooth texture. As of now my hair is fluffy soft, shiny but it still has a long way to go. I've been using system 3, for about a week now, It solved my scalp problem. I had very nice curly hair before using this product. Everything was shiney, no breakage, great. I used this product and after the shampoo the texture of my hair went rough and almost instantly stuck to one another. The smell of the shampoo is very very strong and lingers for quite a while. The conditioner was better and didn't have such an overpowering scent. It didn't fix the texture (nothing has even after multiple masks) . My guess is this would be a very nice conditioner on its own. It's the only reason this has two stars. I would not personally recommend this product.

I have light thinning in the very front near my hairline from a life of tying up my thick heavy head of hair and having it slowly pull my hairline back and now it's a little worse from where I used to part my hair daily. I got to test System 1 for natural hair with light thinning and I do see that this system makes a difference in the thinner areas of hair after just one use. I do not, however, enjoy using this system. The reason why is that the shampoo and conditioner both are mint scented and very strong smelling. Love this stuff and never changing it again

So, I was using this for a long time before I tried Olaplex (BIG MISTAKE) and I was happy with my progress and how my hair was getting better. Then I made the big mistake of trying the other line because the hair stylist at Ulta used it on my hair. But all I really needed was a good cut and color, which I now have from a different salon. I am back to using this stuff and never going to try anything else again! This is literally the only shampoo and conditioner that goes through my hair smoothly when I wash it and doesn't leave my hair a tangle mess when I get out of the shower. It also gives just enough body without looking like I teased it. I do love Ulta though for all my hair products and will continue to buy from here.
