I nearly came to the end of my rope over time with this phone, and had to do a factory reset. This meant re-install of all existing apps (hat-tip to Google for restoring them) and making sure the settings were proper. Well now I'm still getting loss of functions, this time it's my phone call drop-down. A smoke detector went off in error and got a call from my alarm company, I WAS FRUSTRATED BECAUSE THE DROP-DOWN TO ANSWER THE PHONE DIDN'T SHOW UP WHILE PHONE WAS RINGING, DROP DOWNS ARE SET TO SHOW ON TOP OF OTHER APPS IN USE. I had to call the alarm company up to cancel the dispatch. This is the straw that broke the camel's back which caused me to jump on the computer to do this review. I emphasize that all settings are set properly. Another thing, the text message arrival tone don't work, even though it's set to go on. HUM......mmmm. There's no discount and I thought this was well worth it, but I have second thoughts and considering replacing this phone with one with a more solid reputation of having better software/firmware. Please save the trouble and have an update sent out.

Overall, I appreciate this phone. I made the switch from iPhone and I'm glad I did. I got everything I wanted in a phone, with about half the price, and I got more. I love the extra-tough screen (it's been through some significant drops already and not a scratch!), and the waterproof safety as well. I wish it came in a *slightly* smaller size, as I cannot use it one-handed without compromising my grip while typing. I also wish there was more customization for the buttons, I feel like I'm locked into their limited functions. I turned off the Google assistant shortcut for the side button, but I have no option to use that button for something else. Great battery life and strong signal, thoughanual APN must be set up due to rarity of the device. Easy to see and read screen with very strong speakers for excellent media and notification volume. Very sturdy construction with great heft and solid feeling chassis. However, does not play well with certain Google apps despite being Android One and has poor ergonomics. Placement of headphone jack and USB C port is excellent and ideal for people who connect their devices to mounts (if you can find one to accommodate the size) in vehicles. Does tend to get hot during use, even with the screen off, probably due to size. Additionally, device is bulky and camera is lacking. Front camera is intrusive, and back camera does not handle lighting or stabilization well. Call ... This is possibly the worst phone I've had in over a decade. It's 2023 and here's what's up with this "smart" phone: - Can't handle GoPro videos- Does NOT have dual sim as advertised (you have to chose between using that slot for sim OR memory)- Screen sensitivity is all over the place, and the swipe backwards thing mahes it hard to navigate in apps without constantly losing your place or your work- The power button calls emergency every time you touch it (you cannot turn this off!) unless you program it to activate the camera - then it turns on the the camera or calls emergency whenever you just want to OPEN YOUR PHONE. I can the police line five times a day just tryna open the phone. Can't turn it off.- The camera is a joke. Pro 😂😂. No...not at all... ... This phone has so many different features to help me in my day to day life, as well as my business that it is my new favorite and I can't wait to use it for many years to come. The phone style is super sleek and modern. It isn't heavy at all for the amount of juice it packs. I love that it has its own protective case incorporated into the phone so that I never have to worry about or spend money on again. I also love that there is a red emergency button atop the phone conveniently located in case of emergencies.
