Disappointment overall in the lenses in regards to quality. They just seem cheap, easily breakable. The lenses arent complete tungsten copper color where it will block your eyes from being seen by other people. Shipping is a joke with DhL who will just transfer it to USPS after sitting on it. Oakley packages your glasses without giving a hoot. Just throw the glasses in an oversized box with no packing peanuts or even paper. Let em bounce around in there, that’s why you pay so much money right.

Another all around great pair of sunglasses from Oakley that I really want to love. They fit great under a baseball hat. Lenses are great. Leash is handy. I spend a lot of time on the water and have donated quite a few expensive pairs of glasses to the deep so I was specifically sold with the integrated leash on the Split Shot. I love the Split Shots in theory but I don't totally love them in practice. I do really like them as friends though.

The lenses are top-quality as usual in my 20+ years of experience with Oakley sunglasses. In addition, the frame is light and comfortable.However, this model has unacceptable design flaws for a product in this price range.One, the rubber nosepad came off and was lost after less than a week of wear. I was sailing offshore and not able to replace the nosepad for several weeks. The way the nosepad attaches to the frame by slipping over tiny plastic cleats is far from reliable. I see online that many other people have also had the nosepad come off their glasses.Two, the leash developed large rust spots, also in less than a week of use while sailing. A product advertised as "the ultimate eyewear for the waterman" should be more resistant to saltwater.
This particular style of Holbrook has beautiful aesthetics. I love the blue polarized/prism lense with this style of Holbrook. A nice variation of camo and black. Overall, beautiful design. My reason for four stars is comfort. The temples (arms) have a tight fit as they hug back of your ears. Slight irritation and pressure as the temples sit on the middle area of your ears near the temple tips. The temples feel as if they have serrated edges as they sit on the area. Slightly heavy. Looks like I'll need to get these adjusted or a pair of different temples all together. I ordered the regular size, not XL. Most people fit the regular size you just need adjusted temples. Just FYI for everyone.
The Holbrooks I ordered, turtle black matte with Sapphire Prizm Polarized, arrived ahead of delivery date. I took them out of the sale box, kept them in their microbag and put them immediately in a soft case, in the car for the next day's driving. The next day when I went to run my errands I opened the frames and just looked over them and saw a white scuff along the bottom of the frame around the left lens. I wore them for the day as it was very sunny, and decided I just spent over $150 on these and they should not arrive scuffed. Not sure if the scuff occurred before the sunglasses were put in the box, or if they were previously returned scuffed and then re-sold to me (which would be awful sales practice and QC). I own a pair of Costa Rincon with the 580p deep water blue lenses that I absolutely love. My new go to sunglasses are these Holebrook XL’s for my daily use. Man! The prizm P deep water lenses are amazing and have a crisp pop on color. The fit is perfect for large faces and big heads. I highly recommend both the Costa Rincon and The Holebrook XL put I have to say my new favorites are the Oakley’s.
they are pretty good sunglasses, Have a good color enhancement. Good polarization. light, you can wear them all day and no headache or scratchy nose. Only bad thing is that they scratch easily. I only have them for one week and they got scratch. I didn’t drop them or bump into something. they got scratch cleaning them. It was with a microfiber especially for cleaning glasses, and they got scratch. That is my only complain until now.

I bought the all black Holbrooks with black polarized prizm lenses about two months ago. I never write reviews but I have to for these. There's only been a few sunny days where I've been able to wear the sunglasses and they're amazing. The colors come through vibrantly and lenses cut out glare. It's almost like they're telling your eyes to see better. I feel like normal sunglasses just make everything darker, these block out sun while still providing unmatched vibrance and visibility. It's a hefty price tag, but they're great for driving, fishing, or everyday wear. If you have the money to invest in a quality pair of sunglasses, you won't be disappointed.
