NYX Professional Makeup Marshmellow Setting Spray

I'm usually and Urban Decay setting spray type of girl, I work all day and party all night so my standards for setting spray are very high. However when i was sent this for a review i was quite hopeful! I love NYX cosmetics and absolutely adore their marshmallow line. So its very exciting to me that they've come out with a marshmallow setting spray. First i want to say the scent is absolutely AMAZING! If you're familiar with their marshmallow primer you know how delicious it smells, this setting spray has the same yummy scent. For the price, its amazing! ALSO.. WOW it makes your makeup look unreal!! most setting sprays make me look greasy and oily even after its dried down resulting in having to reapply powder as soon as it dries, but this spray gives SUCH a beautiful glow!!! it actually makes your makeup look so much better. It's almost like a setting spray + finishing spray at once. I absolutely love it, i will be getting a new one when it runs out. My new favorite!

When NYX came out with this new setting spray I already was using their one that was out at the time and loved it so I didn't think it could be topped but boy was I wrong because this one is amazing. It left a matte finish without looking too one-dimensional on the skin and it helped my makeup stay put for 12+ hours . As for the blurring and smoothing claims, from my experience, I would say there was a little bit of that, but it wasn’t the main thing I noticed about the formula. Overall, I will be reaching for this throughout the holiday season because it worked well and I received a record number of compliments about how good I smelled. So if you’re looking for a sweet scented treat to add to your make up routine and you enjoy a matte-finish, this affordable drugstore make up brand has successfully created an accessible setting spray that works well. I’d definitely say if you don’t mind the super sweet smell it’s a setting spray I would reach for on a regular basis, especially during the holiday season if you are going to be around a lot of people at a holiday party or hanging out with your crush to add an unexpected sweet twist to your routine.

I was happy to test out this setting spray. I don’t know if I noticed much of a difference to be honest. The scent definitely smells like marshmallows though. When I first spray this it smells strongly like marshmallows, but once it is on my skin I don’t smell anything. The bottle has a pump spray. So far the pump has sprayed easily and not gotten sticky or anything. I would describe it as more than a mist but less than a wet feeling. It is the new staple in my makeup routine. This is a fantastic product for women who drag (this is right up there with hairspray), busy working women, SAH mothers, influencers, strippers, and any woman who powerhouses through the day, every day, and need their make up to slay!

I received the NYX professional makeup brands new setting spray named The Marshmallow Setting Spray. This has the best scent. It’s a marshmallow cream scent. The spray bottle sprays a bit heavier so you need to use it a few inches away from your face. It works amazingly for oily skin. This is a matte finish and it helps prevent less shine throughout the day or night. This also does not leave spray marks or residue spots when applied. It absorbs perfectly into your makeup. This is meant to be sprayed over your makeup but it also works as a primer spray. The bottle is a cute pink. I would prefer a lighter mist spray but used correctly this is a great setting spray if you like matte finish or have oily skin. Recommended for all skin types!

I have a combination skin type so I have to make sure any setting spray I use will withstand my dryness/oiliness depending on the weather outside. I noticed right away that this spray has an amazing sweet scent to it, this is why I gave it 3 stars. As far as the staying power, it didnt do much for me. I tested it on my arm before even applying it to my face. I used a lip/eye shadow stick and a liquid eyeliner side by side in my comparison. I noticed that the spray did make the eyeliner look darker after I applied it but they smeared just same, with and without setting spray.
