Heard of the brand Nitecore but not aware of their portable charging battery, purchased the 20000 one initially then purchased 10000 version for local use. It was not the cheapest I have purchased but definitely one of the smallest in terms of size and most importantly it does not heat up when charging and can charge low voltage items like my smart watch. So happy with the purchase but I wish delivery could be improved as it still too a few days to arrive and the courier delivering has a tendency of placing out at my door but do not ring the bell, so item sits outside for many hours till I go out or gets a delivery.

The newly designed Gen 2 NB1000 is absolutely phenomenal. Although the dimensions are the same from that of first generation, this current model appears to be even more streamlined with a bit more elegance. Now you are able to easily distinguish the current status of charge effortlessly and the yellow border that surrounds both the USB and USBC output ports enhances /compliments the black carbon fiber case. This is truly a remarkable lighter and compact power bank compared to others of the 10000mAh capacity as this is easily fits in my 4Lmini sling. The first generation now permanently resides in my EDC pouch. Great lightweight and fast charger

I've used this on several week-long trips this past year. I love that it is light weight and I don't have to worry about power running out on my phone or headlamp.It holds a charge for a good long time, weeks and weeks. I had it in a drawer between trips and found that after a few weeks, it still had a charge and was able to charge my phone.It doesn't take too long to charge at the outlet either. I purchased a fast charge wall adapter for use on my section hike and found that the battery charge was fully charged by the time my laundry/shower was done.My daughter has a different charger on her AT thru-hike and it was heavier, slower charging, and didn't charge her phone as many times. I'm very glad I purchased this charger and Moosejaw never fails to please me.

It Does Exactly What It Says It Does

This power bank does exactly what it says it does. It is exactly what I wanted. One of the best (albeit minor) features of this Power Bank is that it has its capacity in both mAh and Wh printed on it. When you travel by air a lot, you find that some airports or airlines have their regulations about Power Banks in mAh while others are in Wh. To have both printed on the device makes things so much easier. I am very happy with this purchase.

Light and Powerful

I needed a 10k mAh battery for a longer backpacking trip. I read lots of research on batteries online and it seemed that the NITECORE NB1000 had the best weight to power ratio. The only downside I read about was that it doesn't like being dropped. I'm generally careful with gear so I can live with that.I've used it for a couple of weeks in town charging the various devices I will have on my trip and it's doing great.Some folks have complained about the blue LEDs being hard to see. I haven't had an issue with that. I've used the USB-A and USB-C for charging my iphone 13 mini and I go from less than 5% to 80% in under an hour. I love that.Overall I'm delighted with this battery.

Light weight and compact 10000 mah power bank

I needed to upgrade my long in the tooth old power bank to something a bit more modern than I currently own.I also wanted a power bank that I could charge my devices most that have a type C charge port with a type C to type C cable.Nitecore has a good track record with its devices and I wanted to give them a shot. I haven't been disappointed at all, I cant wait to purchase some of their other devices.

Puzzled by failure

This brick is nice but it failed on me. It operated fine to keep my iPhone charged during a long flight to CA. I topping it off at the hotel and put it in my backpack for a five day backpacking trip. On day Three of the hike I tried to charge my phone and camera but it appeared discharged when I went to use it. Just one blue blinking LED and then turned off. The only thing I can think of is that the ON button may have gotten continuously depressed as it was in my backpack. I have charged it and used it again flying home just fine, but it failed me when I really needed it on the hike. Is my theory above sound? Will it discharge if the button is held in?

Seems good

I thought one LED was broken at first - but it turns out one is a white one for "low power mode".Probably most appreciate the form factor. Saw one guy on youtube submerging theirs - but the one I received is IPX5 - so not sure if that’s advised.Straight through charging is cool. It’s weird because it feels heavy for how small it is - but indeed it’s light on an absolute scale.Overall - definitely good!

Super light & compact, easy to use

Fits into my small gadget zipper pouch nicely with my short charger cables for the trail. Haven't timed the charge up from empty but it charges my galaxy phone at about a percent a minute while my data is turned on, so probably faster on airplane mode. Overall pretty happy so far. It does feel a bit fragile so keeping it in some kind of protective vessel seems necessary.

Worked extremely well.

This worked really well.In my unscientific home testing, this charged my Iphone X twice from almost zero to full charge.I am a Scout leader and we are just back from an 11 day trek in New Mexico (IWTGBTP !!). In the field, I had to keep 2 continuous glucose monitors, a GPS, and an insulin pump device manager charged. I used a solar charger during the day, and charged devices at night. No problems. Used the same power bank for 12 straight days without issue. (disclaimer: we had plenty of sunshine for the solar charger--results may vary). I did have an additional power bank for back up, but never needed it.I would strongly recommend this. Kind of pricey, but you get what you pay for. The bang for the weight made it very worthwhile.ToddH
