Overall the chair would be good for someone that is heavier and wider than the average person. I am 5'11" and 190 lbs. I work from home so need a chair that is comfortable to sit in for atleast 8 hours a day. This one caused physical pain in the bottom and back after about 3 hours of sitting. None of my weight is in my bottom so I need a chair that will provide support yet comfort in the seating area which this chair does not provide. As for ergonomics of this chair it is definitely lacking in the back the only ergonomics provided is if you are using the pillows provided. Otherwise the back is wide and flat and just as firm as the seat is. Think of it like placing a comforter on a board and leaning on that.
