I'm waiting for grandkids to come make our "practice" gingerbread house but this is such a sturdy mild that I can tell unmilding will b easy. That was my only concern, as I have NEVER been unhappy w my NUMEROUS purchases from Overstock.com. Bingo...the kids & I will have such fun!!!
This seems to be a great quality pan. I didn't have my typical cake pan spray, and just buttered and floured and only one small section on top separated when removing from pan. This is a great size, serves several. Beautiful when lightly dusted with powdered sugar.
The cake came out beautiful! I used orange juice in place of milk. I did grease well and floured too. I used a brush to get all nooks and crannies. It didn’t stick; as you can see the photos. Pan Made in USA!
Beautiful mold. Turned out amazing for my rum cake!!! Truly a staple! I ended up putting my icing in the chimney and it made my cake even more moist and delectable than before!!!
I was so excited about this pan. I caanot eat gluten (celiac) so i was looking forward to coming up with a solution for gingerbread at christmas. I even found a gluten free spice cake. I prepped the nordic ware pan by greasing and flouring it. It did not release my cake. I had to remove it in large broken crumbles. What a huge waste. Perhaps regular cake will release. I havent tried it since. I cant get myself to spend the time, energy, and money again to see if it will work afterall.
Great, cute etc etc but how the heck does it not spill cuz when it’s upside down it rests on 4 -8 tiny points of contact. Just spilled all over checking on it. Ugh!!!
