I've had this phone for a year now. The Android One security updates have been regular, and the device is now on Android 12. Battery life is still great - can last up to a few days before needing a charge. 5G works well - had to contact Spark to enable this at first, but no problems since then. Spark's 5G network has since expanded a lot over the last year and has rolled out in number of towns and cities. VoLTE works well - especially good for rural areas and RCG towers (which are only 4G). Spark has recently enabled this model for Wifi Calling (VoWiFi). Works very well and the voice quality is fantastic. This is important for me as I am often in areas where I have good internet but no cell coverage.

To begin: the only thing I will say good about the phone is the speaker is nice and clear with good volume.I researched the phone I wanted from the criteria I had in mind. The display model, it would not unlock (trapped in some demo mode), so I couldn't test that one but I wasn't expecting any issue. I purchased the phone and took it home.I got the phone home and set it up. Started to try things and started to notice the colours on the display just aren't right... it looks like faded newspaper. Especially red, it looks orange. I would call it "washed out colours on the display". No, it is not brightness or white balance or adaptive brightness on the X20. Brilliant Phone!

This is my first android phone and i have always been an apple user. The switch to android was very easy and the menus and interface are smooth and easy to use. The phone is large but light and smoother than an iphone. It comes with updates for 3 years which is brilliant. The video and sound quality are great and the camera is excellent. I would definitely recommend this phone - a lot cheaper than an new iphone and equally if not a better phone overall!

Decent until screen died (3 months)

The Nokia X20 worked fine for a few months. I liked the lack of bloat and it was quick enough. I found it adequate for email, messaging, podcasts and running smart devices through Google Home, which is basically all I used it for. It has some annoying if not detrimental characteristics - the main ones being that it's bulky and the screen tends to unlock itself mid-call (meaning you can inadvertently mute yourself or hang up). After 3 months the screen went black and refused to light up. The phone is on - the unlock button gives a tactile buzz - but the screen is black. I use my phone fairly lightly and can't imagine there's any physical damage (my previous two phones lasted 5 and 6 years before I replaced them while still operational). It is worth being aware that support for this phone is minimal. Nokia weren't able to advise on accessing my data or on resetting the phone myself. Both Nokia and JB have said (without looking at the phone) that there is no way to recover the data and that sending it away for repair and factory reset was the only option (I was however asked if I wanted to buy a new phone while it was being repaired... charming).

Good phone until it died after 4 months

Bought this phone for Android One. Clean, no bloatware. It was a good phone until display suddenly went black after 4 months. Phone was looked after, never dropped. Now dealing with Nokia warranty support. One week so far without my phone, no offer of a replacement, getting annoying. Would recommend if phone didn't die, but reading through these reviews seems I'm not the only one with the screen issue

Great phone

I don't know much about mobile phones, so my review is of limited value. It is user-friendly, and easy for me to use, it seems fast and efficient, and the technology it employs is mind-boggling. Having said that, the same could probably be said of any other modern phone on the market today, so just how competitive the Nokia x20 is, according to my limited perspective, I don't know. However, I'm very pleased with the purchase I've made and certainly have no regrets.

Great phone at great price

Fantastic phone which matches up to Samsung, without the price tag. The Nokia is easy to use and navigate, the camera is fantastic, and there's no bloatware. The battery lasts a good amount of time. I found it extremely easy to transfer everything from my old phone to the new one, texts included. You just plug the two phones together and it automatically transfers. I didn't lose anything. I like the ability to customise the menu and settings, and anything I have difficulty working out, the Google assistant is easy to use and very helpful. With a decent phone case, it's a sturdy phone and can withstand daily wear and tear. All in all, a great phone and I would purchase again.

Great value and future proof.

Multitasks very well. 6gb ram means you can have many apps open at the same time and switch between them, and the Allies resume right where you left off.The processor sounds low powered but the performance is actually great. NFC, 5G capable and has 3 years worth of OS and security updates.Haven't tried the camera much, yet. Dual SIM capable, or 1 Sim + SD card. Came with a free pair of ear buds.

I was also concerned about this that's why I chose the Nokia brand. Ok some may say the Google is a company that sells your user preferences to advertisers, but I tried to limit Google's access to my personal preferences.To sum up:- Great mid range phone with a lot of value for the price- Futureproof for the next 3 to 4 years- And probably one of the more secure Android phones

Very well made Phone, trustworthy purchase

Very good quality, very fast for what I needed, the camera is very versatile and good for editing. No bloat software and good durability. Never lags. Good to come with case and preplaced screen protector! After this phone is done (should last a very long time) I will buy another Nokia. Very satisfied. I've dropped it like 20 times now and it's held up completely fine.
