Styled on the typical deep bellied baitfish that are so prevalent all over the globe. The Madscad has been designed to be effective in all environments, in a range of sizes for a huge variety of species. This design has been refined over years of testing and many prototypes to get the perfectly balanced lure. The key design features like the flattened top of the head, to the scalloped sides and small tail wings all combine to make the action on this lure truly dynamic. 42 Grams 115mm Length Slow Sinking Detailed Description The Madscad sinks level, and has a wiggling action when sinking to allow the sides to give off flash and look more like a wounded baitfish. It has an erratic swimming action when twitched, producing a pronounced thumping side to side darting action. You can employ a faster straight retrieve as well, but either the faster retrieve or the slow twitch will entice strikes. Our recommended retrieve when casting is a couple of quick twitches and then a 2-3 second pause to let the lure slowly sink and wiggle and then twitch it again. The Madscad 115 is the ultimate all round casting stickbait, and has accounted for more species than any other lure on Nomad Sportfishing charters. Fitted with 3/0 inline singles and the Gorilla Through Wire system, it is ready to fish out of the box.

This is by far my favorite lure for almost all the saltwater fishing I do in the Northeast, Southeast and Costa Rica. They have the best action and can be working in so many ways whether it is straight retrieve, long drags, quick twitches, or any combination. I have this lure in 4 different sizes. The design of these lures gives them great balance, great action, and great castability. As always with Nomad Design there is great color selection. This is one of the most versatile lures I have ever owned.

I fished this down off Baja at the ridge and was hooking yellow fin tuna almost every cast, they were biting! One of my mates caught a wahoo on a sardine pattern, the 150 madscad

I use to think the 115mm size was too small but it's a great bite size for fish. I've been successful and confident with this color. It's similar to the 35% cheaper Sebile stickshad (I believe the lure designer is the same) but Sebile does not have the colors, robust hardware, and heavier thump in the water feel. I stocked up.

Like the colors. I had to try something different. Swimming action is good. Haven’t caught anything on it yet. Can’t wait To see what will bite it
Casts like a dream and has a really enticing action that draws strikes from fish when other lures were only getting follows. Catches Tuna and Dollies with ease. I went with a bright pink and a natural mullet colour, when one didn't get hit the other did.
This is my first Nomad lute but it won’t be my last. Certain sizes usually the smaller ones come with rings and hooks. Cast a mile and has super nose actions. I got the si sinking model and have already hooked up many times. So far the paint is holding up nicely.
I’m always trying to fish something different Than the other people fishing the same area because I believe it gives you an advantage and you will catch more fish if they see something different that they’re not used to seeing so I bought this lure to use as a Shad imitation for striped bass and hybrid stripers and it has not been disappointing! So far I have learned that there is not a wrong way to fish this bait you can use it like a jerk bait or simply a steady retrieve. I will be definitely adding more to my arsenal!
I have been following Nomad operations for a while. Last year went to Chiriqui, Panama, on a 3 days offshore trip with my brother. Decided to buy a couple of Madscad 150 to try them. We tied the red head for my brother. I just couldn't believe it. From tunas, wahoo, silero red snappers, jacks, casting and trolling this thing is about catching fish! The closest to the Madscad was the Sebile Stick Shad I would say at a ratio of 4:1. Unfortunately I did not have my Rapala Magnum set with me to compare it to the Madscad. That will be in our next trip.
Keep an eye on this company because once the word gets out, their products are going to explode. Great design, heavy duty and BKK hooks. If these lures can handle GT in Australia, just imagine how they will hold up in our fishery. Take a minute to check out the complete product line. It's gonna be big.
The first time out with the 115mm Madscad lure I hooked a small tarpon and the lure failed. When I went to unhook the small tarpon I discovered a bent through wire extending out through the cracked plastic body of the lure. Perhaps it was just a fluke and that tarpon got the perfect leverage to break the lure. But two stars for hooking a tarpon after just a few casts. I will purchased a few Madscads so I will be back to update this review after more experience with the lure.
