Great headlamp. Quite bright. But the output is a bit yellowish compared to my 2013 fenix. But I'm still a satisfied cust. Love the battery indicator part, so we know when to charge. And the headband is really easy to adjust. Love that too.

Excellent All-Around Headlamp

The NU33 is a great all-around headlamp and an excellent upgrade to the NU32 I also own. The output levels are chosen well, and the runtimes at all outputs are excellent. The regulated output is effective at keeping the output steady.The main spotlight beam mode is a perfect mix of spot and flood output. The available high CRI floody mode option is very useful for work that requires accurate colors to be seen by the user. The red light option is handy for use with minimal disturbance to others nearby.The user interface is easy to learn. Good so far

I bought this light because of its compact size and light weight. I use it for night mountain biking. I also chose it because it can run up to 4 hours at 700 lumens which is brightest longest running light is its class. 700 lumens is about the minimum for night activities faster than walking speed. Some compact lightweight headlights are 1000 lumens or higher, but only run for a short time before dropping down to a lower setting (what's the point of that?) Gave it 4 stars due to not having tested its claimed battery life and its too soon to know if it will crap out. So far I am pleased with it.

Great Headlamp.

I've own a few nitecore flashlights. Love every one of them. Decided to buy 2 NU33. 1 for me, limited edition (#310) for my son. We are loving them.If the headlamps are anything like the flashlights, they will be high quality. Time will tell.

Headlamp review

Nitecore NU33 headlamp is a nice piece of gear. I like the different power levels and I really like that it is rechargeable instead of requiring the on going expense of batteries. Delivery was a little slower than I expected - took about 10 days.

Overall this is a decent headlamp. I am a big fan of the USB-C charging port. The battery life seems decent and the mode spacing, for the most part, is adequate. LED tint is fine, could be better, but could definitely be worse. My only real complaint is the lack of a dimmer setting with the red LED. A 0.9 lumen setting like on the original NU25 (2017) would be great. The 13 lumens can be overpowering for close up tasks.

Perfect lightweight headlamp

Everything you could want in headlamp this size. Compact, lightweight, and very bright. I rarely use it on the brightest setting as the lower modes get the job done but it is nice to have the turbo mode. Comfortable enough to wear for hours. Battery life is excellent and it charges quickly. On my second one and will be picking up more as gifts.

Satisfied

I haven't had the headlamp for long, but so far it's living up to its billing. I like the wide level of light settings to balance needs for brightness with battery life. I bought the NU31 and the NU33 at the same time for my partner and I. Both are good headlamps with similar features at different price points. At this point I can't evaluate either battery life or recharging ease.
