Little background: I have used Rapunzel Rapudara for several years, but it has not been available since last 4 years or so. So we switched to Wholesome Organic Sucanat. We have been happy. But when NOW sucanat came on sale few weeks back, I wanted to try. We had to use twice the amount of my Wholesome sucanat to get the taste close! burning through several packets in a short period of time. I am not buying NOW sucanat again.

I choose to purchase and use this product in almost all of my home baking. It contains the nutritional elements that are mostly eliminated in refined sugars. I use it whenever sugar is called for in a recipe and although the texture and colour of the final product, i.e. lemon pie, chocolate chip cookies, pound cake, etc, are altered due to the nature and colour of the Sucanat granules, I find that the taste of these cakes, cookies and pies is more robust and flavourful. I also prefer it in cups of tea. I highly recommend Sucanat for rich taste and nutrition.

very good replacement of white and brown sugar, it has the minerals that are usually removed from other sugar. very good buy, highly recommend. you will have less sugar cravings when you get the minerals the body needs from sugar cane. good flavour like molasses, brown in colour and has a coarse texture but you'll get used to it quickly.
This is a great sugar, but it’s just as many calories as granulated sugar; so keep an eye on that. I also like their brand of liquid monkfruit sweetener and it’s zero calories! Decently fast shipping.
I really do enjoy Sucanat Sugar. I use it when baking, cooking, or anything with food. You could use it for beverages, but the taste isn't as strong. What I like about this product is that it's organic, and keeps more benefits compared to the sugar sold within stores.
