They did the trick. We were on one of the most difficult hikes I’ve encountered in over 50 years of off trail backpacking. I still had cramps, but then I’m 72, so expected some. Which is why I purchased them. Drink lots of water. I also purchased a long sleeved T’shirt from REI which helped keep me cooler than cotton and protected my arms from heavy brush (huckleberry plants 8-10’ all growing downhill due to heavy snow load). I came out unscathed, on a three night outing in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness—except for a painful blister and having stepped on a hornet’s ground nest. Great hike though. Great company with my two brothers and my son.

I am almost 70 years of age and recently had my annual physical exam. My bloodwork revealed that I am healthy in everyday except that my electrolytes were low. My primary care physician said that I needed to add electrolytes to my routine. I have been a long distance runner for years and I swear a lot and that was probably one of the reasons for the electrolyte imbalance. I researched different solutions to the problem and wanted something that have too much sugar or other harmful ingredients. Nuun was the one that I chose. I have been taking Nuun Sport+ and Nuun Rest and I am feeling better and my electrolyte levels are normal.

Emergency preparedness is vital when things turn for the worst. I included this in my survival first aid kit to maintain hydration, avoid headaches due to lack of caffeine or heat stroke. When I consider for myself when I hit a wall, run out of steam, ready to pass out experiences it’s time to do something. These symptoms can impair rational thinking. That’s when you need to calm down get hydrated and get back to your normal whatever that may be. Be prepared with the little things that can bring you back safely wherever your destination.Big D
I think I finally found something to keep my energy up when pregnant and soothe the morning sickness. Since I started drinking this product (one serving per day) I no longer have to take 2-hour naps and can function like a regular adult, as opposed to a first-trimester adult who wants to gag at the smell of crayons.I like it because it isn't full of garbage like conventional sports drinks and is high in magnesium and potassium - nutrients my body requires in order for me to make another person's body. These ingredients aren't always found in conventional prenatal vitamins, and it has the added benefit of being a tasty drink instead of a pill that chokes me when I try to swallow it.Thanks, Nuun, for getting me back on my feet.
I had never tried electrolyte tablets until someone recommended Nuun when I mentioned I was getting horrible leg cramps cycling in hot temps. Even though I was drinking water, and some snacks, something just wasn't working for me.I was skeptical they would do much and thought surely I'd find them hard to 'enjoy'.I'm a convert! The taste is great. It is not strong but has a nice citrus taste and a tiny bit of fizz. And I can finally feel comfortable when out for a long ride.
I love Nuun Sport, and have been using it for years now. It's super portable, doesn't waste a ton of plastic like buying big bottles of liquid sports beverages, and doesn't have a ton of artificial ingredients. I use it to rehydrate on runs, and on long day hikes. Strawberry lemonade is my favorite flavor, but the lemon lime is also great. Love that I can just carry a tube with me in my bag. I have a pretty sensitive stomach and there are very few foods/drinks I can tolerate on long runs (even among products designed for runners), but Nuun Sport has never upset my stomach or failed me.

I dilute mine since I like light flavor and it always leaves me refreshed and never upsets my stomach during my workout. It really makes a difference in my performance. I take some nuun the day before my long runs and bring it with me during the run. I started using nuun after naive me tried to run my first half without an electrolyte strategy. Cue terrible leg cramps. I learned my lesson and have been on top of my electrolytes since. I also love to use a Nuun tablet here and there if I had one too many glasses of wine.
