The Oakley Flight Jacket Prizm are cycling glasses designed from an aerodynamic point of view and, thanks to its fantastic features, are the ultimate in cycling glasses. Where they had already taken an enormous step forward with the Jawbreaker with an enlarged visual field, Oakley has improved this once again with these Flight Jacket glasses. Because these cycling glasses have an 'open' top, an even larger visual field that has been ever created. This Flight Jacket also has better ventilation thanks to the special Advancer. This is a lever on the nosepiece that you can easily push forward or backwards, releasing new airflows for better cooling. This is very nice when you are climbing, for example. This gives you the advantages of real cycling glasses, but it's not so close to your face that there's sweat on the lens. Also included with these pair of glasses are 2 different lengths of earpieces so it will always fit on your head. In short, are you looking for glasses that are really great, because of their unique characteristics? Then this Oakley Flight jacket Prizm are the cycling glasses for you!

I got these a month ago and I initially thought they looked ridiculous but needed a new pair of cycling glasses and wanted the best. I was willing to try them out and couldn't have been happier after the first ride and every ride after. The clarity is amazing, they block the wind really well (I wear contacts, so this is important for me) and they are comfortable. I used them on a 70 mile bike ride recently and I was impressed that I was never unhappy with the fit (ie. no temple pain or anything) and that not a single bead of sweat got onto the lenses. If there is one thing that bothers me more is having a clean pair of shades only to get sweat on them. I have absolutely loved these shades!!!I will say that although the pivot aspect of the nose piece is cool in ... MoreI got these a month ago and I initially thought they looked ridiculous but needed a new pair of cycling glasses and wanted the best. I have used the Jawbreakers for a few years now and love them for mountain biking. I have the mountain bike and road bike lenses and typically use the mountain bike lens because they are so go in low light and still do well with the sun. The glasses have great coverage and keep any dirt, mud, water out of the eyes. Lens are very clear and have great coverage, but they are Oakley lenses, which are some of the best in the market but scratch easily. The glasses cover the full face and have a really good fit with adjustable arms. Lens swap system is easy and holds lens in securely. The frames are light weight and don't have the feel of much dexterity, but I have battle tested these and have had no issues with broken parts. They have great ventilation and don't fog up at ... MoreI have used the Jawbreakers for a few years now and love them for mountain biking. I would highly recommend for Mountain Biking as the best on the market.I have recently started using for splitboarding with mixed results. When climbing, they fog up because you aren't going fast enough for the air to flow and clear the fog. That is true with all sunglasses I have tried though, as when sweat gets on the lens in cold weather, fog in inevitable. I still use these for skinning as the best option if have found. I have tried on the downhill a few times but when it's cold, the airflow freezes the eyes a bit so they are a no-go. These aren't intended for snow sports but just though I would share my experience.

Love these glasses, this is my second pair! I have both the trail and road lenses and love them both! I use them for cycling and appreciate the thoughtful design, especially that the lens are frameless at the top. As a cyclist this provides for and unobstructed view while head down and eyes up to the road. Another lovely feature is the ability to advance and vent the lens. This allows for ample air flow between your face and lens eliminating fogging. Oh and did I mention that they’re stylish! Edit: another feature that I didn’t think of much at first, but totally appreciate now is, the alternate sized arms that are included. There is a nominal difference in length maybe 5-7mm, but I did find the shorter arms to be a better fit for me.Bought them twice in a matter ... MoreLove these glasses, this is my second pair! I bought just last week, and being that I have a smaller head I ordered due to the fact they are suppose to come with a different set of temples. Unfortunately, I did not receive so they are a little too big. Otherwise, lens and advancer system are your typical high Oakley quality. Perfect for wearing with MTB helmet.
Just got these and they are really nice, lightweight, look cool and function great! You can adjust the arms in three lengths to fit any head type. Also came with a smaller nose piece to further fine tune the glasses. The locking design is really smart and probably the nicest paid of Oakley's I own (this is my ninth pair).
I've always had trouble with sunglasses fitting me properly and fouling on helmet retention systems. The flight jackets's switchable ear pieces mean this is no longer the case: I can comfortably wear them over straps (pro!) without feeling as though they are going to fall off my face when going hard. The "unobtanium" rubber on the ear and nose pieces help with this too, not slipping at all when sweating. The prizm lens is as expected from previous glasses - very clear, no discernible distortion and clever light filtering makes potholes and other obstacles easy to pick out. The minimal frame means your view isn't obstructed, even when your head is down, grovelling. To be honest, I didn't think this was an issue I experienced with other glasses, but after using these, my eyes were opened. The advancer system does feel kind of gimmicky, however. Even when fogged up, I don't think flipping the switch actually made any difference. Since the first couple of rides, I've forgotten it is even there.
This is my first pair of high quality cycling sunglasses, and so far (after a few rides) they seem well worth the price (especially if you can nab them on sale). The Jade Prizm Road lens is excellent -- major upgrade from the lens in my previous dhb glasses. So far I've only used them on winter rides in NYC with relatively low sunlight, and I'm not finding them too dark for those conditions (though the regular Prizm Road lens would probably be even better for this time of year). I haven't been using the advancer feature too often yet; but even though it seems a bit gimmicky, I'm finding that it does actually decrease fogging as advertised. Overall, I'm happy that I splurged on these!
First, the price is unbelievable for a pair of glasses with such high regards and popularity. I have been wanting a pair of Oakley’s for year’s now. They came across my phone screen via Instagram and I couldn’t believe the price. They fit my slim face extremely well and don’t feel TOO BIG around my eyes. I love the style and colorful nature that they have, as I am someone who is inspired my Japanese Culture I knew these were the ones for me.
I started using Oakley's as a cyclist in 2005. As of this morning, I have ridden over 125,000 miles on bike. I live in Arizona. I need sunglasses. Badly. I've owned pretty much every style Oakley has made. I saw the new Flight Jackets and despite some hesitation ordered a pair. They are simply the best glasses I've ever ridden in. Why? No top frame and wide stance makes for an incredible field of vision. The nose-piece hinge seemed gimmicky to me in the promo video, but having used it on some 8-11% hard climbs at altitude, it really works and is very useful. They fit under helmets, my rear-view mirror attaches just fine (I was worried by the pictures at first), the Prizm lens makes it easier to see road debris---they are well worth the investment. The two big features of these glasses are the bottom based frame and the flip forward lense for venting. I do the triathlon thing but as I don't really have a neck sowhen I'm tucked down in the aero bars, I then have to lift my eyes to look up. Getting rid of the top rail of the glasses eliminate this problem but the lens is big enough there to still gives your eyes shielding. The venting is huge as when you set up your gear at 5 in the morning, your temperature has gone up from the swim and the transition run but your glasses have stayed about the same. The second you put them on they fog. With these the venting allows that space for the temperatures to even out. You then simply push the lens back in. Genius
