I just bought and tried these nacho taco shells for the very fist time. They were on sale at my local grocery store and looked interesting, so I thought why not. I warmed them up in the oven at 325 degrees. They look so good sizzling in the heat. When I took them out I could see the shells were also seasoned as some of the season remained on the foil I had baked them on. They held up well as I stuffed them with beyond meat crumbles, guacamole and shredded cheese. They are a lot lighter weight and crispier than the standard shells. After the first bite, you instantly notice it has a bold salt-seasoned flavor and is so thin, crispy and delicious. The flavor mixes in well with the flavor of stuffed content. I made tacos last night for supper with all the fixings. The verdict for the family was a bit mixed on a variety of factors. My husband and son both loved the taste of them, I didn't think I could really taste the shells over all the toppings I loaded them with. Eating them plain I liked the taste, they tasted like cheddar dorititos or cheddar chips or something like that, so I guess taste gets a 5 star with the caveat that I couldn't taste the flavor over the fillings but my family claimed to be able to. As far as presentation, these are easily 5 stars, they stand up on the plate and hold the fillings really well. They looked GOOD on the plate. We absolutely love these Old El Paso bold nacho cheese taco shells. Everytime we go to our local grocery store my son grabs a box before I get a chance to, lol. We usually have these for our Taco Tuesday. They taste like your eating a big Doritos nacho chip. The nacho cheese flavor really comes through in these taco shells. I like that these are the stand 'n stuff shells. This makes them a lot more easier to add your seasoned meat and other toppings you like. I usually fry ground beef but chicken or steak would be good also. Two of these taco shells without meat gives you 180 calories. With the meat you get 340 calories. If you love the flavor of nacho cheese then you really need to try these. We have them at least a couple times out of the month.

To be honest I was never a huge fan of regular tasting taco shells and therefore not the most excited for "Taco Tuesday's" at my house.... That is... Until I tried these nacho cheese flavored taco shells I swear these shells are so yummy! They taste just like cheese Doritos and make tacos taste sooo much better! They are crunchy and cheesey and now have me looking forward to our "Taco Tuesday's" and I finally want more than one taco! 🌮♥️😋💯 Can be found at most local grocery stores and cost the same as those regular, not-so-tasty (2 me) boring taco shells. Absolutely, I will be buying more of these BOLD cheesy taco shells again! ( again again....)
When you make taco meat with brown rice and black beans (seasoned with cumin, chili lime powder, onion and garlic powder, tumeric, Mrs. Dash, toasted sesame oil, italian seasoning, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, fresh cracked black pepper, 2 tbsp lemon juice) and layer on shredded lettuce and diced tomato, sour cream and then mexiblend cheese in the shell -- it's so good! The mexiblend cheese goes so well with the tangy chili lime and lemon juice in the meat mix. The sour cream brings it all together.
Love these shells! They taste so yummy and compliment a good taco meal well. i have only two qualms; very minor and rarely happen (I buy these shells almost every week). The first qualm I have is that the most recent box I bought this week, the shells when cooked could not be stuffed. They like deflated and when you tried to open them to put anything in them they crumbled, so we ate taco salad! The second qualm is that on occasion a few of the shells will be cracked before you undo the wrapping. Again, still taste great and we just make taco salad!
I bought these a while ago and immediately fell in love. But as previously mentioned, they should be in more stores. So I bought regular shells after trying these and it's just not the same. I'm spoiled now and only by the nacho cheese taco shells - even if I have to buy them at another time in a different store.Also wanted to let you know that I have a great idea for a new product. Can you please make these in nacho cheese flavored tostadas? I know they would be a hit! Since you don't currently make this product, I broke the nacho flavored taco shells in half and put refried beans, taco meat, salsa, and cheese on both halves. It was awesome!What...? If I didn’t make 3 dinners every night I feel like my kids would starve to death. Acid reflux, allergies, and different tastes make it near impossible to make just one meal every night. I have four kids and every single one of them absolutely loves the bold tacos. The only problem now is that I have to buy two boxes at a time and they are not on the shelves of my favorite stores anymore.
This is my new favorite taco shell! Do good! After baking they were semi hard.had crunch but not “ hard”. Nicely hard if that makes sense.i love these shells,flavor was excellent. I usually fry my own homemade tortillas but these looked beautiful coming out of the package. To my surprise, not a single one was cracked in the box and to top it off, I LOVED that they stand and how easy it was to load all the wonderful toppings. It looked like a piece of art so I had to take a picture (attached)!! We couldn’t wait to take that first bite.... until we did.... the sound at the table was a chorus of a disappointing, whiny “awwwww!!” The flavor was okay except they were SO STALE - they tasted like a bag of Doritos that was left open at the beach for days. So chewy that we had to rescue the rest of the ingredients by opening a bag of real ...
