Disappointment overall in the lenses in regards to quality. They just seem cheap, easily breakable. The lenses arent complete tungsten copper color where it will block your eyes from being seen by other people. Shipping is a joke with DhL who will just transfer it to USPS after sitting on it. Oakley packages your glasses without giving a hoot. Just throw the glasses in an oversized box with no packing peanuts or even paper. Let em bounce around in there, that’s why you pay so much money right.

Ordered the prescription Holbrook XL sunglasses, with Jade prizm lenses. Overall I’m happy with them, the only thing that I am not satisfied with, is the lack of customization and color options for prescription users. What I really wanted were the shallow water lenses in my prescription, but after a phone call and some online scrounging I discovered that they weren’t available. Jade is the next best for the look I was going for and I am very happy with them, just wish Oakley would offer more!

This particular style of Holbrook has beautiful aesthetics. I love the blue polarized/prism lense with this style of Holbrook. A nice variation of camo and black. Overall, beautiful design. My reason for four stars is comfort. The temples (arms) have a tight fit as they hug back of your ears. Slight irritation and pressure as the temples sit on the middle area of your ears near the temple tips. The temples feel as if they have serrated edges as they sit on the area. Slightly heavy. Looks like I'll need to get these adjusted or a pair of different temples all together. I ordered the regular size, not XL. Most people fit the regular size you just need adjusted temples. Just FYI for everyone.

They suggested another Oakley frame and charged me the difference. Unfortunately they did not fit my face so I had to send them back to. Finally I asked them to send me a pair of Oakley Holbrook since I already had a pair of those for a few years and I knew they fit well. For some reason the lenses are really thick and they make the glasses heavy on my face, always sliding down my nose and making them very uncomfortable . I don’t understand this because I have a pair of Ray bands with the same prescription and the lenses are very thin and light. These Holbrooks look so much better in person then the website. From the matte black to green fade frames, these have become one of my favorite pairs of Oakley’s. The jade green prizm lens cut the unwanted glare while boosting the colors giving you extra depth and range. A really nice feature are the Oakley icons that look to be carbon fiber in a stainless steel type of finish.
they are pretty good sunglasses, Have a good color enhancement. Good polarization. light, you can wear them all day and no headache or scratchy nose. Only bad thing is that they scratch easily. I only have them for one week and they got scratch. I didn’t drop them or bump into something. they got scratch cleaning them. It was with a microfiber especially for cleaning glasses, and they got scratch. That is my only complain until now.
Bought these after buying clear framed Frogskins with purple lenses. These also have a versatile and classic shape but are more edgy than a standard black frame, which are fairly commoditised. That said, these still retain some class / chic as they have a subtle tortoise / camouflage look. The polarised lenses are a step up from the Frogskins, particularly when driving or playing tennis (cuts out most of the glare). All in all, a worthwhile investment even given the price tag!
The quality is there. Tint level is what you'd expect. If you have a stronger rx, you need to know that the frames leave the lenses at a slight angle so you are not looking through them perfectly straight. This results in a less than perfect picture. This is a non issue though as I don't really expect Oakley to make special lenses just for me. People with those "special eyes" should take that into consideration though! Great product worth the cash stack. I will definitely come back for more if need be.
I bought the all black Holbrooks with black polarized prizm lenses about two months ago. I never write reviews but I have to for these. There's only been a few sunny days where I've been able to wear the sunglasses and they're amazing. The colors come through vibrantly and lenses cut out glare. It's almost like they're telling your eyes to see better. I feel like normal sunglasses just make everything darker, these block out sun while still providing unmatched vibrance and visibility. It's a hefty price tag, but they're great for driving, fishing, or everyday wear. If you have the money to invest in a quality pair of sunglasses, you won't be disappointed.
