The product itself is amazing quality.Steel thickness, welding and all is worth the money you send of it.For my Hark Chubby Smoker it is a little tall. Actually it is 50% too tall and causes the fire to vent directly vertical into the roof of the firebox over heating the steel.Easy fix is to use a grinder with cutting wheel and cut in half, now it is perfect!! and you have 2 for when one rusts out.

Nice solid 2mm stainless steel welded together well.Helps retain and stabilize temperatures from the charcoal pit to the cooking chamber and use less fuel for the cooking time overall.

This charcoal basket works really well; make sure you it fill it 3/4 full of (unlit) charcoal then add a chimney of lit charcoal to the top with a few small chunks of your favourite wood and allow it to burn down over time. I add small pieces of wood often rather than big pieces with my air vents at 3/4 open; doing this prevents heat spikes and will give you even temps and clean thin smoke.

Brilliant for when using charcoal
works an absolute treat with heat beads and lump charcoal.
Highly recommended if you are using a stick burner, gives very consistant results.
I love how it makes fire management so much easier, by keeping everything contained.
This unit makes the job much easier than the normal chasing coals around the fire grate of your offset smoker. Easy to clean just brush the ash away or rinse under the hose & its ready to put away till next time. I could not imagine using my smoker without one of these baskets again. Well worth purchasing you won't be sorry you did.
