This battery drains so fast. The degree is not exact and the price is quite high. When I use it for my son, I have to check temperature 4-5 times and it shows different number. However, If your temperature is high, it will so the high number. Otherwise, If your temperature is normal, it will so the right number

Always wanted one

I’ve always wanted a forehead thermometer after stuffing around with an ear unit for many years. The Omron unit was a brand I’ve known and trusted before and at a very reasonable price. The unit is user friendly and very handy to have in this current climate.

Best forehead thermometer

Best forehead thermometer. Accurate Measurement. Using it since last two days. It came with a pouch. I was confused to which thermometer to buy as I saw many unknown Brands. Now I think I got a best product with good performance. The plastic body of the thermometer is also very strong.

Consumes Batteries like there's no tomorrow!

I bought this thermometer back in Nov 2019 and I just replaced the battery for the 3rd time today (28/Aug/20). I'd never owned an electronic thermometer before and regret not doing some research before this purchase; I simply trusted the Omron brand which was a big mistake. All the reviews tell a similar story. Inaccurate reading and batteries which don't last because it obviously has a design flaw that allows the power to drain even when it's not in use. I bought it when my wife became ill. I guess we used it frequently initially say 20-30 times over a period of a few weeks. After that we put it away and got it out again a few months later to find the battery was flat. After replacing the battery I only used it once to test that it was working and packed it away then today I wanted to check my temperature only to find the battery was flat once again. Very frustrating! By the way I phoned the Omron customer service number to see what they had to say about the battery life but nobody answered; instead I had to leave a recorded message which I did asking them to call me back but guess what, nobody did so that's a double fault for Omron. So my advice to you is to steer clear and buy any thermometer other than the Omron brand.

Gives temperatures with 1 degree Celsius

This thermometer shows temperatures with 1 degree Celsius difference at 2 different points on the forehead. I have not at all been able to get accurate temperature of my kid who is 1 year. On his left temple it shows 37.3, on forehead 38.2 and on right temple it shows 38.8. Not at all accurate.

Good product.

The battery that came with it did not last long. The design is compact and easy to wipe. I use this for community nursing and fits well in my bag insert pockets. Easy to use but you just need to get used to it to make if feel easier. There’s a bit of a lag when you want to retake the temperature (if ever it was error before that). I just got used to it eventually. It is on standby when not in use with the room temperature reading on its screen, maybe that’s why battery didn’t last too long.

Inaccurate Result Waste of money

I bought this last Saturday for my kid as i do not want to disturbed him while he is sleeping to take his temperature at night but the result is inaccurate it always gives a higher reading even the temperature is normal. I tried to returned to chemist warehouse but unfortunately the manager did not allow me to exchange or refund what she suggested is to replace the battery , so i did but even the battery is new the result is still iinaccurate. Very disappointed its not worth it waate of money.

Lousy thermometer

Bought this thermometer 4 months ago.Used maybe a couple of times.Already out of battery and it uses CR2032. Who uses these batteries these days for such devices. The battery compartment was large enough to hold 2 x AAA batteries yet they used the button battery. No careful thoughts put into this thermometer when designing.Hassle to use as well as the thermometer does an initialisation before it checks the temperature.If you want something easy to use, stay away from this thermometer.

Omron thermometer

Not overly impressed. Inconsistent readings. Fidly to activate and turn off. Chews battery. Battery type too small, plenty of room in handle to re-design for AAA or AA batteries. Had it 3 years, time to change.

Terrible feature/ terrible battery life

This thermometer is terrible.Inly two bottoms which makes confusing if you want to see the saved temperature or change setting, or the settings change by mistake and it is hard to return to your previous settings.Also,The temperature is inconsistent.Sometimes shows 36.6 and next 38.1. Not kidding. Plis the battery doesn’t lat 2 months.
