This was to replace an older version that had been operating for over 10 years so I was familiar with the quality of the product. It is well constructed and effective. It is very good value for the money.

My long running and faithful Aquaforce 8000 eventually started to cause all kinds of problems, and so after speaking with Jack I followed his advice and went for the Eco 8500. A good move. The only thing that I wish Aquaforce would do is make it possible to lift the pump out of the water by fitting some kind of central weighted handle on top of the case. As with the 8000 I overcame the problem of the silt pouring back into the pond when lifting out, by placing a strong wire hoop through the grill case holes, and this allows me to then fish it out with a hook end pole.

was looking at this and the Hozelock, but the extra warranty with this swung it for me. Have had it a while now and no problems so far.
It’s shocking should be 8500 litres a minute I’m lucky if it does 20 litres
