I am very surprised to say this stuff is actually not snake oil for a change, the product genuinely does work and quietens the lifters on my Hyundai Accent nicely. I replaced the valve cover gasket a second time recently and noticed the valve train to be noticeable cleaner, not fresh out of the factory clean but definitely cleaner. This leads me to believe this product is gently cleaning away the varnish build up.
Seems to have made an improvement - haven't started/driven the car enough yet to say for sure, but the last few starts have definitely been quieter. Car used to 'tick' loudly for 5minutes before settling down, which sounded terrible. Much better so far.

The hydraulic lifter was noticibly quiter than before, but the ticking was not completely gone at times unless I ran the engine at around 3600 rpm to force oil into the lifter.For a 18 year old vehicle running on synthetic oil after warranty, the oil that came out really black rather than dark brown and was weirdly thick and sticky on the oil drain. I'm guessing the additive really cleaned varnish/sludge from the engine without thinning the oil like most solvent engine flushes. I am guessing that there might be a ton of oil detergent additive. I wonder if ash generation might be a problem if so. I had to also repair a leaking valve/rocker cover gasket and it was pretty clean inside the engine. Cleaning the valve/rocker cover with solvent, did not dislodge the varnish without mechanical agitation, so "maybe" what could be easily cleaned by the additive, was cleaned.Not sure if I would trust it again for such a long time period running in the engine noting the oil drain oil thickness and stickness, but I am mostly happy with the results. I'll wait until a time near the next service to see if such aggressive cleaning is still required, noting that flushing an engine can cause oil leaks, but faulty lifters can cause valve train damage.
I have worked in the motor industry for 50 years and don't believe in snake oil but this product is well worth a mention. I have a MX5 that had real bad lifter noise and decided to pull them all apart and do the cleaning I thought required only to be disappointed with the continued clicking of bad lifers so I decided to try the snake oil and boy did it work. Went back and bought a stock so I won't have to but it for the next few years.
Great product at great value, lifter ticking disappeared in one use. CAr was jap second hand, would have been parked for a couple of years with really bad condition of engine oil. Worked within 10km of drive, silenting the ticking of what I assume were lifters.
Holden Commodore VY V8 5.7Ltr. owned from 60k kms to 130k kms, around 110k km mark I noticed slight ticking from engine (after some oil changes), typical lifter noise, sometimes progressing to a "nack nack nack" type noise at idle, more noticeable at cold start up, usually not noticeable when driving, just idling.I was recommended this product and tried it, I only put half a bottle in and the noise went away nearly instantly. I then used to add half a bottle after every 2nd oil change or when required. Works great.
