Basil essential oil has many benefits, among them is helping to boost breastmilk supply. I added basil, along with fennel essential oil to a roller bottle and topped up with FOC. I apply to my breasts and/or spine and have noticed a difference when I use it. (Make sure not to use fennel for more than ten days.)

I hate the new child-proof caps Now has started using. I can not for the life of me get them open to see if I even like the smell. It was the same with the fir oil I recently ordered. Now brand used to use regular caps and worked fine. They have always had high-quality essential oils from my experience, but that doesn't matter if you can't even get to the oil in the first place.

this scent is awesome, a good quality basil oil, i use as a essential oil in my diffuser, sometimes I mix with rosemary and fennel, it smell great and makes me feel so relax, is soothing. A good natural oil. sometimes I feel like eating it ! A very generous size for its price. The packaging can be a little tricky to open/close at the cap though.

My child experiences acne and we are working though various herbal products to see what works for her.We are trying Basil in a daily warm water rinse with promising results. It seems to help balance oily skin areas, very soothing and reduces general outbreaks.Leaves a lovely scent, great quality and great price for size !

NOT A fan. And I like many other oils from this brand. NOW Foods Basil Oil does NOT smell like basil. It has a strong scent that can be sickening. It smells more of LICORICE than basil. Do not recommend. Especially if you want BASIL.
I'm recently finding that Now essential oils are hit or miss compared to their consistent quality in previous years. I have some basil essential oil remaining in a bottle I'd bought several years ago from another, but not well known, brand that is excellent and that cost much less than this. The other brand smells just like fresh basil leaves - even after sitting around for years when I forgot I had it.This new bottle of the Now brand smells off as though there are bitter chemicals in it. Several other essential oils from Now also smell bad, and with a bitter chemical odor. If they are "steam distilled", how can that be?? I'm very disappointed in the Now brand over all, although some of the oils are quite nice.
I misread a recipe and thought it stated I needed liquid basil when in reality I needed sliced fresh basil leaves. This oil was baked into a dish. It dominated the flavor of the dish, and not in a good way. I assume it is used for something other than cooking.
