Northwave Storm Carbon

The extremely light carbon version of the "Storm"The Morph Carbon 12 AAS sole with a full carbon insole in the pedal area features a stiffness index of 12.0. The exclusive Adaprive Arch Support made of TPU allows the shoe to adapt perfectly to the arch of the foot. The ideal sole for every foot! In addition, the sole is compatible with NW Speedplay Adapter for less distance between foot and pedal. The unibody construction combines large and strategically placed mesh inserts with ultra-thin reinforcements. The result is very good breathability and ventilation with maximum stability at the same time. The asymmetrical lacing distributes the pressure on the back of the foot and guides it perfectly around the entire foot. The Performance Regular footbed provides more support from below. The SLW2 Dial - the only one with gradual loosening or complete opening at the touch of a button - ensures easy access and a perfect fit.

Great value
14 December 2019

Only worn a few times for 2 hour turbo sessions thus far. They're a great fit, light, stiff and solid, well vented. I'm a 44, bought a 44, spot on. Well shaped for my feet and very comfortable - initially. After an hour on the turbo I took them off and put my old favourites on as they're quite buzzy and I was starting to get some numbness. Thats possibly due to the stiffness of the sole. Thicker socks might help. The lacing system is a bit tricky too, fiddly to undo. The dial on one side is a bit stiff but I'm sure it'll loosen up over time. I reckon once worn for a couple of months they'll fall into shape nicely. I bought at a third off, so great value. Thumbs up to Sigma too for speedy service.

Light sturdy and comfortable!

Very happy purchase. Looking for a next pair of cycling shoes and chose these ones. They are pretty comfy and the carbon sole is proper stiff transmitting power quite nicely. They look cool as well :). Only downside is that they don't have them in 44.5 but the 44 is a snug fit

My favourite shoe so far
20 May 2020

As a woman I find cycling shoe fit varies massively between brands and whether or not something is unisex. These are a perfect fit at 40, which is my standard half size up from regular shoes. (I do this for cycling and running shoes). They are really comfortable and make my other, very expensive carbon shoe feel painful in comparison! I'm a Northwave convert now! They look great too. Only criticism is the white coating is pretty thin and I'm not very good at avoiding marking them but fixed with white leather paint. I highly recommend them!

Bought these last month, used them most days, not for a long ride yet but I find them very comfortable and solid on the bike.
