My 70s style apartment had an old gas heater that was removed completely and replaced with a reverse cycle heating cooling unit. This unit was okay for quick heating but a nome with walls made from bricks and mason art needed something more consistent and a radiant heatingsimilar to hydronic heating. This unit does exactly that it provides heat and keeps the room temperature at a pleasant level. Easy to set the timer and there is a choice of mounting on the wall or having rollers. It is slim and attractive. So far I am happy with it and I use it smartly so that the electric bill does not get out of control.

It heats up quite quickly. It feels odd to feel hot air "blowing" from it when you know it has no moving parts. Mine replaced a gas heater and is just as effective at heating. I like the fact that you can set the timer for it to turn on and off. Obviously, being plug in, you can place it relocate it if you need to. At 2400 watts, it may end up being dearer a gas heater, (or not, by the time you factor in cylinder rental, safety inspections etc) but here in outer Brisbane, you don't need it on constantly anyway. I've only had it for a short while, but assuming its reliability is good, I'd buy another one if I needed a second heater.

I bought two Noirot Heaters, the Noirot2400W Spot Plus Panel Heater with Timer and Noirot2400W Spot Plus Panel Heater (without a timer). I am currently using the one without the timer. We bought this heater as our central heating system was not working and we needed something to fill the heating gap.We have a large open lounge / dining / kitchen area and have been using this heater for that space. The area is still too large to be properly heated by this heater, but it has improved the warmth in the room. It is easy to operate and easy to move.By it's nature (power of the heater) the cord is quite short so that limits where we can put it.When I got it home, it was missing one of the clips needed for the wheels so I needed to make another trip back to the store to get a new clip.
Bought this as a temporary measure when my split system broke down. Works well in small to medium rooms. Keeps the room at an even temperature. Extremely quiet, portable and easy to use. Does struggle on weekends if I want to run it during the day and in the evenings (gets too hot and switches itself off). Would be very well suited as a heater for a bedroom or child's room because of the timer and silent operation. Have been using it in my living room. Plan to use in bedroom for shorter periods once split system is installed. Doesn't take up a lot of space, not very heavy and attaching the wheels was very easy. Would recommend wall mount if used around small children for safety as a child could pull or push it over.
We have a fairly large living room with a stair case which we thought the heat might escape. Not the case at all. It heats the room really quickly and makes no noise whatsoever. We also have a one year old who we thought May burn herself but it doesnt get way too hot but hot enough that she knows not to touch it. Havent received our energy bill yet but have to expect it to be a little higher as it does use electricity at the end of the day. Also having an unlimited warranty is a massive plusAs it is dead silent just dont forget to turn it off when you leave the house!

The heater is actually for some reason packed in upside down ie. the bottom of the heater is facing the white handle mentioned above - the lady at noirot said that shouldn't be the case but it is. So if you're transporting it upright, flip the box so the white handle is at the bottom. If you want to be sure, open the box on the white plastic handle side and you can tell if it is upside down by seeing the 'noirot' print on the panel in one of the top corners upside down or by seeing the control panel in the corner at the bottom side (if it was packed right side up, the same direction as the white handle and artwork, the control panel should be up the top - right or left, and the noirot print at the bottom - not visible)Reason for the long review is I used to have the 1500w version years a go and didn't use the black plugs on the castors (as the people at good guys only supplied the castors separtely without the clips) and it kept on falling. Also for my size requirements the 2400w suits it perfectly. And lastly the unit I bought today, the white handle slipped out and the box fell on the floor, then it was transported upside down, and was making a rattling sound (either from the drop or upside down packaging within). So I returned it straight away and swapped for another unit. The noirot customer service and Harvey Norman, were very helpful.Now I am in a paradise of warmth. We were looking for a replacement space heater we could move around easily, this works great in our bedroom, office and living room however our bathroom is small and not suitable for this size heater. it is completly silent and with your door and window closed it'll heat up a room in 20mins.The timer works with days and times of the day, if you want to give it a 30min timer at 8pm before you sleep on a Monday you'll have a fixed setting for every 8pm for every Monday untill you remove that program. If you want a heater to warm up 30mins before you wake up everyday and 30 mins before you sleep given you wake up and sleep at the same time this timer is perfect. it is difficult to learn how to program but easy once you're used to it.

I bought this heater after much research after our gas heating system was affected by a power surge. The room size that this beauty (2400w) heats is just under 100m2. It heats it with ease. I would highly recommend and don’t miss the central heating at all.
