Although I didn’t like the price of this one, there are plenty cheaper that did the same job, I purchased it purely because it does not have the green amber and red on display. For me personally, this adds to anxiety about my blood pressure, as I’m already in the process of trying to bring it down with medication. It would often will fall into the amber category and I don’t see the point of needing this, hence I wanted a plain and simple one. I am a health professional and this one is suitable for my needs. I would’ve expected it to be cheaper though.

I bought this device purely for its recommendations as being one of the better ones,now to add a comment, to get a rough idea of what your BP is i took three reading one after the other and yes they were rather close to each other so on the hole not a bad device,got it on sale which is a bonus would i recommend it? only if it was on sale, to me at the end of the day its BP and pulse reading device not 100% accurate (three different reading) but for the price i can't grumble( if I got the same readings every time is that possible? I don't know then I would whole heartedly recommend this device)

I bought this for use at home to monitor the blood press of family members. Easy to use and has the advantage that, in the familiar environment of one's home, it is a better indicator of one's at rest blood pressure than in a doctor's surgery. Also one can make a series of, say, daily readings which can then be averaged to give a more useful result when studying longer term variations. Thus the effect of changing the amount of a medication on one's blood pressure can be assessed.

After 3 weeks it has stopped working, not the batteries.Second one to fail in a short period.Suspect very poor quality manufacturing.The first one of these I had lasted 7 years which was OK.

I bought this BP monitor as it was recommended by my GP. It is easy to use but unfortunately I found it extremely painful. I think it bruised my arm, so then I had to use the other arm. My husband was able to use it without any problems.

This is the 2nd one I’ve purchased as had dropped the previous one a couple of times. Great little monitor at a good price. Wouldn’t be without mine as I have to keep an eye on my BP. Would definitely recommend.

As expected

It measures blood pressure. Seems to measure it fairly consistentlyThe machine build quality is nice. It is plastic but it is high-quality feeling plastic. It doesn't rattle from shaking and in general seems like a decent piece of industrial design. The button and the front feel a little bit cheaper with screen protector like soft plastic. But realistically? I only need to press the button once a day. Doesn't hugely bother me that it isn't a cherry red switch.The arm brand seems durable with clean stitching work. It is synthetic fabrics but again since it isn't something I wear all the time, and won't have to wash often, I find it acceptable.

Frequent error messages and no readings

Bought on recommendation of GP. Cuff supplied with machine was too small and kept ripping the Velcro and coming off. So ordered their large cuff (optional extra). That's probably too big - but at least it was long enough to go round and stay fixed on. Spent a week trying to get two daily readings from this machine. Sometimes it took 6 attempts to get any reading at all. Sometimes we gave up altogether. Most often it gave an error message saying BP was abnormally high or low - and no reading was given (only the error message). I don't believe was 'abnormal', or if it was, the limits in the machine are inappropriate. We actually can't tell if its the machine that's faulty or the cuff that's too big (or not fitted properly), or the way we're trying to use it, but after ... MoreBought on recommendation of GP. But at least it gives a reading every time. Can't do with a blood pressure machine that refuses to give you the blood pressure and only gives you an error message! The unreliability of this machine actually increased the anxiety about using it - which increased the BP anyway. It might work for some, but we're notat all happy with it, and now regard it as having been a waste of money.

Great monitor

Wonderful monitor, on every pocket. Very happy with purchase. Easy to use . I had to buy a large sleeve because of my Husbands big arms. It came with batteries what is great. Came fast within 1,5 day. Recommend item .

This is an excellent piece of kit.

This is an excellent piece of kit. The talk back is useful but you can turn it off if you want. (I found It made using the equipment strangely compulsive!) Any blood pressure monitor isn't going to last too long on 4x AAA batteries but a simple USB cable via PC (or phone charger) works just as well. After a spell in ICU we wanted to keep an eye on things and along with a blood oxygen levels indicator we found this was fine. And for the price you can't go really go wrong. There is a memory facility to store the results with different users.
