Best ever supplement for tight muscles, muscle pain, knots in muscles, weak bones. When I feel pain in my hips or a tight back muscle, I take daily, 1/2 t. mixed in OJ. (Also do stretching exercises for the back and use heating pad / ibprofen as needed). Also Its a very good supplement for those with osteoporosis. ( I actually stopped taking my Osteo. med due to severe back pain! One of the side effects!)Mayo clinic site has a good article on this and also Calcium CITRATE powder which is less calcium but absorbs easier in a stomach that has problems such as absorption problems caused by acid reflux meds..**With Calcium Carbonate, I also mix in 1/2 t. Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C powder) to help with absorption of this stronger Calcium powder.

In March 2021, my serum calcium levels are 2.34 mmol/L and no calcium supplements till April. I started on Solgar calcium 600, but after finishing, i decided to try this as i did not like the titanium dioxide in Solgar calcium 600 and started taking this powder in September. Now in December, my serum calcium level is at 2.31 mmol/L. I have been taking half a teaspoon twice a day. Either i am not taking enough or poor absorption, despite taking twice the amount NOW foods recommend. I could feel Solgar calcium 600 working positively as it reduced acidity, but do not have the evidence to back that up. I cannot discern any problems with quality. The problem maybe ingredient (calcium carbonate). No improvement or benefit. No problems with taste.
