I have taken zinc in the past and it seemed to help clear up colds and infections, but I generally don't take supplements because I believe it is better to get vitamins and minerals by eating right, and most "recommended" supplements give me bad migraines.I am generally pretty healthy, but had a very bad cold a couple months ago, so I took these to make it go away. I bought this 50mg of zinc to take at the first sign of a cold or other virus. Yesterday evening, I sneezed a few times, so took one of the zinc capsules. Nothing came of the sneezing, but I did feel unusually calm and able to watch tv without my mind thinking about other things. Then, tonight, I again felt a bit sniffly, so took another capsule. An hour later, I was once again feeling very calm, centred and in the moment, in other words zero stress. I usually feel fatigued and anxious. I’m now looking more into zinc and it’s anti-anxiety effects.
