My vehicle is a 2017 Chevrolet Colorado 4x4. The vehicle had stock Goodyears that wore out at 62000km so I got a set of these Grabber ats. They are great both on and off road. Ive been on sand, mud and snow these tires are amazing. Ive gone through mud that was up to the Fram and the tires pulled through, and I've been through really deep snow. These aren't even a true winter tire but they perform amazing I also rotate them with every oil change. Currently have 52,000 km and they still have over 40% tread.

I am very happy with my new tires, my SUV is more stable than ever. Best deal on the internet, high-quality, very reliable and with superb traction under any weather conditions from well known brand, for what else you can wish.

I wanted to wait for a year to see how well these tires would do before writing this review. I did alot of research on the type of tire I was looking for before buying, I was looking for an aggressive tire but not a full blown off road tire. Some of the types of tires I considered were BFG All Terrain T/A KO, Goodyear Wrangler AT/S, Bridgestone Dueler A/T. All good tires, but one tire kept coming up highly rated in the research I did. In practically every tire site I researched where tires were reviewed by the people that bought them, the General Grabber AT/2 was the highest or in the top 3 of all similar tires. I still was not quite sure though because I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". In practically every tire site I researched where tires were reviewed by the people that bought them, the General Grabber AT/2 was the highest or in the top 3 of all similar tires. I still was not quite sure though because I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". CT put these tires on sale last year at about this time, so I decided to give them a try. Well after one year and nearly 40,000 kms these tires have totally surprised me. They still have more than half the original tread depth and I don't baby them either (I do rotate them every 10,000 km). They are great in snow, tons of traction. On ice they are fairly good but they are not ice tires, specific ice tires are much more expensive and don't last nearly as long. In mud they are good as well, considering they are not a full mud tire, the lugs will pack up with mud easily but with the sidewall lugs you never completely lose traction. They are very durable and can handle the off road harshness. The price of these tires was less than half the price of the other tires I considered and after this past year and all the mileage I put them through they have proved to be an exception to the "you get what you pay for" rule.I will definitely buy these tires again.
I own a 2016 Honda Odyssey Elite and never liked the Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires that came with the vehicle brand new. While the tires were quiet and comfortable, they were awful when it came to traction and handling. When a situation arose that needed instant acceleration to prevent an accident, the wheels would skip badly....the tires couldn't grip the pavement...same with braking. The treadlife was also awful. I have 27,000 miles on the van and had to replace the Primacy tires. I decided to try the Defender T+H because they were very similar to the Defender LTX M/S which is what we have on our Honda Ridgeline pickup. After having the new Defenders put on my van, I decided to put them through some rigorous road testing....they passed with flying colors! Traction was amazing! The tires have improved the ride considerably. They feel firm, solid, and stable...I now feel comfortable going on long distance highway trips with the Defender T+H tires. I highly recommend this tire for anyone who owns an Odyssey minivan!!!
I purchased these tires and had them installed at an authorized provider. I was told that the authorized provider should offer any warranties including hazard warranty. The tires were installed and I was then informed they only offer these warranties if the tires are purchased directly form them. I also was told I needed an alignment and some other additional fees for lifetime balancing and rotation.I then purchased new tires from BJ's. They include everything and installation as well. I called Tirebuyer to start the return process. it was nice of them to not make me bring the tires back to the authorized installer. they set up to pick up the tires from my house via FedEx. However, the first time I called to start the process, prior to having my new tires installed, they never told me that I had to fill out a warranty form and have copies of the original install receipt and the new tire install receipt. I found this out when I called back to set the date for pickup, which they offered next day and I chose that because I would be home. The tires were picked up on 12/20. I confirmed they were delivered 12/26. I was told I would receive a refund once they received the tires and checked them out. Today, January 2nd I called to check the status. They told me they would put in the claim for refund and then started the process of the refund. When I asked why this was not done automatically I was told refunds are done manually. Therefore, had i not called to check it then the refund process would not have been started. I think in today's day and age that is a little ridiculous and outdated. I hope they work on this.On a positive note, customer service was always very polite and helpful. There were never any hassles. I drove the car approx 250 miles on the tires i returned and had no issues returning them because I used an authorized installer.I have no issues recommending using tirebuyer. However, make sure to ask all applicable questions up front.
I have a 2009 Tacoma and I just replaced my older Defenders 225/65-16 ,(which I believe were the Defender LTX M/S) with these T+H . Man I feel every bump and flaw in the road now. I'm going back and getting a different tire. I was very happy with the older set they did ride a little rough but nothing like these. I don't if its the higher speed rating (thicker side wall) or the new tread compound but man they are rough. Totally unacceptable...
I bought 4 of these tires as replacements for LT265/75/16 BFG TKOs on my 2003 Chevy Avalanche 1500. I do not tow and 99 percent of my driving is on-road with some travel on gravel mountain roads for hunting and fishing. I am totally disappointed that after just over 47,000 km of usage my tread depth is down to 3/32s on all 4 corners. Tires have been rotated at every other oil change and balanced as required. When new these tires performed wonderfully especially in deep snow and sub zero temps, however I would now not trust them to get me through a rain storm. Since General does not offer any sort of road hazard or tread wear warranty on LT tires I will be going back to BFG for my next set of tires.
I've owned many brands - from Pirelli to Michelin to Yokohamas, etc, and these Contis are the most reliable, best overall traction, relatively quiet tires I have ever owned. Bought a set for my Santa Fe in January, immediately drove down the entire coast of USA and the entire Baja to Cabo San Lucas, in all types of weather from snow on up and these performed without a hitch, including driving through some epic potholes in the Baja. I then drove back to Vancouver, and a month later drove across the country to Prince Edward Island, and back - again - absolutely no issues - a beautiful ride in the rain, beautiful ride in the heat of midsummer. Bought a set for my Volvo C30 - a pretty high performance car - again - a very confident ride. got these tires for 3 months now for my 2011 nissan frontier, road noise 15% more than regular road tires. comfort is the same, winter performance is owesome with lots of grip. although i have not tried off road yet. Fuel consumption probably 5% less efficient than highway tires.*NO complaints EXCEPT- reason for not giving a perfect score 4/5 stars is because I had vibrations felt running at high speeds approx 100 km/hr. After doing more research online, found out that I had to bring the vehicle again to a special tire shop that has an expensive machine so called "ROAD FORCE BALANCE". price is more expensive but worth every penny. Vibrations gone after balance was done.PS: Not all shops have this machine..
