Like others, I was excited about this new Nokia due to nostalgia. However I was sorely disapointed. First off, it is NOT made to last like its predecessors. It is made of flimsy, light, thin plastic. It's not easy finding a feature phone that's the candy bar style rather than the flip (that works in the US) and frankly this Nokia was not my first choice (I had my eye on another Nokia model), but it's the only Nokia feature phone to be sold in the US. I like this phone, it's going to take a little getting used to since some of the keys function differently then my old phone. I haven't had to make a call on it, but texting works just fine. Super affordable, distraction-free communication device. And its CUTE! Activation hack if your provider (like T-Mobile) says they cant activate a 3g phone, just use an already activated SIM card, or borrow your friends smartphone for 5 min and activate it using their phone. Then simply pop the SIM into the Nokia and voila. Speaking from experience: Ive had zero issues moving my already activated SIM between my iPhone and my Nokia.

If receiving a text and typing with a T9 keyboard, it will break your typing and suggest different words than what you desired whilst typing.On the web browser and email application, spacing for the letter J is off. You will see a space displayed in front of the letter even though the actual text isn't spaced.Also, the reception is weaker on this with T-Mobile as it isn't compatible with their latest LTE networks. 3G is serviceable, and I personally do not mind going without service sometimes.For the alarm: Setting your phone to "beep" sound setting (which should actually be labeled vibrate) will also affect your alarm settings. Your alarm will only vibrate! Useless for a heavy sleeper, so ensure to set your ringer setting to silent or with volume to ensure your alarm still works as intended before hitting the hay.I hope Nokia releases the LTE version of this device. When and if they do, I will definitely upgrade to that. This phone is helping me live in the moment and not be a smartphone zombie; a behavior I've noticed as I am no longer one of them.

It might have been that particular device, but it's not a good sign.I will give kudos for one excellent detail: the alarm works even if you turn the phone off, just like original Nokia phones. One thing I hate about my current LG phone is that sometimes it spontaneously crashes in the middle of the night, then the alarm doesn't go off in the morning and I'm late for everything. The new Nokia 3310 alarm works even if you temporarily remove the battery then put it back in (a full shutdown).

1St of all- This is a BASIC phone!NOKIA 3310 is a retro phone that does what early cell phones were designed to do, before becoming "SMART". With this in mind, it is flawless and refreshing to own a rather simple cell phone.I purchased this as a "back up" phone for my MOTO g5+.this unlocked 3310 is a 3G phone that is GSM compatible (T-mobile, ATT and GSM MVNOs). I popped in my SIMPLE mobile SIM and it connected right away to network- no hiccups, no problems. Phone is also compatible with my previous METRO pcs SIM chip. I popped in my SIMPLE mobile SIM and it connected right away to network- no hiccups, no problems. Phone is also compatible with my previous METRO pcs SIM chip. There's just a timer.If you're on the home screen when the screen turns off, you'll have to "unlock" it in order to use the phone again (regardless of the fact that you set it for "do not lock"). You'll press the main button to turn the screen back on, and then it will tell you that you need to press "*" to use the phone. The "do not lock" setting only works if the screen turns off while you're on screens other than the home screen.And I had no idea how to end a call. I pressed every single button and a call would not end. I tried this on several phone calls. I literally had to shut down or wait for the other person to end the call. I'll give Nokia the benefit of the doubt and assume there is a simpler way to end the call, but don't expect to get that information from the online user guide. The guide has "how to make a call" and "how to answer a call". Then it goes to the next topic. There is no "how to end a call".It's really as if Nokia went out of their way to make using this phone a struggle.
