USES: bug repellent, kills germs, air freshener, relieves sprains & cramps.COLOUR: transparent white but turns brown after opening.SCENT: very strong scent.WHY GOOD QUALITY: scent is very strong.MY EXPERIENCE: very effective in warding off ants and flying insects because of its high citral content. I add 3 drops into a spray bottle, dilute with water & spritz. It kills the ants & insects instantly. To deter ants from coming in, I sprinkle a few drops outside the door and the strong scent deters them. Do not add too many drops if the strong scent causes nausea.

My mom has lemongrass growing in her garden so I was expecting the scent to be similar to the fresh lemongrass that I am used to . However, the scent was actually milder/ different. Maybe it is a different species from the ones we have in South East Asia or because it is not as fresh. But it was still very soothing and leaving some cotton balls with the essential oil around the house did keep mosquitoes away (traditionally used as natural insect repellant).I Overall a good product. I like the packaging especially the cap which prevents dripping or leakage. The price is also reasonable for the size.

I am a "Now" product fan. the Lemongrass scent is the smell that I know and love. The strength of the scent is good and lasting. The oil mixes well with a carrier oil for skin and works well in a diffuser.I am adding a comment about essential oils and their potential toxicity to cats as I don't believe there is enough awareness. I do use this in a diffuser around my cats, but am careful as it is difficult to learn which oils are toxic. Even reliable sources contradict one another. I learned the unfortunate way about how sick cats can get when exposed to oils that are toxic for them. They are fine, but I am careful and more educated. I am glad that I figured out a way to still use my favorite Now oils and keep my cats safe.
