This item is compact with the features needed for clip launching in Ableton's session view. The colored RGB pads make it easy to navigate and control at a glance. The build quality is great. For me, it's a dedicated clip launcher to accompany other midi controllers without taking alot of space. Simply makes it easy to focus on what is in front of me. Just what I needed for them crowded production desk with limited space.

This comes with Ableton live lite and has a ton of features. You can use it as a midi trigger for drums, synths pads etc. But it can do sooo much more. It can be a sequencer, audio trigger and arrange whole songs. I am sure I am using only 10% of its power and the RGB synced to Ableton colours makes it easy to follow.

The Novation Launchpad Mini mk3 is by far the best way to launch in to grid based clip playback.Setup is very easy straight out of the box, but there is heaps to customise if you want to set it up YOUR way.My favourite feature is that the Mk3 has RGBW pads that follow your Ableton session, and this makes life much easier as well as making you look cooler (which is important).Size and form factor are amazing, great build quality.The launchpad products are really instruments in their own right. The are limited by your imagination, and like any good instrument, how much time you are willing to put in to see how much you can get out of it!

Absolutely outstanding!

Works extremely well, instantly worked with what I was programming it with. Set up was quick and easy, no issues. Streaming keybinds with the software I set up was a breeze.

Good for the price and on a budget

Its a solid launchpad, good build quality and looks great aesthetically. Works well with Ableton Live and also Logic Pro X’s Live loops. Problems I ran into mainly is the fact the pads aren’t pressured sensitive so making drum beats or even melodic hooks with say a piano isn’t really that great. I believe the models that are above this are far superior even though the cost more but at least they have more versatility

I hated ableton before I tried this controller

This controller was game changing for me. I didnt like ableton and I struggled to get the hang of it. This controller is intuitive and easy to use. I like how the colors change based on how you label your tracks. The drum mode and keys mode are wonderful. I struggle to with my midi keyboard. Im not a keyboard player at all. This pad it makes it easy to make plucks and melodies.

Its fine for what I want

This is a more basic much smaller version of its bigger brothers with less features and the pads arent pressure sensitive, but I only wanted it for launching clips and a bit of finger drumming anyway. The pads are a bit more gummy than the X and pro but I dont mind that, still does the job and I usually have pads set to full velocity anyway. I think one day when I have more space I will upgrade to the X but for now I am very satisfied with this little fellow.

I was originally going to use this product for a podcast as something to input sound effects when the time came. Sort of like a soundboard. Well, that didn't turn out what I thought it would. To start with, this product was easy to setup on a Mac. Plug it in, follow the directions. Quick and easy. Even brought me to a web page to try it out. On a PC, it was more of a struggle as I had to find drivers and even setting them up didn't work as well as I'd like. it's doable, just more of an annoyance. The next trick was getting it to work with Ableton Live. This gives you a lite version, with only 8 tracks available to make at once (8-track?) but it does detect it. Just, not as it showed on the screen. The keys part worked as it emulated a keyboard successfully. The drums had all the sounds mapped in odd locations. Ableton is a bit daunting for those used to things like Garageband or Audition (speaking of which, I find it odd this device can't be used in Audition).For someone who has never used one of these before, I had a lot of fun setting it up and experimenting with it. I even use it now to make some hip hop beats I can study with. It's also nice and portable, easy to take with you, and it doesn't seem like it's fragile. Provides for all my keyswitching needs.

I use this with Cubase 10 as a single place for my keyswitches for all my libraries in a small fooprint. It covers my libraries from Heavyocity, Spitfire Audio, 8Dio and various libraries from Native instruments to name some of them. It's easy to program the MIDI note or MIDI command you want and save the layout. There is three banks that you can save your 64 key layout. No more constant transposing my keyboard to get to the keyswitch!

So far so good

Been playing around with this initially and enjoying it so far. I like the flexibility with what you can do with it. It can be customised quite easily with the component app or website. For me, whose fingers are average size, the pads aren’t too small to drum with. The menus change quickly. And the unit came very quickly. I think this unit will be very handy.
