Omron 10 Series Wireless Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor BP7450

The easy-to-use OMRON 10 Series wireless upper arm home blood pressure monitor (BP7450) is powered by OMRON Advanced Accuracy technology, which measures five times more data points for more consistent, precise readings. This OMRON-exclusive technology minimizes the impact your breathing and movements will have on your blood pressure reading results, helping to reduce measurement inconsistencies and errors. The 10 Series wireless upper arm monitor features a horizontally designed, dual LCD monitor, which lets you immediately compare your current reading to your last reading, while the large, black, backlit side-by-side comparison display makes your readings easier to see. This premium blood pressure monitor stores 200 blood pressure readings for two users (100 per user), while the Advanced Averaging feature automatically displays the average of up to the last three readings taken within the last 10 minutes. Sync via Bluetooth to the free OMRON Connect app for unlimited memory, graphs and trend tracking, as well as unlimited users. This monitor includes other OMRON exclusives such as an enhanced Irregular Heartbeat Symbol, which alerts you of the number of irregular heartbeats (up to three) while your blood pressure is being measured, and TruRead technology which, allows you to automatically take three consecutive readings at intervals you can customize (15 seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds, or the optimal two-minute rest period between readings) and displays the average. Additionally, the Hypertension Indicator feature displays a "HIGH" symbol if your systolic (upper) measurement reaches 130 mmHg or above, and/or if your diastolic (lower) measurement reaches 80 mmHg or above. With the monitor, you get the OMRON pre-formed ComFit cuff, which is designed to help reduce cuff placement and measurement errors, and fits arms from 9" to 17" in circumference. It also includes a convenient AC adapter so your monitor is ready whenever you are.

I’ve been using this for over a year. My neurosurgeon suggested for me to get a BP monitor because I have a very high BP ever-since I had a very severe Traumatic Brain Injury that caused my brain arteries to ruptured and released blood into brain tissue. I find this is a great buy for anyone who wants to know accurate blood pressure reading. Readings are consistent and a close match to professional BP monitors. As we all know blood pressures fluctuate every minute and this monitor can take an average of 3 readings over several minutes. Love the feature of this machine. My fiancée and I bought the Omron 10 series automatic blood pressure cuff when I took began to experience high blood pressure. We like this blood pressure machine. One, it has a 2 person setting and has a switch you can slide for person 1 and person 2. Second, each person can download the Omron and connect your phone to the machine via Bluetooth. This app and Bluetooth connection can help you keep a diary of your blood pressure and pulse readings on the app. The machine also notifies you if your pulse abd/or blood pressure is too high or low. The app also records dates and times when your blood pressure is taken, so it's easy to inform your doctor of any times you experienced a spike or dip in your blood pressure or pulse. I have absolutely no issues with the Omron Model BP7450 Blood Pressure Monitor. It integrates well with my Smartphone (Android) through the Omron Connect App, just remember to start the application before you take a BP reading. While not as convenient as a wrist model, this works really well for your "at home" monitor. Save the wrist model for when you travel. Some of the other things I really like are the readings appear to be accurate, they can be compared with the previous reading and you can keep track of your readings for up to a year for two people on the app. You can share this history with your doctor. I bought this Omron 7450 after researching the brand and model. I paid $105 thinking I will get the best. Unfortunately it wasn’t. First off, The cuff is the stiff plastic type which is bulky for taking around. Second problem was the instruction book which is not at all clear; omitting steps and assuming the user is an IT ace. The categories of the instruction are full of health advice but lack logical sequence of operations. The biggest defect was when it came to paring with my Iphone 6 which is accepted by the manufacturer as compatible. Well, you get to a point where the pairing doesnt happen and it keeps asking you to identify whether you are user 1 or user 2. You confirm but it stops there and it repeats the question everytime you confirm. As a 71 yr old, good ... MoreI bought this Omron 7450 after researching the brand and model. Well, you get to a point where the pairing doesnt happen and it keeps asking you to identify whether you are user 1 or user 2. You confirm but it stops there and it repeats the question everytime you confirm. As a 71 yr old, good at these things, I gave up and called my physician son who tried hard but got stuck where I did. So at this point I called CVS central 800 number at 9:45 pm on 8Feb2022 and Jill was kind enough to guide me to the way to return this item. Jill was so kind and understanding and understood the frustration. Omron: It is a shame to put out such a product. CVS: thank you for having a customer service person like Jill. She was perfect. First thing I did today was go to my CVS and return it and have it refunded but losing my 40% coupon that I used in the purchase. I have a thought that this item could have been a resell of a returned item because the packaging felt like it was no the ‘intact’ type.

New Omron Replaces A Much Older Omron
18 March 2021

I have an older Omron that has been very reliable now for many years - despite multiple use every day by two people. The old Omron appears to only now need a new rubber seal for the cuff hose connection, but I just decided it would be smarter to purchase a new one after so many years of use. Like the new Omron, the older Omron also recorded every measurement for two people every day and won't lose the memory - if the batteries aren't installed and the wall connection is disconnected. I never install the batteries anyway unless there is a power outage. Who has used it? A 70 year man and his 99 year old mother. Both of us have had serious heart health issues for many years. The Omron has alerted us to heart health issues before they could become fatal or cause more heart damage by alerting us to seek emergency room treatment and hospitalization quickly - and only when one of us has actually needed to be there. Multiple, including more expensive, other brand monitors I have had were never as reliable as my first Omron. Having now used the new series 10 model Omron, I have found it to be even easier to use than the older Omron (my heart doctor recommended purchasing my first Omron years ago as a replacement). The new Omron's cuff is now easier to adjust on the arm due to its formed, snug, clamping style as you put it on and attach the Velcro closure. Using the Omron three multiple readings average feature, we have always used, allows averaging your blood pressure with one turn on of this machine which is the same as the older machine - instead of relying on just one quick reading or having to use the memory to get an average of the three last individual readings. We both used this feature on the older Omron, but it required sitting still longer. This new Omron allows you to set the interval between the three readings as needed - starting with as short as fifteen second intervals. Another thing very important to me, as I also have severe arthritis, is the older machine's cuff would slide around on my arm as I tried to snug and attach it onto my arm with the Velcro - taking much more time, and causing aggravation when painful arthritis levels limit my arm and shoulder movement. The new machine is also less confusing as there are fewer buttons to press on the front panel (even inadvertently) and it displays the previous average reading with the new average for faster comparison - without pressing additional buttons to go into the machine memory. This is very important to me when I'm having to take my .4mg. nitro tabs. The new Omron's setup for date and time was different from the older one, but I found the supplied instructions covered every feature of operation easily and perfectly. FYI: Don't forget to take your blood pressure readings on both the left and right arm during a high reading event. My poor circulation during such events causes a lower reading in my left arm - where the actual high heart reading will show on the right arm.

My comments are simply my own experiences and opinions and are not meant to be interpreted as medical advice. Please consult your personal physician regarding any serious medical conditions.I purchased the OMRON 10 Model BP7450 blood pressure monitor in late March 2022 through Office Depot after being diagnosed with paroxysmal AFIB. To date I have recorded 186 BP measurements over the past eight days and my review is based on my experience using the OMRON 10 meter.Customer reviews suggested to me that most home BP monitors sold on the market for home use are not particularly accurate. Based on detailed research, I selected the OMRON 10 BP monitor for two reasons: (1) as a former marketer in the medical device industry, I know that OMRON is considered the top company in the BP monitor market; and (2) the reviews on the OMRON 10 model were very positive, especially for accuracy of readings.Office Depot is a great company and they sent me the monitor in double fast time. The OMRON 10 was well packaged and in great condition upon arrival at my home. Take m word for it - the OMRON 10 is very easy to set up. You can do it. It can be powered up either by batteries (included) or by connecting it directly to a power source using a USB port. Let me interject here that I specifically purchased the OMRON 10 model because I could power up the unit directly to an electrical outlet. Many BP monitors are battery-only devices. The operational controls are pretty easy to figure out however OMRON provides a very readable User Manual with lots of diagrams and illustrations. First you need to use the User Manual to set the correct date (a bit tricky) on the machine and review how to wear the BP cuff on your upper arm.I am a very detailed guy - make that super detailed - so I try to create the same experience every time I measure my BP and pulse. Therefore, I sit erect in my office chair (purchased from Office Depot), left arm resting on my printer at heart level, play Tibetan meditation music and remain relatively motionless while taking my readings. I then record my readings on an Excel spreadsheet in great detail. This record includes the date and time of the reading, BP and pulse results, and notes of interest (i.e., just finished a meal, felt heart palpitations, exercised an hour before, or just wok up, etc.). Keeping this type of detailed "diary" can possibly be of help to your physician. May I add that I discussed purchasing a BP monitor with my cardiologist beforehand and asked what brand he would recommend. He advised me to purchase an OMRON BP monitor. So, in my experience, setting up the OMRON 10 in my home office next to the computer and printer makes the entire process (taking the BP readings; seat position during readings; calming music; and recording my results with notes) very convenient for systematically controlling the experience. As an MBA with an emphasis on statistics and quantitative data analysis, I certainly "feel" that the OMRON 10 is giving me pretty accurate readings. Why? I try to take 5-6 readings in a row when I feel the urge to do so. In this way I can get a feel for how consistently the OMRON 10 is measuring my BP and pulse. In this regard I am not seeing any wild swings in data metrics being recorded. That makes me "feel" that the readings are solid. Second, my range of BP and pulse metrics are similar to readings (both high BP readings and normal, low BP readings) that have been taken in my physician's office and Urgent Care during my AFIB episodes. So I am not seeing any really unusual BP or pulse readings at home. I do plan to take my OMRON 10 to my physician's office and take some readings on it while a nurse takes concurrent readings with the more expensive BP monitors in the office to do a "quality control check" just to see if my OMRON 10 is reading low, high, or the same as the physician's BP monitor. In conclusion, I am extremely happy with my purchase of the OMRON 10 BP monitor. It cost approximately $110 and I feel that it is worth every penny. The OMRON 10 feels like a high quality BP monitor. I trust the results and, in the end, that is all that matters. If you need a high quality BP monitor and your emotional and physical health requires data that you can trust, I would strongly recommend purchasing the OMRON 10 blood pressure monitor. I hope my information helps you with your health care decision making. Much success, good health, and happiness to you.

Bought this mainly for its claims of accuracy which it seems to be. But the user interface is what I have a lot of issues with. Its not arranged in a straightforward manner especially when looking at past readings history. You cant turn the automatic 3 measurement mode on and off without resetting the whole thing.! In order to do a new reading you have to shut it off and turn it on again. The Bluetooth app is awful. I made multiple tries to get it to connect but was only able to connect on the first try. Troublesome cuff and app. Too big
16 July 2023

I bought this unit to update my old OMRON and better track my blood pressure. First the cuff is a complete pain to use. It’s preformed stiff shape and my 9.25” arm don’t match well. Then the app is incomprehensible if you want it to sync for two users. When I go to my history it’s got my spouse’s data intermingled. Just using the unit without the app works better in that I can see my history without my spouses mixed in. The unit is also very large, larger than my old OMRON unit which had a printer built in! I don’t need this aggravation as it makes my blood pressure higher. I’m returning it and will find another.

Worth the investment in better bp device.

Previous bp monitor was inconsistent within multiple readings. Researched reviews and chose Omron 10 from Best Buy (best price) and waited for free delivery. Took a bit longer to receive than from Amazon, but worth the few day extra wait for a device that performs so well! The app is easy to set up. Direction are very clear. Easy to read. Cuff gets tighter than previous bp monitor. The averaging gives more realistic idea on how bp is doing. Ability to share to doctor is nice. Comparison readings on display are easy to ready. Irregular heartbeat is bonus. Multiple displays of data are on app to choose what fits your need. Plug-in features with battery backup is an environment-better choice, too. Would purchase this one again. Note: Discovered that increased water ... MorePrevious bp monitor was inconsistent within multiple readings. painful cuff

I like the meter itself. but I don't like that preformed cuff. that's strange to me. and it was extremely uncomfortable on my arm. it feels like it's formed for an 8 in arm even though it says it goes up to 19 in. my arm measures about 18 inches. it's also difficult to close the cuff with that hard plastic on the inside. why did they need to put a HARD molded piece of plastic inside the cuff that goes around your arm?!?!?!. it's quite painful. I'm currently trying to see if I can find a cuff that does not have that molded hard plastic in it that will work with the omron10 . the cuff itself shouldn't be but 5 or 10 dollars and I'm not finding anything lower than 20 to $30. some of them are even 50. pay $100 for the meter and the cuff does not fit right because of ... MoreI like the meter itself. but I don't like that preformed cuff. that's strange to me. and it was extremely uncomfortable on my arm. it feels like it's formed for an 8 in arm even though it says it goes up to 19 in. my arm measures about 18 inches. it's also difficult to close the cuff with that hard plastic on the inside. why did they need to put a HARD molded piece of plastic inside the cuff that goes around your arm?!?!?!. it's quite painful.
