I bought this heater due to it's promise to heat the room and keep it at that temperature. It did not warm up a very small room (the room barely fit a single bed and a desk in it). It also broke down after less than a year. Total waste of money.

I bought this last winter but am unable to use it as the plastic feet hook into the bottom of the panel with very thin pieces of plastic which have all just snapped! It's like they've disintegrated. I contacted omega altise but can't get replacement parts for this model as its discontinued. Do not buy. The feet were also prone to coming loose if the heater was rolled in a particular direction and this could result in the panel falling onto the ground.

Purchased this last winter and sometimes I choose the cold then to turn it on. The touch LCD screen picks when it wants to work. I can't change the temp, the timer or even when to turn it on or off I literally have pull it out of the wall. I tap on the touch screen and probably once every 10 goes it recognises I've touched it, then the fight begins in battling out trying to get the right setting. Its a small heater which is enough to heat a bedroom but nothing more and the cable is very short aswell.
Don’t waste your money or time terrible quality and design1. Metal panels make a loud popping noise as they heat up (every few minutes) to keep a room at constant temp. Loud enough to wake a baby2. Looks like a thin panel on box photo but is misleading (it’s actually a 75mm width)3. When you turn it on or adjust settings there’s a loud musical tune again not suitable for bedroom if someone sleeping4. Took 6 weeks to be deliveredSpend the money and buy something better quality
My Omega Altise 2400W Panel Heater - Graphite has been a godsend for my family, it performs well and also looks smart. One issue of concern is that the controls do heat up, this makes it more difficult to move from room to room. This heater does throw out enough heat to warm up a large area which makes it a very worthwhile purchase.
Great product. Starts warming up the room the moment you turn it on, unlike the column heaters. Warm to touch when it is on but never hot enough to burn you so it is safe around kids. Suitable for a large bedroom or living space.
Bought the black version and it looks great, very streamlined. Works well for small rooms with the door closed, and takes the edge off medium sized areas but better for smaller spaces. No noise, no smell. Disappointed that it's hard to move around when it's turned on as there's no 'cool areas' that can be touched, so just make sure you've got it in the right spot before you turn it on.
I really like this heater, I bought it to replace an old radiator heater that had 2/3rds of its bars broken, and this new heater works well. It heats up my bedroom quite quickly. I like the timer feature, I usually set the timer for an hour or two, so it heats up my room well but then turns itself off. The only downside is that as it is black in colour, I have knocked it over a few times at night, being unable to see it! But all in all, this is a great heater with very good features. Highly recommended.
recently brought this and very happy I did. our lounge room doesn't have a heat pump or fire place and this heater pumps out the heat and makes our lounge room nice and toasty in no time. It is so quiet you wouldn't even realise its on. Overall, very happy with my purchased.
