I have been using Nivea Men Sensitive Soothing Post Shave Balm for many years. It really soothes the skin. It also absorbs well and seems to hydrate well, the scent is very light. Which I like, because I want my perfume to smell good. Additionally, a very small amount of this goes a long way, so one bottle can last a very long time. I put the smallest amount possible on my hand, lathered up a bit and applied. A small amount goes a long way. The shaving experience is great. The razor glides smoothly, and skin feels comfortable and hydrated. Overall, this is the best shaving gel I have used to date and I have no problem recommending it.

I have to admit that I didn't think I'd like this product, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I did actually like it. It's quite a thin consistency so it spreads easily and I didn't have to use much at all. It soaks in nicely and doesn't leave any oily residue or white skin, and my skin did feel better for the whole day after using it. I usually get quite severe razor burn but using this product relieved it. The only thing I didn't like was the 'manly' smell that all men's products seem to have, but it fades quite quickly so I didn't mind too much. Love your original WITH Alcohol... It has been my favorite for years!! It was nice n fresh, left great scent and wasn't greasy!!! It would evaporate, could use a little extra and didn't have to worry about greasy, greasy...However, the new stuff is like putting on sun tan lotion!!!..., it does eventually go way but not the same feel and not the same smell. It does leave a white smear at first but eventually fades. The fragrance on the original was lasting nice and refreshing.. this stuff has limited dwell time and just doesn't last.Not the same, bring back the original !!! Also does Mexico made group use same manufacturing process as Germany?? Germany manufacturing is awesome!! My go-to balm!

As a wet shaver with sensitive skin, this balm has been manna from heaven since day one. I’ve tried and can easily afford more expensive alternatives, but Nivea checks all the boxes. When applied, it’s immediately soothing, non-greasy and moisturizing. Very refreshing to say the least! Like some commenters, I’m not a huge fan of its slight scent, but the scent dissipates quickly once applied. I always go with some Thayer’s witch hazel to my face immediately following every shave. I wait about 30 seconds or so, then add a generous amount of aloe vera to my palm along with copious amounts of Nivea. Once that combo hits my face, I’m immediately revitalized and am good to go for the day ahead. At 75 years old, my complextion has never looked better. New Formula Misses The Mark - Update

My previous review reflected 5-stars. I am new to the review forum and thought if I did not select any stars, it would result in zero stars. Instead, it auto-populated 5 stars and I did not realize it until my review was published. Nothing in my review has changed. I am resubmitting to reflect a 1-star review.I love the Nivea Men's line of product. I use the shave cream, post shave balm and post shave lotion - all for sensitive skin. The recent change in formula for the post shave balm missed the mark. I am not certain of what the goal was, but now it is a terrible, non-absorbing balm. It isn't even a good lotion. I am hoping I am not alone when asking that the previous formula be brought back. It was far superior to the current formula.

Oily white face

I recently purchased your Nivea Men Sensitive soothing post shave balm. I have been using this product for the better part of 25 years. I have been using these new purchases all week (#25019257 bottle number) after shaving and during the day to refresh my skin. I have noticed this particular batch is oily and when applied will leave a thick white residue on my face. After a period of time this residue will dissipate, but it is nowhere close to the formula I'm use to with other purchases. Was this reformulated of maybe a bad batch? I believe I purchased these 2 bottles from either Target or Walmart. I do not want to return them to either location (this will make me feel like a total lowlife who wants his $14 back). Sensitive Soothing Post Shave Balm..."New" vs "Old" formula

I have bought the "old" Sensitive Post Shave Balm for years. It could not be beat. Clean, moisturizing, and refreshing. Not so the "new" product.The "new" formula has an undesirable "feel", not clean, moisturizing, nor refreshing.Since the ingredients listed on the box are the same, I have to assume the difference originates in the boast on the new box "Formulated without parabens" . Parabens have been used for over 100 years in products in very small amounts. If this is the reason, please go back to including it in your formula. If that is not the reason, whatever has been changed, reverse the decision. Remember the "New Coke" fiasco?I will no longer purchase Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm-an old friend.You had a great product.
