I was given Ursodiol (a chemical cousin of TUDCA) because I didn't want surgery. After a couple of months, the ursodiol started giving me stomach problems. I heard about this product recently and how it helps your body heal and perform better. Read the reviews and thought I would try it. Seems the body produces something similar as we age and have other issues we need more. I feel it has helped and I will keep on using. Most of the reviews mentioned what a horrible taste it has. It does have a taste that is not pleasant but not as bad as I imagined from the reviews.. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do. Since I feel that it is helping I am taking it. I drink it with water on an empty stomach in the morning. I started putting in a cup of water now I take it in half a cup. And chase it with another cup of plain water.

Attached is a photo of 1 gram diluted into water with iodine tincture added. No black/purple color indicates no starches present. TUDCA is not water soluble;e so drinking liquids after swelling this will leave the bitter tase in your mouth and gums. I put it it in my green drink that I add hemp oil to. After I jug it I take a teaspoon of unflavored and unsweetened probiotic yogurt and swish it around my mouth coating my gums then swallow. The bitter taste is gone! I have only taken this for 4 days but had more energy and focus after just the first dose. And intentional pain I was having is gone. I am sleeping more soundly, too. I have MS and this is supposed tp cross the blood brain barrier and help clear out damaged neurons and help create healthy neurons and mitochondria. Studies show it helps ALS, PD, and Alzheimers. Studies are being done with it for MS.

I don't usually write reviews, but just wanted to add this for anyone to beware of the awful taste. I know TUDCA has been well researched and is a great supplement. I try and usually buy bulk powers over capsules as much as possible because the price is usually so much cheaper. this supplement by far is the most awful tasting supplement I've ever had. very strong bitter "chemical" taste that lasts in your mouth for a very long time afterwards. just thought that people should be aware of this, that's the only reason I gave it less than 5 stars.
