Mixed with soy milk, this shit is just too good. I started with chocolate, which was simply 5+/5. I keep wanting to drink it all day, and I really look forward to finishing the gym session because I know I get to drink it after. I also ordered strawberry and vanilla recently, both of which, WITH MILK, are exceptionally good. I tried the strawberry once with water, and it was pretty bad. Normal whey is better with water. But with milk... Clean Lean Proteins are like having a creamy chocolate/vanilla/strawberry milkshake. All flavors are superb with milk, better than anything I've tried. The consistency is superb. Love them. Oh, and no stomach problems—wohoo!

Following a low FODMAP diet, it's a minefield to find a good vegan protein that doesn't irritate the gut and cause IBS symptoms to flair up, whilst also tracking macros... Amazingly this product seems to be FODMAP safe. Even when I had a serving in my morning smoothie, and another serving after my workout later in the day. No other vegan protein I've tried (and I've tried A LOT) even comes close to this... Love how there are so few ingredients and no synthetic sweeteners, keeps it simple. Yes, the texture is a little chalky however, this is the same as all other vegan proteins - the flavour (vanilla) is fine, it just tastes like vanilla so not sure the reviews are about saying it tastes bad. I have been regularly consuming this brand since they came onto the market. You could get a kilo or a half for half the prices they are right now. I enjoyed the vanilla flavour the most as the aroma was super-strong, but the strawberry scent is not as potent and the pea flavour overpowers. I used to like the sweetener they use as it was Thaumatin and I also like how smooth the texture is when blended. The ingredients have recently changed and I will not be buying again. The sweetener is now Stevia and there is not even a hint of vanilla scent about a week after opening the tub. It doesn't even mix as well. It is plain awful tbh.

However, Nuzest recently changed the ingredients (without any announcement on social media or their website) and now it tastes revolting. Why ruin an amazing product? Why change something that doesn't need changing? It used to taste creamy chocolatey and a little sweet. Perfect. Now it just tastes really strongly like stevia with extra bitterness added. Put cocoa or chocolate with stevia and you get a horrid bitter taste and aftertaste which ruins what you are trying to make. I am so disappointed. It's also annoying that they didn't announce it, so I didn't know about the change and I recently ordered two 1 kg packages which I now have to try to stomach every day, and now I have to find a new protein powder. Nuzest, please consider switching back to your old recipe, at least for the chocolate flavour. Stevia is an acquired taste anyway, and when paired with cocoa is just a big no no.
I like the ease ! Put the powder in the shaker , add water, shake, maybe dance, pretend to be a bartender (unless maybe you are a bartender) and then enjoy. I like the flavour and the fact that the sweetener is stevia and not some weird chemical lab made sweetener. Stevia is natural and just much sweeter than sugar. I like the matcha vanilla flavour too. And that there are other options in flavours than the usual Vanilla, chocolate , strawberry. And love the fact there is so much protein even if plant based shake ! Love it ! Keeps me full for about 3 hours (for anyone thinking of going lower on carbs).
I've found Nuzest protein powders to be easy to use, tasty and easy to digest. I use them to supplement my diet, as a keen runner and a vegetarian, I find my body demanding more protein than I might get from my regular, but healthy, diet. I also use protein supplements to overcome muscle fatigue when participating in endurance events. Whilst I'm not vegan myself, if I can avoid unnecessary diary, I will, and the Nuzest range ticks this box for me too. The chocolate flavour is probably my favourite from the regular range. Usually mix it with some of their Good Green Stuff to get my nutrient boost as well. Delivered next day by Express too.
I've been using NuZest for the last 3 years, and was by far my go-to protein; within that time it had a great taste, good grade protein and low carb, no sugar. I used to regularly recommend it. This order was incredibly disappointing. Opened the 1Kg tub (had to go round the seal with a knife as the removable strip doesn't perforate all the plastic) and I was hit by a very different smell than I was familiar with. The taste was metallic and bitter with a very unpleasant after-taste. Had a google to why the change was so drastic - they've changed their formula, replacing Thaumatin (Katemfe extract) for Stevia. Such a shame as it was my staple for so long, but now pretty much undrinkable and the price tag is no longer justified.
I love this chocolate protein! It has helped me so much with maintaining my weight and not even just that I enjoyed making so many different low carb keto friendly meals and it’s been great having to be able to make a variety of things! as it is I am a chocolate lover so therefore, I am so thankful that their is a clean product out there for us that suffer with food allergies and food sensitivities. I’m thankful for a product that I know that has top quality ingredients! I’m glad that you all created a gut super friendly product that I can consume or others because, their is so many other ones that are filled with all kinds of junk and not this one! Tastes delicious and is healthy - I was looking for a healthier protein powder than my usual one, but it had to taste great. This is it! Gave 3 stars for “results” because it’s too soon to tell. My biggest complaint is the 40-serving tub it comes in: 1) difficult to open for the first time (the thing that seals it was a nightmare); 2) the tub is so large I can’t hold it with one hand while trying to twist the lid off/on - there’s no indentation to provide a better grip or no ridges or anything to provide any friction - the tub just slides in my grip as I try to twist the lid; 3) when I get toward the bottom of the tub I’m not sure it will be wide enough to accommodate my hand grasping the scoop. Redesign the tub (or change to a resealable bag) and it would be 5 stars 😊
Hmm. Not sure what to say about this. Tried it tonight. The good thing is its very smooth - no grittiness at all. It's also far too sweet for my taste and leaves a sweet taste in your mouth for ages, which I don't like. I bought it to get some extra protein and wanted the vanilla flavour because I planned to mix with a teaspoon of spirulina. So I didn't drink it straight and my review might be slightly unfair because of that. My recipe was 2 scoops powder, 1 tsp spirulina, 1 banana, good pinch of nutmeg and cinnamon, one and half cups of water. It was drinkable and will do the job of increasing my protein intake and giving me some spirulina every day. Very smooth. It's a drink I really look forward to each day rather than drink cos I think it does me good - recipe = one scoop vegolife berry flavour (did I say I've been using it for three years now? It's so yum), 1 banana, 2 cups water, pinch nutmeg and cinnamon, tablespoon smooth peanut butter. Try it! (ps I don't know anyone in the company! I discovered it after trying all the recommended brands. Non so good!!
