This stuff is amazing! It tastes delicious! Use just the right amount....too much will taste slightly funny because it's so concentrated. But it's the closest thing to sugar I have found. It dissolves perfectly even in ICED tea! I like my tea sweet - and I used 2 1/2 of the teeny tiny scoops in iced tea and it was perfect!! Great product and although expensive - it's not really. This will make me about 18 gallons of tea!

I had heard so much hype about this product, I wanted to try it but it was pretty expensive so I held off for awhile. The picture on Vitacost makes it look like a jug of the stuff, so warning one look at the ounces! It came in like a small spice size plastic jar. This powder is finer than powdered sugar. It comes with a teeny tiny scoop but the jar also has shaker holes. Of course you can't get the scoop out without getting powder on your fingers so I tasted it off finger. Wow, yes it is sweet but not pleasant. It reminds me of stevia which I don't like the taste of. So I tried to shake just a tiny bit into my tea but the holes of shaker are big and too much came out and ruined my tea. Wow this stuff is like a powerful sweet chemical. I have been buying this Now Foods monk fruit extract powder for probably 4 years now. I use it in hot and cold drinks as well as baking. Hot drinks have no problem dissolving this sweetener and it mixes in quickly. when adding to cold drinks, sprinkle on top, trying to not leave big clumps and let it sit. After a couple minutes it will have dissolved and you can stir and drink. In baking is more complicated and has been trial and error for me so I suggest making very small batches of whatever you try so there is less waste when they don't work. It is not a one to one sugar replacement because it's pure monk fruit without any other sweetener to bulk it up. So in summary, my absolute favorite sweetener, it's like fifty percent mogrosides according to my research which ... MoreI have been buying this Now Foods monk fruit extract powder for probably 4 years now. It's a tiny bottle but the scoop is also tiny and you only need one level scoop for an extra large mug. Highly recommend, I tell all my family and friends to buy it.

It's SO hard to find unadulterated monk fruit products! (It's usually mixed with erythritol, which I do NOT want to ingest!) So, I'm very happy to have found this powdered pure monk fruit extract. (I also purchase the liquid as I use one or the other depending on the recipe or intended use.)Monk fruit is the ONLY sweetener I've found that doesn't have adverse health effects or a nasty aftertaste. As long as iHerb continues to carry this product, I'll continue to buy it!
I like Now organic monk powder because it tastes GREAT in beverages and is pure powder. One of the few monk fruits without sugar alcohols. It’s very similar to stevia.Almost too similar. In my opinion, it is not “200 times” sweeter than sugar, it’s about 4x as sweet as sugar (which is similar to another brand I tried). If it were 200x sweeter, I’d use micro amounts but I do need a full 1.5 to 2 scoops in a small beverage/cup coffee. It’s also expensive.I’m also not sure how the color is white… or what process it undergoes while still maintaining that it’s organic.I do wish the bottle had a better shaker/sifter top.I transferred the product to a different container (a good spice container) to make it easier to add to beverages.Overall the flavor is great ... MoreI like Now organic monk powder because it tastes GREAT in beverages and is pure powder. I have been using Monk Fruit extract for many years as a sugar alternative to sweeten my cereals and teas. I also use it for cooking and baking. I am very thankful that monk fruit extract exists. It would be perfect for diabetics since it does not spike your blood sugar levels. Although I gave the NOW Foods brand a 5 star rating, it really only deserves a 4 star rating because of the extremely high price. I have been paying this high price for many years because purchasing monk fruit sweetener where monk fruit is the only ingredient was difficult to find. I have been paying this high price for many years because purchasing monk fruit sweetener where monk fruit is the only ingredient was difficult to find. Now there are many brands available and with more affordable prices. At first I used the Lakanto brand, but later learned that Monk Fruit extract was a very small ingredient in the package and the main ingredient was Erythritol, a synthetic sweetener which unfortunately does not share the same healthy benefits as monk fruit. Monk Fruit is natural and comes from a melon. Also, unlike Erythritol, Monk Fruit does not cause stomach upset. When you eat too much Erythritol… which is actually a small amount, it may have a negative effect on your digestive system. For me, it caused my stomach to boil and feel queasy for hours
Lasting better than their 8 fl oz (237 ml) liquid which runs out in my use less than half than it should. I make my own liqud sweetner adding powder (~25 "microspoons") to vanilla extract 30ml bottle. It makes it taste better than putting it directly to coffee + bonus vanilla taste. Solves way easier to alcohol than to coffee. After mixing this 30ml bottle lasts up to 10 days in my heavy coffee use 7-8 cups/day (adding it to erythritol - on its own both sweetners taste BAD but combined are as good as real sugar). Now 5 weeks with this method and there's plenty left. I will definitely order this powder form from this on!
Recently I decided to try powdered monk fruit over liquid due to having an issue getting a liquid without alcohol. I wish I had of bought this one first bc I absolutely love it. Originally this was bought for others whom dont really need any sugar in their diet, but while making nut milk, some spilled on my hand, was eaten & this powder has now become my preference for night time sweeteners (sugar before bed is a no no for me). The taste is so much more intense than liquid monk fruit sweeteners & doesn't have that terrible glycerin flavor. I use it in coffee & teas. my only gripe is it acts like it's hydrophobic. There is a spoon included that gives a serving about the size of a pen tip. When I put that little bit in my beverage, it will float forever & requires me ... MoreRecently I decided to try powdered monk fruit over liquid due to having an issue getting a liquid without alcohol. I hope the quality is never changed.
Honestly I’m so disappointed. I’ve tried the brown monk fruit with erythritol and liked the taste, but wanted something without erythritol to add to my morning coffee instead of sugar. This is NOT it. Tastes like fake sweetener Splenda type. Terrible. Cannot use it at all sadly. If fake sweetener taste doesn’t bother you go for it, but if you’re looking for a sugar taste, do not buy.
While of course they all have an aftertaste, this product is by far the product that leaves the least aftertaste. I do find that when baked the after taste increases. Advise against using this product for baking.Use it to sweeten yogurt, smoothies, milk shakes, etc.I find this product to taste best when food items you mix into are cold.I have no GI issues when using this product. While the size appears small, I never go through a bottle before the expiry date even with daily usage.
