This was the best phone I've ever owned. It withstood nearly everything. The battery life, charge time, front camera, scratch resist screen, was all top tier. Over the course of almost 3 years, dropping my phone numerous occasions, with only the cheap clear plastic case, tonight it finally hit the concrete and shattered. My heart is broken. If I could buy this phone again, I 110℅ would.

This phone feels like a top tier flagship device in the hand.Cons:Like many phones on the market today the camera array is a rather large bump on the back of the phone. With the right case this can be almost all the way eliminated. But I would have rather had a thicker overall design with a larger battery inside. The pros of a larger battery far outweigh the cons of a thicker phone. Especially since I put a case on that made the phone as thick as the bump anyway with no gains to the battery. The phone looks beautiful so I would have just put a screen protector on and used it without a case.Vanilla Android: The bare bones version of Android that Google develops as a base for other manufacturers to build on top of for their own devices. This is a highly optimized version that does what it advertises extremely well. Highly optimized means fast/smooth performance.Bloatware: All the extra software that a manufacturer bakes into the operating system as system software that you can't delete and is most likely always running in the background. This software uses resources and by nature slows your device down. Most people don't even use the majority of this software so it is doing nothing more than unnecessarily chewing up resources in the background and making your phone feel slower over time. More so after you have installed all the apps that you use on a daily basis that are also running in the background.Conclusion:This is a beautiful device that feels really good in the hand. It is priced well and works great.

No bloatware, just stock Android.It was was faster and more responsive than I anticipated. It does not feel like a mid range phone. Photos were great, apps loaded instantly. When doing the setup again I mounted the SD card as EXTERNAL storage and the problem disappeared.I put this up in case you try the SD card as internal storage and the phone is giving you problems. Setting it as external storage fixed the problems for me and hopefully for you too.The phone has been functioning perfectly since then, no issues after that. It really is a great phone.

When I'm in my car with my phone charging through the USB cigarette lighter and I have my aux cord plugged in simultaneously, this phone picks up some noise especially as I'm pressing the gas pedal on my car. Even just tapping the touch screen makes a bit of noise. My old phone never had this issue (Sony Xperia XA1). For a brand name manufacturer like Nokia I don't expect this kind of quality control issue, but sadly it has. Luckily, the noise goes away once you start playing music. Also, the noise doesn't occur at all when my phone isn't plugged into my car's cigarette lighter.- Adaptive brightness can be wonky at times. I'm not sure if it's hardware or software that's the issue, but sometimes the backlighting doesn't light up the screen evenly with adaptive brightness turned on. It gets annoying when you're going through different menus and part of the screen lights up while the other part dims down. Why can't the entire screen just brighten up or dim down evenly whenever I'm walking between indoor and outdoor environments??

Battery life is solid for the AVERAGE user. If you are constantly on your phone gaming or non stop video then you may want another phone. If you are like me and watch occasional videos or movies and talk and surf the web then the battery is perfectly fine. I got this phone on sale for $250.00 dollars and for that price it is a steal. I have not tried out the cameras yet but I have read that they are also great at this price point. So far I really like my Nokia 7.2
I'd recommend avoiding Nokia. Last year, my Nokia 3.1 started failing - I thought I'd overloaded it despite entering a memory card (it wouldn't let you reassign things to the SD card). The orientation would flip between landscape and portrait until it got tired or whatever. I won't go on. Many more issues. If this phone doesn't become entirely useless before my new Samsung S20 arrives (in 3-4 days), it may become embedded in a wall or shattered on the floor or pavement, it's so frustrating.Even more frustrating is Nokia customer care which, like their phones, receives a failing grade. Having spent a total of around 4 hours (almost all on the 7.2 - I gave up on the 3.1 fairly quickly) on the phone or 'chatting', plus sending a few e-mails (trying to be the squeaky wheel to at least make them live up to their one year warranty). I was never able to get anything more than a vague 'send it in and we'll repair or replace in 4-6 weeks.' Their reps are clearly not trained (they read from a script) or paid enough to care. Asking for a manager, I think they pass you to a neighbor or a colleague. There were a few times I was told 'we're really busy, could you write down all your issues and send them to us', twice after I'd stated all the issues. One of the questions they kept asking me is "what have you done?", an ambiguously unhelpful question.I wanted Nokia to rebound. But they, as a company, (not just my 3.1) clearly aren't up to the task.
OK basic smartphone, but afflicted with the worst incarnation of Android OS I've had the misfortune to encounter. The Nokia branded version of Android is horrible. Nothing works as it does on other Android OEM versions. Apps that run ok on other similar androids do not work well on this phone. Despite the fact it is a basic uncluttered Android not saturated in bloatware like Sams**g and others, performance is lackluster at best. I wanted something as close to pure Android as possible, without bloatware and permanently attached apps, but unfortunately this phone was a big disappointment in Android implementation and functionality.There are some good points: As a phone, it works well. In fact, it is the most sensitive phone out of the last 8 or 9 I've had. It's much better in signal capture than any of the big name brands I've had. Only my old Huawei Mate 9 had comparable RF performance, and that was on fewer 4G bands. WiFi reception is outstanding - best I've ever seen. VoLTE calls and WiFi calling work great, unlike some others I've tried.Unfortunately, that's about it for the pro's of this phone. Sadly, it's saddled with a hamstrung OEM variant of Android that lacks much. There are no huge issues, such as constant crashes or hangs that are problematic on others... but too many little issues that just irritate me to the point of not wanting to use the phone. Example - bluetooth connection to devices is buggy, iffy, and unreliable. When connected to an audio device (such as BT speaker), the volume control lacks sufficient discreet increments to be useful. IE, it's either too loud or soft. Apparently the audio DAC is 3 bits wide (ie, has 8 levels). That's insanely low, and absurdly bad design. Never seen any phone with that poor a DAC audio level selection. Overall, solid reliable phone with excellent reception and call quality. RF performance is one of the best I've seen yet. But, as a smartphone, it fails on too many fronts to be a contender for anything but a cheap, disposable phone - and it's too expensive for that.
