So far so good. I have used it 5 times and once for steaks. I notice that the description was changed after I bought it. It used to say cast iron. Which surprised me when it came and it was not as described. But it is strong enough to handle heavy use. I used it from the stove to the oven for the steaks and no warping. It doesn't heat evenly on my flat top stove but it is close enough. It is very difficult to pick up when hot and too shallow if you cook a lot of fatty bacon. For the price it is a great buy.

Exactly what I wanted. This cast aluminum grill/griddle replaced a cast iron one that was so heavy I could no longer lift it. I love it. But it is not exactly as non-stick as advertised, at least not without some sort of oil. The very first piece of bread I put on the grill stuck, and I'm still trying to scrape off the stuck-on bits. But the weight of the item alone is more important to me than its less-than-stellar non-stick quality. I would absolutely buy it again.

LOVE the weight: easy to handle and move around as needed. Cooks evenly on grill side, I have not yet used the griddle side, but like knowing it is there ( 2in1), saves storage space . .
One of the main reasons for my purchase was the fact it was described as non stick on the package. This claim was just not the case. After 2 uses on the stove top, there was so much food sticking to it that it was impossible to clean - and even sections of the grill surface flaked off - therefore it is essentially unusable. I have only hand washed it as directed, and followed the package directions. Extremely dissapointed as it is definitely not non stick and a waste of money. Dissapointed in Walmart as well as the manufacturer
I have a gas stove and the grill pan is very easy to use and a great addition to the kitchen. Regarding the grill side, it is amazing for cooking proteins. However, it's a bit difficult to cook smaller vegetables or cut up vegetables because they get stuck in the grating and it's nearly impossible to remove them. It's also very, very difficult to clean. If you have a large sink and a lot of patience you will be fine. I have neither of those so I find it frustrating. The drawbacks, however, have not deterred my use. It's still great for food! Regarding the griddle side, I have not encountered any problems. Great for eggs.
I love these so much. I used to have very heavy ones from somewhere else. I din't use those ones much because of the weight of them. These are so much lighter and easier to use. The clean up is a breeze. There is much less splashing also since these ones have the grill lines going on an angle instead of straight across like my old ones from elsewhere.
I bought this because our outside grill was in bad shape. Also I was watching ingredients etc. for cooking. My husband was diagnosed as diabetic and we changed lots of items on his diet. The smooth side equals ingredients cooked in balanced manner. Great for scrambled eggs and the grill side has been effective with ground beef patties.
Bought this to use on my gas stove because my previous stove in Missouri had a griddle on it and I loved cooking on it. Now this piece is horrible. It not only was a nightmare to try and cook on. It warped from the heat and even worse when I cleaned it with soap and water by hand as supposed to the nonstick coating came off in areas after first time using it. So do not buy. Complete let down by Nordic ware. Which is something I’ve never said before because my experience with Nordic Ware in past has always been great till this.
I've been wanting a griddle for our gas stove to feed our growing family. Well, family member who was visiting bought this for me and threw away the packaging (unfortunately). I noticed by the second time cooking the coating had a nick (we only use non-metal spatulas). I've used it about 10 times (made pancakes, burgers, etc.), and I cannot get old grease off. I only use veggie or olive oil - no sprays... I always heat it before I put on the food... awful! Also, used the grill side one time to cook some fatty steaks. While it made great grill marks (heated pan and rubbed oil on first) the clean-up factor was awful. Food is sticking, pan looks awful - just going to throw it away.
