I am a big fan of Oakley. They have beautiful shades for man and women. I own sunglasses from them and my husband also have one from Oakley. These polarized Sunglasses 009290 31 jawbreaker are so sporty and good looking on anyone. We recently saw them in store and they look so cool. We own few other black brown sunglasses but this time we wanted something different and these were perfect. They look so different than usual sunglasses and so good. Quality is perfect and well made. Highly recommended.

I already had a pair of Oakley Kato sunglasses that I love for riding, but needed something that was more versatile when it wasn't bright and sunny out. I've been eying up these Jawbreakers with the clear-to-black iridium lenses for some time. I finally pulled the trigger when they were reduced by Oakley and haven' been disappointed since. They fit fantastically and have not needed any adjustments with any of my three helmets. The color changing is amazing and they work super well in bright/hazy conditions. My riding takes me into a lot of shady areas and the lenses lighten super quick. Oakley produces consistently good sunglasses and these Jawbreakers live up to the hype.

I have used the Jawbreakers for a few years now and love them for mountain biking. I have the mountain bike and road bike lenses and typically use the mountain bike lens because they are so go in low light and still do well with the sun. The glasses have great coverage and keep any dirt, mud, water out of the eyes. Lens are very clear and have great coverage, but they are Oakley lenses, which are some of the best in the market but scratch easily. The glasses cover the full face and have a really good fit with adjustable arms. Lens swap system is easy and holds lens in securely. The frames are light weight and don't have the feel of much dexterity, but I have battle tested these and have had no issues with broken parts. They have great ventilation and don't fog up at all when on the move. I would highly recommend for Mountain Biking as the best on the market.I have recently started using for splitboarding with mixed results. When climbing, they fog up because you aren't going fast enough for the air to flow and clear the fog. That is true with all sunglasses I have tried though, as when sweat gets on the lens in cold weather, fog in inevitable. I still use these for skinning as the best option if have found. I have tried on the downhill a few times but when it's cold, the airflow freezes the eyes a bit so they are a no-go. These aren't intended for snow sports but just though I would share my experience.

I purchased these glasses for the 2018 holiday. I've been using them on mostly road rides. The frames are good for most rides, but can feel tight on longer rides. The lens has a tendency to fog up on humid days. In May of this year I was removing the lens to clean and the metal clip that holds the frame together fell off. Looking over the clip it appears the metal fatigued or corroded and became so brittle that the cross member broke off.I contacted Oakely/Luxocitta about warranty for the part or to get a replacement part. The first response that I received was that my two year warranty had expired and they would offer me a discounted price on an entire new pair. The first response that I received was that my two year warranty had expired and they would offer me a discounted price on an entire new pair. I explained that I purchased the glasses in November 2018 from Oakely.com and the rest of the frame was in good working order. No response. I took the glasses into my local Oakley store. They told me they can't sell me the part and I would have to submit a claim to Oakley/Luxocitta. I contacted Oakley/Luxocitta again about the warranty and was met with the same response, that the two year warranty has expired. I've included the order number and copies of the receipt and still receive the email that the two year warranty has expired. I've submitted a third warranty claim and have not received a response.I've tried to purchase the clip but it is not a part that can be purchased on the Oakley website. At this point the glasses are unrepairable because I canāt get the part to fix my glasses from the manufacturer or my local store and the warranty department canāt do math. The glasses rely on the clip to hold the lens in place and without it they are unusable. Iāve owned two other pairs of Oakley glasses before these and never had any issues with them. This pair will be my last purchase from Oakley and Iād strongly encourage anyone to purchase glasses elsewhere.
The Jawbreaker has been on my list of glasses I'd like for a long time. When they went on sale with the Trail Prizm lens, they were too hard to pass up. The lens is great for any light condition, and as you transition from open, bright conditions to tree cover and shadows, it does a great job of providing the contrast needed. In very bright conditions, the lens could be a bit darker, but as a compromise, it is outstanding. The one issue I have is with fogging. Here in Florida if the lens is cooler than the heat escaping from your eyes and face, then everything fogs. It happens only when stopped. After getting underway, the lens clears within a couple of seconds, which is much better than the Turbine Rotor I also have. Overall, very happy with the frame and lens. One of the most comfortable glasses I have ever worn. Fits great under my Oakley DRT5 helmet as well as my Troy Lee A1 MIPS.
Excellent glasses and fantastic colour representation whilst on road - spotting potholes and other dangers is perfect.Zero slippage and very comfortable to wear all day in the saddle. Adjustable arms (3 different positions) to help with fit whilst wearing helmet.Very good performance with steaming/ misting up - little bit occurs when stopped but soon cleared when moving thanks to the vent holes. I suffer from dry eyes and these vents do not make this worse.Case is great for storage.Iāve not tried them off-road and there are ātrailā lenses available likewise low light ones but can be costly but you get a quality product with Oakley.Only downside I have is that - the side logos impact the vision slightly when you first wear them but I never notice it anymoe.
I tried these after having tried the Radar EV path frame for trail running. After having tried both I prefer the jawbreaker frame. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Radar ev path frame, but due to my personal preference of a full frame the jawbreaker wins. The nose pads keep the frame in place even with heavy perspiration which is great when you're running. Frames are comfortable and I barely feel them while they are on. The full frame blocks light leak from below which is why I prefer these over Radar ev path. I bought these with the prizm trail torch and the clarity in and out of the woods is great, not too dark like some other glasses I have tried. My only wish for these is to have the prizm golf lens available. Many people tend to consider these mostly ...Ā MoreI tried these after having tried the Radar EV path frame for trail running. These work well in all weather conditions and so are great for our changeable climate here in the UK. The lense quality is superb and the face fit is excellent - For me, there's no movement at all, no matter how fast and rough the ride gets. I've dropped a star because the ventilation isn't quite as good as it could be, which means it can get hot and steamy around those tired eyes on longer, harder rides.
Great looking sunglasses with nice wind protection on the road rides. My only issue with Oakley is the lens quality and their poor warranty. My Prism lenses (and my wifeās polarized) started to look āpittedā in less than two years. Also after a little while longer they started to fail even more to a point where theyāre totally useless. I contacted them when Iāve started to see this issue but wonāt take care of it. I guess Iām used to a better customer service for sunglasses since they are many that offer lifetime warranty and they go above and beyond trying to make you happy just to use their product. After I spent almost $500 for two pair of sunglasses from them, I was expecting to be treated better. Silly me⦠Needless to say that was the last time I bought ...Ā MoreGreat looking sunglasses with nice wind protection on the road rides. Oakley Jawbreaker glasses shouldn't need an introduction as they're in my view one of the best wearable optic brands out there. My original pair of prism lenses are excellent providing good contrast, optically distortion free. The jawbreakers are comfortable to the point of not noticing I have them on and very good for not fogging up. I liked the glasses enough to invest in a photo chromatic replacement lens for evening rides starting out in the evening sunshine that would transition to clear as the light drops. Sigma Sports were offering jawbreaker glasses with photo chromatic for not much more than a replacement. At first I was a little dissapointed the chromatic lens didn't go as dark as I had anticipated, however I soon realised that they were dark enough ...Ā MoreOakley Jawbreaker glasses shouldn't need an introduction as they're in my view one of the best wearable optic brands out there. At first I was a little dissapointed the chromatic lens didn't go as dark as I had anticipated, however I soon realised that they were dark enough because for mid/late afternoon lighit I forgot I was wearing them. I think for midday sun the normal road prism lens is better but these come into their own by mid afternoon through to night rides. To sum up for very strong through to overcast light the road prisms excel, for bright through to night rides the photochromic excel. There is a cross over were either lens wouldn't see you wrong and both offer the same quality in optics.
