It’s great. It is so light and easy to move around. I take it with me when I go to different Nursing placements As sometime the heating is not great we’re we stay. Love it. Works really well. Can set the timer for when I am on evening shifts so it warm when I get in.
Things I like: - The Nobo 1000kw is smaller and more energy efficient and yet heats up my average-larger sized bedroom (4 x 5 x 3m) really well. It's a nice comfortable heat. - It really does operate silently. Doesn't wake me up on colder winter nights when I have the thermostat set. - It's worth getting the timer. But be aware that you can't actually set an off time, you can only set a starting time (and the particular temperature you want at that time), so for example I set the nighttime thermostat at 15 degrees celsius starting from 1030pm (so it turns on when the temp drops below 15c), but I can't set a time when I want it to stop. I think this is because it assumes you are going to set desired temperatures for all 24 hours of each day. I have a plasterboard wall, and found out I needed to use wall anchors to install the screws (for the bracket). It actually came with some, but I wasn't sure how good they were or if they were even appropriate for plasterboard, so I bought some that I knew were appropriate and had a high weight rating (I recommend self-drilling ones), they were about $7. The heater feels very solid and safe mounted on the bracket. - It looks nice and is slimline and easy to fit behind furniture (I have it mounted behind my bedside table and it fits easily). Things I don't like: - Whenever the heater is turned on, a light is emitted from the control panel. It dims itself after about 10 seconds of non-use which is great, but at nighttime even the dimmed light is bright enough to light up the wall and disturb my sleep. I have now covered it up with tape which does the trick, but it's still pretty annoying to have to lift the tape off and put it back every time. Would be so much better if it the light was off apart from when a button is pressed. (Note: there's also a second tiny light that turns on whenever the heater is actually heating). Overall, I really like this heater and would recommend it to anyone, but I do wish the light issue would be fixed by Nobo in future models.
